For Bowel Preparation "Five years ago, I was prescribed MoviPrep prior to a colonoscopy. Although it was effective, I began to vomit due to the sheer volume of putrid liquid I was instructed to drink within an hour. The 'cleansing' was unpredictable and constant. I was instructed to take a split dose, the net result was absolutely no sleep for 24 hours. I had another colonoscopy this week and requested another prep. The doctor prescribed something else that was so much better. Not to say the initial 5 oz. didn't taste horrible, it did, but the rest of the prep was manageable. I took a split dose and was able to sleep before and after the second dose. I will never take this product again."

"The worst taste ever! It is 3:30 and I am on my second batch of this stuff. Not sure I will be able to get the entire second batch down. I'm really feeling like I am going to vomit. MoviPrep does work and works very fast, but it is like drinking really bad ocean saltwater with a strong taste of lemon. I am 52 and in excellent shape. Hope I don't have to do this again real soon. If so, I'll do MoviPrep over a 2-day period. Good luck : )"

For Bowel Preparation "BLEAH! This stuff was foul tasting, and while I was able to get down the first dose, which I took at 6 p.m., my body wasn't having anything to do with finishing the second dose, which I started at 6 a.m. I had just finished the third glassful and promptly threw up. No heaves; just opened my mouth and it left in a hurry. Now I'm due for another colonoscopy, since obviously the prep for the first one didn't work, and I'm going to try to take Suprep. Wish me luck."

For Bowel Preparation "This is a revolting substance. Managed to down a liter in an hour and a half (started at 5 pm, it is now 7:40 pm). Been on the loo since about 6:45 pm, it is certainly working. However, I am DREADING taking the next liter at 8 pm and wondering how I will make it downstairs to actually retrieve the solution! I threw up the last glassful I took. Surely there is a better way than this?!!! ☹️"

For Bowel Preparation "Honestly, the worst thing I have ever drank in my entire life. The texture was so bizarre. Was prescribed 2L to drink, only managed 1.25L because I kept vomiting. Was okay, though, because it still cleared my bowel, ready for my colposcopy and endoscopy."

For Bowel Preparation "I'm currently struggling to drink this disgusting liquid, and I'm just ughhh. It tastes like a nasty lemonade with no sugar. With each sip that I take, I'm gagging and trying not to throw up. I am, however, feeling a bubbling sensation in my stomach, and I've only taken 10 sips."

For Bowel Preparation "Started the first dose at 3:30 pm. By 4:45 pm, I had 3/4 down but had to quit because I was gagging and almost throwing it up with each drink. It's 9:20 pm, and nothing has happened yet. I feel like I have to go, but nothing is happening, like I'm constipated. I'm worried because I know they will stop the procedure and make you come back if you aren't cleaned out. I have my second dose planned for 4 AM. Hopefully, it is working by then."

For Bowel Preparation "Horrible! The first 8 oz, okay, 2nd, okay. Got to the last 8 oz of the first liter, and I want to vomit! I am not one to throw up, but I am begging myself to keep it down. I am chilled. It's okay. Started at 5:45 and already watery stools at 7:26. I cannot fathom having to drink the next liter. Why can't I just take pills??? Tried hard candy-no, tried chilled-no, straw not helping! Look, I would rather be on a liquid diet for 3 days!"

For Bowel Preparation "I had this for the first time on the 26/11/17. What can I say? The amount you have to drink in the time scale is a lot. I chilled it and used a straw to manage the first liter, no problem. A bit gagging, it's not so much the taste but the consistency of it. The 2nd lot: well, I managed 1 glass, then the next glass I vomited it up. I started at 5 pm and was still pooping at 6 am (I got up at 2 am, 5 am, and 6 am, it was only the one movement each time). I went for a colonoscopy, I hoped I had prepped enough, and I had, thank goodness. I had no cramps or bloating with it."

For Bowel Preparation "I took my first liter of MoviPrep at around 8 pm tonight, and it took me almost two hours to get around 80% of it down. I keep gagging and feeling nauseous. The extremely salty taste hits you first, followed by an awful, sickly artificial lemon flavor. I’ve been chasing each sip with water to wash it away. First bowel movement came at around 10 pm, I’ve gone to the toilet twice since then and probably been sat there for about 10 minutes each time, so it’s not been horrendous. I just hope I can get some sleep. My colonoscopy is at 5 pm tomorrow, so I have to wake up at 6 am and take the second liter."

For Bowel Preparation "The taste is vile, even mixing it with squash did not help that. It took effect straight away, though, but I only managed a pint and a half before I was gagging non-stop. However, this could be because I did not drink the required amount of water between doses. Either way, they said it cleared me out enough for them to see, so it was not an issue. Kind of hoping the effects will stop soon, though, as I have been so many times yesterday and today, and I am still in a lot of pain with it."

