Rimegepant "My last migraine, I ended up in the ER with their migraine cocktail after multiple doses of Maxalt and Ubrelvy. Usually, those work fine. Today, when I took the Nurtec, I immediately got nauseous. Soon after, I was having dry heaves. Verdict still out."

Rimegepant "Just started taking (approx. 1 week) for migraine prevention. One dose every two days. No side effects, but woke up with a migraine. Took my scheduled dose, however, it did not ease my migraine. So far, it has not prevented nor helped my migraines."

Rimegepant "I have had a great experience with Nurtec ODT. I went from waking up with a migraine every day to having maybe 3-4 a month, and they are controlled with Imitrex. I have been on it every other day for 3 months and have noticed in the last couple of weeks an increase in my migraines. Not sure what this is about. Otherwise, Nurtec gave me my life back."

Rimegepant "I've been on Nurtec for a month. I'm new to migraine medication and didn't know my daily headaches were migraines until a hemiplegic attack led me to the hospital for what I thought was a stroke. I'm 43, have a high pain tolerance, and have idiopathic intracranial hypertension. I didn't know what 'silent migraines' were until a neurologist explained them, and the auras, numbness, etc. are what drove me to get treatment. Now that I've been on Nurtec, I notice the migraines because I've felt what life is like without them. Occasionally, one slips through at about the 36-hour mark though, and since I'm prescribed Nurtec as a routine every other day medication, I don't want to take another one earlier and risk running out before my refill. There aren't studies past 17 doses/month, so I'm not migraine free just yet. My only side effect has been bloating, and for me, considering my IBS, that's impressive and tolerable."

Rimegepant "I've been taking this medication for about 3 months, and it definitely does help. I've gone from up to 10-15 migraines a month to maybe 2 or 3. I also experience no side effects from this, which is a huge plus. I haven't taken it for acute treatment, so I can't comment on whether or not it works for that, but if you're looking for a preventative, I'd say give it a shot!"

Rimegepant "This product doesn’t do anything for me! I've had chronic migraines for years, and Botox worked wonders, but Nurtec does nothing, no instant relief or long-term relief. Nothing. Like I never took anything! And for over $2000 a month! Get out of here. Terrible, terrible product."

Rimegepant "Truck pulled out in front of me on my motorcycle last sec hit the side of it. Truck had a helmet on. Destroyed my knee, left side, destroyed my left shoulder. Worst of all, severe head injury, out for 30 min, woke up in an ambulance. Migraines - like U wouldn’t believe. Major head injury headaches every single day, migraines - tried every drug possible until NURTEC, only thing that works - gives me some peace. Before I got Nurtec, I had to try every other drug. Nothing helped. That’s all I can tell you. Hopefully, they come out with a drug that you can take once or twice a month, and it will alleviate your migraines for the month. So, I would have to rate it right now like a 9 to me."

Rimegepant "Been taking for about 6 months for my chronic migraine syndrome. The first few times, I did have the stomach pain that others are describing, but it went away after the first week. I had daily migraines and now only 3 to 4 days a week, so about a 50% improvement, I’ll take it! I definitely recommend trying Nurtec, I’m glad I did! You can also get it for free as long as your doctor submits the paperwork to Pfizer."

Rimegepant "I've had migraines since I was a young child. My 2-3 migraine days a month became 3-4 migraine days a week with nausea, auras, speech, and cognitive issues. Sumatriptan gave minor relief and unwanted side effects. While taking Nurtec every other day for 2 months, I've had 2 minor migraines, one self-inflicted. I took an early dosage to treat the breakthrough migraine and adjusted my schedule accordingly. Sometimes migraines try to creep in just before the next dose. I still get some brain fog, but I'm not sure of the actual cause. No noticeable side effects! So happy not to miss work or life because I'm 'sleeping off' a migraine. Feels like a miracle. The disintegrating tablets are convenient, but the packaging is frustrating. The expense is terribly prohibitive. Wish my sis could try it. Currently, my insurance does not cover it, but I receive it at no cost. I would hate to lose access at this point. It's certainly not for everyone, but is a major relief for me."

