For Urinary Tract Stones "Was diagnosed with 5 kidney stones 3 on one side and 2 on the other in September of 2018. I had one blasted and two were very small and they passed quite quickly. The other two remaining were one in the left and one in the right. Doctor prescribed Flomax to help pass as they were large. One passed about 3 months after discovering it. It was approx 6mm in size. The other one went from my kidney to my bladder in October 2019. I passed that stone today (Feb 1, 2020) and it’s approx 10 mm. I’m lucky that passed and flomax I am sure helped to be able to pass a stone that size."

For Urinary Tract Stones "I have had a 6mm stone for almost a year without any problems. Almost a week ago I started having pain with the stone so I went to urologist. He put me on Flomax and pain medicine. He said if it didn't pass in a few days I would need surgery. I didn't want surgery especially because of the stint. I passed the stone a few hours after second dose of Flomax."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I used this for BHP I took it for 9 months before quitting due to side effects. It helped some on getting up at night, but not worth it. My ejaculate almost disappeared before I realized it was happening. Also my sexual desire decreased. Replaced flomax with doxazosin, which was a little better, but not much. Stopped everything and had Rezum procedure. Now I am back to normal. Meds with negative sexual side effects are not for me."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Upon starting on Flowmax, urination flow was 100% improved. After 1 month urine flow somewhat more diminished but still well better than without taking Flomax. Trying to work through side effects including mild headache, lightheaded, diminished libido/sexual desire, diminished volume in bowel movements, gas. In my 3rd month of Flomax and not sure the benefits will win over the many side effects I am experiencing."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I started taking tamsulosin in the middle of September 2019. After a few weeks I started to develop a loss of appetite and a debilitating weaknesses. I became nauseous and was unable to eat. This was not a tired or drowsiness but a profound weakness that prevented anything associated with normal activities. I stopped taking tamsulosin on Thursday 10/10/19. I guess I will know better in a few days."

For Urinary Tract Stones "felt the familiar symptoms of a stone. doctor said it was 4 mm. gave me flowmax. I had symptoms of the stone for about 3 days. Took one flowmax pill, and within 8 hours the stone passed. My past experience was to have two stones stick and require surgery. Was it the flowmax, or would it have passed on its own? Who knows....for now I am a believer!"

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Initially, I took the low dosage and flow improved for about a week. Then the condition worsened. My doctor then upped my dosage to two pill per day. Same thing happened initially - flow improved and then reverted back to the prior condition. But as I continued to use the drug (2 times a day) the improved condition returned. Sometimes the flow is better than other times - like when my bladder is more full. Trips to the bathroom at night were reduced to 0 to 1 time. Side effects. Initially, I experienced many side effects - runny noise, minor headache, aches and weakness in my back and shoulder, and retrograde ejaculation. Retrograde ejaculation is the only side effect that seems to persist."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I have been using a combination of Flomax with Finesteride for a period of say 2 years. Actually this drug met my requirement, such as smooth urination and broad and fast streeming. If I forget to take this capsule in one night, in the morning all troubles relapse. Disadventage is the side effects. I am having so many mild problems, such as postural hypotension, peeling inside hands and legs, mild migraine, intermittent constipation, but I don't know whether I can attribute all these complaints to the drug. My serious problem is retrograde ejaculation. Fortunately there is no priapism. Second serious problem is meagre erection, so I seldom share bed with my wife. But masturbate once weekly, which does not require full erection."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Been on Flomax for BPH for 7-8 yrs now. Its improved my urinary volume and flow rate But it has also caused me to have dry ejaculations at times. I can maintain erection and have mutiple ejaculations, but its effect on relaxing the prostate slows my volume of ejaculate."

For Urinary Tract Stones "2014 I had back pain and after a scan found out I had a kidney stone located at the top of the ureter. I don't recall the size but it was slightly too big to pass. My doctor suggested we might need to "take it out" if it didn't pass. I did some research on remedies. Drank lemon juice and olive oil like crazy, but nothing. Then discovered info online about Flomax helping. I suggested it to my doctor, he was reluctant but said "ok". I took Flomax for 2 days. The dull back pain went away almost immediately. I stopped taking it and must have passed it. Never felt it again! Thank you Flomax! PS Side effects do seem to start in 2-3 days. So, short courses with breaks in between recommended."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I was having the usual symptoms - hesitation, weak stream, frequency day and night, incomplete emptying - sometimes couldn't go at all unless I got in a hot shower. Very frustrating. I started and stopped this twice. First time was alarmed at ejaculation problems (no semen), the second time for irregular heartbeat. But the side effects seem to have subsided this third try even though I I don't ejaculate, I do reach orgasm. This is a minor bother compared to how effective it is at solving all my symptoms. I've been on it two weeks."

