"I started on Nurtec for rescue. It really toned down the Mig6, but left me exhausted. My pharmacy doctor switched to preventing, the same results - exhaustion. Not sure how long I'll stay on it. I've had migraines my whole life, so any meds that help I appreciate. Been on the preventive for a week. Will come back after a month and make a new report."

Rimegepant "I was getting migraines about once or twice a week. Without treatment, I was affected for about 2 days each occurrence. I began taking Nurtec, and within 2 to 4 hours, would get considerable relief. The neurology practitioner I see recommended taking it preventively every other day, and it has worked great. Sometimes, I feel as if a migraine is coming on but doesn't actually materialize. I can't remember the last severe migraine I had! There have been no side effects, and I did have allergic reactions to other meds such as Ajovy and Qulipta."

Rimegepant "Less than 24 hrs, it gives me stomach issues and can’t be far from the bathroom. From overly soft stools to diarrhea. Not worth me continuing to take it when I am miserable with my stomach."

Rimegepant "Ended up getting a rash all over about 10 days in, and if I was late on a dose (by hours), the migraine symptoms would start kicking up. Vestibular migraines."

Rimegepant "I get migraine headaches every day. The first time I took Nurtec, it prevented migraine attacks for 6 days. I was so excited, I decided to relax on my strict migraine diet, just to see how much of a preventive it would be. On the 7th day, I developed a bad migraine attack. I took Nurtec, and it did not kill the headache. In desperation, I took 2 Excedrin migraine pills that made it go away (when in the past, no over-the-counter migraine NSAIDs worked on me). Only after 6 hours, the migraine went away. Apparently, I should take Nurtec every other day, but it is too expensive a drug. I've been on Imitrex for 13 years, and it serves to keep the migraine at bay for 24 hours. They are rebound headaches, I guess, but I'd rather take the Triptan (Imitrex) than suffer through terrible migraines that usually last 48 hours. I am debating on whether to switch to Nurtec. I feel my body's reaction to triptans is waning since I've been taking it for such a long time."