Rimegepant "I have been dealing with chronic migraines for most of my life and started taking this every other day (doctor recommended) after using it as an abortive medication, and migraines are popping up but manageable. My migraines tend to go on for days, and that is still happening, though muted by Nurtec. I still have to take the cocktail of ibuprofen and Tylenol to stop it often. It is my last option since I have tried literally all other medications. The nausea and other symptoms are always present. My family commented yesterday that I am not acting like myself. I’m feeling constantly tired, spaced out, slowed down, easily frazzled, having a hard time understanding what people are telling me, even in a text message. It’s even hard to make decisions as simple as ordering food at a restaurant. I read that Nurtec and Verapamil can interact with one another, and this may be what’s happening. I think I will stop Nurtec and just deal with the headaches."

Rimegepant "I was experiencing more migraines per month and had been taking Ubrelvy, which worked initially, but as time went on was not really effective. My doctor started me on Nurtec as a preventative two months ago, and I have not had a 'full-blown' migraine since. I have had the 'start' of a migraine two or three times, with aura and visual disturbances, light sensitivity - but it never progressed from there and was completely resolved in less than an hour or two. Previously, my migraines lasted all day long, sometimes into the following day, and caused me to vomit, to miss work, and to be completely bedridden. So this is a huge improvement! Although I am cautiously optimistic, since it's only been two months. As far as side effects are concerned, the first week I felt slightly nauseous for a little while after taking it, but not anymore. I have been experiencing really vivid dreams as well, but not sure if that is a side effect."

Rimegepant "I love this medication. It doesn’t work every time, but my body has gotten too used to Sumatriptan, so I have to have an alternative. I also get Botox and Aimovig. I’m now using Nurtec as a preventative, so I take it every other day and have seen great results. I don’t get any nausea, but I love how it doesn’t make you tired like Sumatriptan does. I highly recommend you try it if your insurance covers it."

Rimegepant "I have been battling chronic intractable migraines for 9 years. I tried Nurtec last year, and it didn't seem to help, but after so many days of high-level pain, I decided to give it another try. Within about two hours of taking it, my migraine pain was reduced drastically. The pain reduced from an 8 to about a 4, so at least I could get up and function. Unfortunately, I also developed severe GERD and upper abdominal pain within a few hours of taking it. It also gave me insomnia. More than 24 hours later, my stomach still really hurts, and GERD is still in full effect. It's beyond frustrating to trade one problem for another. CGRP is present in the gastric tract, and I suppose by blocking it, some people experience more gastric problems than others. I'm not sure if I will continue taking it due to the side effects."

Rimegepant "I've been taking it for a couple of years now. It definitely keeps them away if I take it in time. It bothers my stomach, and I think it affects my moods. But overall, I feel it's worth it. Hopefully, there's no major negative long-term effects from it because, as long as I'm covered, I will continue to take."

Rimegepant "I’ve had migraines for over 20 years, and I feel like I’ve tried everything. Drugs like Imitrex have never worked for me. My migraines like to come with no warning and sometimes wake me up in the middle of the night. My doctor suggested Emgality, which was absolutely amazing, but I had bad allergic reactions to the injections that forced me to stop using it after 6 months. I’ve been taking Nurtec every other day for a month now, and while it’s not as effective in preventing headaches, it allows me to have a normal life with no migraines (so far), which makes me so happy. I’m not terrified of waking up in the morning with a migraine. The taste is similar to Zofran, and it dissolves fairly quickly. It is expensive, though, and it took two weeks for my insurance to approve it, but it’s totally worth it. I’m willing to do everything I can for no migraines. I hope it works out as a long-term solution for my migraines."

Rimegepant "I have been prescribed everything under the sun for my headaches. Recently, Nurtec ODT. I just took my second dose yesterday, no help with the headaches, constant bowel movements, and now I have the worst metallic taste in my mouth. Will be contacting my neurologist Monday."

Rimegepant "I was getting migraines once a week or more. After I started Nurtec every other day, I started to keep track of my migraines. It went from every few days to only one every two weeks. The pain level went down too! I rarely have to shut myself in a dark room now when I have a migraine now. I haven't noticed any side effects either, so overall I'm really happy with this medicine."