For Urinary Tract Stones "I have bilateral medullary sponge kidney disease and pass stones almost daily. Although it does not relieve the pain, it does help pass the stones and prevent an obstruction. I no longer experience any of the side effects like dizziness, but I also take it at night. I have a history of cardiac reactions to medications and sometimes a stone will cause my heart rate to skyrocket to 160 with a blood pressure of 165/100, but it is clearly the stones and not caused by Flomax. My only complaint is that my insurance refuses to pay for this medicine because I am a woman. I don't think that is right, and I'm not going to accept that kind of discrimination. Even my doctor's office is surprised by the discrimination."

For Urinary Tract Stones "I took one for the first time before bedtime hoping for it to help pass a large stone. I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and the room starting spinning. I came back into my bedroom and either fell on the floor or fainted resulting in a fractured toe and rib. Once I got up I experienced chills throughout the night. I'm not taking them anymore - no wonder the FDA hasn't approved them for women."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "After a few days Flomax did work and increased my stream. I was unable to orgasm or ejaculate on this drug. If you have no interest in sex it does work. I took lowest dosage. I believe it was .04 MG I stopped taking the drug. Going to Dr. to try another."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I have frequent urination at night. Dr prescribed Flomax. I took my first pill last evening 30 minutes after dinner. Felt nauseous in the morning. Got up for work and nearly passed out in the shower. Flopped on the bed wrapped in a towel. Had a cold sweat. My BP must have dropped. I did not go to work today and have been lethargic all day. I am not taking Flomax ever again."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Since being on Flomax my bowels don't function properly. Constipation. Need laxative every 3 days. Stomach aches, cramps, low energy, dizziness. Just generally feel bad. Hardly ever leave home now. Its terrible. Been on it 90 days. Wasn't sick until I started taking this drug. I'll elect surgery early if necessary to get off this drug."

For Urinary Tract Stones "Went to the ER with severe pain in right side. Diagnosed with a 4mm stone and given Flomax and pain meds. I am a 57 yr old woman. Took Flomax for 5 days. Began to have very painful breasts and pain in my other kidney. Also shooting pain in my hips and legs. Almost as if I was having my period even though that ended for me long ago. Would not take Flomax again. Has taken two weeks to start feeling normal again. I did pass the stone but the side effects were too scary."

For Urinary Tract Stones "29years old. Kidney stone dropped me to the floor, in tears, on my first day of work @ a great new job. Manager had to drive me to ER. Not a good look in a blue collar line of work. Literally threw up on myself from the pain. Turned down morphine due to past narcotic dependency. Toradol saved me that day, but stones not gone. Got CT done, "One 5mm, two 2mm". Flomax for past three weeks. Just passed an 8mm stone....laughing & joyously celebrating! Haha I've watched my father suffer through a dozen stones. He never took flomax. I know that what I just passed should not have come out that easily/painlessly."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Before Flomax for 6 weeks I had experienced urgency to urinate, dribbling, reduced flow. Within one day of starting Flomax, it was like magic - I noticed increased flow, no dribbling, no urgency to urinate, less frequent urination. Also, I noticed that the muscles in my groin area seemed more relaxed. I did notice an undesirable side effect though; dry mouth. I have to speak a lot at work, and a couple of times my mouth dried up and I had difficult speaking."

For Urinary Tract Stones "Female here. Had 2 stones one was 24mm and the other is 12 mm. Had Litho on the 24 mm stone 3 weeks ago with a stent and have slept on the toilet since that has been the only comfortable position. Dr. Wouldn' t give me any more pain pills. Then I go in for my "stent removal" he says I still have a lot of sediment to come out yet. As I cried in the office because of the 9 out of 10 out of control misery this stent is and has caused for over 3 weeks. He says well we could try flomax. I take the .4 TWICE a day and let me tell you I peed out more stone in 3 days than I collected in 3 weeks AND the "discomfort" is down to a 2/10. Thankfully cause I have to leave the stent in another 1-2 weeks. At least I'm not crying anymore. My only noticeable side effect is WILDLY detailed and terrifying dreams. But hey, At least I am sleeping."