For Bowel Preparation "I'm 25 and preparing for my first colonoscopy, not going to lie, I've heard horror stories about MoviPrep. So I came prepared with a sick bowl. I was told to drink the stuff in an hour, I don't even drink that much water in an hour. So I knew I was going to struggle. I've just finished my last glass, and it took me 1.5 hours to drink. The stuff doesn't taste bad, but I wouldn't exactly be jumping to try it again. It's manageable with sips of water in between. I'd say trust yourself, if you gag, take a small break. But honestly, the quicker you get it done, the less time you have to taste it. I've done my first liter, and before I even finished, I started to have my first movement. It's important to drink plenty of water because they really mean it when they say that the water involved in the MoviPrep doesn't count, because trust me, that's all going to come out again. Not as vile as I expected, and this is coming from someone who can be sick if they drink too much water at once."

For Bowel Preparation "Will never, ever, take this again. The doctor canceled my colonoscopy as MoviPrep didn't work well. I drank 4 liters of it (split into 2 doses) - tasted like thickened saltwater contaminated with lemon soap. Gagged so much but got 9/10ths of it down. Toilet trips after the first dose were loose. But after the 2nd dose, they were almost solid! Hence, the colonoscopy was aborted and I'll have to go through the process again (with a different lax!). Side effects - gagging, nausea, shivers, fatigue, weakness, poorly timed diarrhea (suffering now - 3 days later)."

For Bowel Preparation "It was horrible! I took it like it was prescribed and made it through 3/4 of the first bottle. I felt nauseous, so I relaxed in bed for a few, and then my legs stiffened and slowly started shaking uncontrollably! Then they would stop shaking suddenly. Then, 5-10 minutes later, they would start shaking again. I was terrified! This happened 6-7 times before my husband and I decided I needed to go to the ER. They continued on the way there and even at the hospital! It probably happened at least 15 times before they gave me Benadryl and IV fluids. Then, as I was leaving the ER, I started vomiting! There was no way I was going to finish the prep, and my appointment for testing was at 8:00 in the morning. I was on the toilet all night and nauseous. Luckily, I was cleaned out enough to go through with the test, but I will never use MoviPrep again! My legs are so sore and hard to walk on today, and it was so scary what I was going through!"

For Bowel Preparation "I had a horrible experience with this drug. For my previous colonoscopy, I had used Suprep with no issues - just one round completely prepped me, and I experienced no side effects. MoviPrep was an entirely different beast. The first round took three hours to even start working and lasted only thirty minutes. A couple of hours after finishing up the cleanse, I had horrible nausea. For three hours, I vomited every twenty minutes. I couldn't even keep water down. Unfortunately, this meant I was unable to complete my second prep, as every time I tried, I vomited it immediately. This was absolutely not due to the taste or disgust - though it does taste awful. Fortunately, my doctor was able to complete the procedure even with an incomplete prep. I will absolutely never use this prep again."

For Bowel Preparation "7 pm, my stomach didn't want to accept the volume, took several hours to get it down after fighting retching. Normal bowel movement at 11 pm. Nothing happened overnight except some discomfort. 6 am, next lot, within an hour immediate loss of bowel control, cleaned the carpet twice, the bathroom floor 4 times. Nearly passed out, finally vomiting the last glassful out while bowels continued to spew. It did come clean, but the inability to know when anything was going to happen or control it when it did was awful. If my husband hadn't been there to do cleaning duties, it would have been a much worse experience."

For Bowel Preparation "Absolutely ghastly. I had been warned by previous folk who had to take it - all 2 liters of it. I tried, my goodness, I tried so hard and managed the first liter, but when it came to the second, I could not get it down, every time I tried to swallow, I involuntarily retched. It's the worst stuff I have ever tasted, and I knew it was important to take pre-surgery, but I couldn't finish it, no matter how hard I tried. Thank goodness the first liter was sufficient to clean out my body. Never ever again."

For Bowel Preparation "Why is this preparation so sickly sweet? I can't even stand half a teaspoon of sugar in a cup of tea, so this was way too sweet for me and had me gagging. I really struggled to finish it and only did by getting up in the early hours to drink the last half liter. I can't believe this can be the only suitable product on the market after all this time."

For Bowel Preparation "The worst thing I have ever tasted in my life. It was so salty. I felt like I was drinking and pooping the Dead Sea. My lips hurt from the salt. My hands and feet are swelling from the salt. It took me hours to get through the first liter. I was drinking it while on the toilet, and it did make me gag and throw up. I cannot get over how bad it tastes. I still have the second batch to go. Pray for me."

For Bowel Preparation "Used as a prep for colonoscopy, it made me so sick I had to cancel the procedure. It tastes terrible and caused me to vomit, along with being way overpriced ($58.00)."