Rimegepant "I have used several medications for debilitating migraines for years. They have seemed to get worse and more debilitating with hormone changes, weather, and allergies as my triggers. I finally found that the use of Topiramate daily in conjunction with Nurtec is the key for me. I used Nurtec at first for the onset of migraines and now it’s approved as a preventative so I can take it every other day. It’s like a miracle for me. It kicks in within 45 minutes and keeps the migraine away. If I have any residual headache left from a bad one, I can take Ibuprofen or Tylenol to knock out the remainder. If my insurance and pharmacy would work better together, I would never have to worry about being without it, but unfortunately, that is my biggest issue. On occasion, I get slightly nauseated but don’t need to be medicated for it because it is subtle. For me, it has been a game changer."

Rimegepant "Been taking Nurtec ODT for one month and just ordered my 2nd round from the pharmacy. I haven't had any side effects, and the medication doesn't seem to do anything for my headache pain, but I'm going to give it another try for a 2nd month. Also, I take Aimovig shots, Sumatriptan, and when the pain gets really bad, Percocet. I've had the Botox injections, which did nothing for me but enriched my neurologist."

Rimegepant "I chose Nurtec when I developed a chronic migraine with up to 3 attacks a day after two severe respiratory infections (non-Covid). I was quite astonished when it worked instantly. I started exactly 12 weeks ago, and in these 12 weeks I had exactly three migraine attacks, no more. But these three attacks were full-blown attacks with flicker scotomas as aura, and each required 2 rizatriptan 10 mg tablets and one eletriptan 40 mg tablet until the headache cleared. Since I have no side effects at all, I will continue with Nurtec."

Rimegepant "My doctor prescribed this medication to help prevent my migraines (without aura) and also to allow the Imitrex I was already taking to be more effective. I have been taking it for 3 months and have noticed a decrease in the amount of monthly migraine attacks. But more noticeable for me was that the migraines were less severe and my Imitrex started working again. Where a migraine used to last 3 days, even when taking Imitrex, now they last maybe an hour or 2 if Imitrex is taken as soon as the onset symptoms start. It’s made a huge difference for me. However, it does not work as acute migraine relief for me."

Rimegepant "I have had migraines since 1982 (with and without auras - vision so bad I couldn't focus). Since then, I have had multiple sinus surgeries, which actually reduced the migraines, but multiple cervical fusions made it worse. I still get auras like rippling water over a rocky stream or flashing lights. Sometimes these are with or without pain, but I pretty much live with headaches 24/7 and have seen pain management since my last cervical fusion. They gave me a sample of this medication (to try) as a preventative where you take it every second day. On the days I took the med, it helped with the pain, where I could ignore it if I was busy. On the days I didn't take it, the pain was worse than it had been before I even tried the med. With one last tablet to take, it appears that it is not the medication for me. Side note... I did have some of the side effects they listed such as photophobia, nausea, and abdominal issues, but if this had worked, I might have stayed with it."

"No headaches for 6 weeks and then 5 days of migraines. Felt lightheaded a lot of the time and then these last few days worse. Canceled outings and lightheadedness worse. Felt awful. Not taking them again and will get in touch with the neurologist on Monday."

Rimegepant "Migraines for many years. Recently diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia also occipital neuralgia. Am getting Botox for migraines and it is beneficial. Also use Nurtec as an extra med. Works quite well when taken promptly before symptoms become entrenched. Did not know what a pain-free life was like, but now have periods of no migraine pain. Nurtec alone would not accomplish this, but as an add-on it is good. As a senior citizen, Nurtec coupons are not available, so my insurance pays $600 and I have to pay $400, but I don't take Nurtec as often as I need to because cost is a factor. If I were in a lower income bracket, it would be free, and if I were in a higher income bracket, the cost would not be so important, but with an average income, it is way too expensive."

Rimegepant "I was suffering from recurring migraines. Some migraines are random, others are induced by smells or repetitive sounds. I would get vertigo as my first signal that a migraine was coming on. My doctor suggested I try Nurtec ODT and see how it works for me. He said that many of his patients have responded well to it. I had a migraine start coming on while at work. I immediately reached for the Nurtec ODT sample and placed it under my tongue. Within fifteen minutes the symptoms started to subside and within 30 they were almost fully gone. I still had that feeling of head pressure but in one hour all symptoms were gone and I could get back to my day. Thank you Nurtec ODT."
