Pimecrolimus topical "I started using Elidel about a month ago after being diagnosed with eczema on my face, arms, and shoulders, and after topical corticosteroid creams failed to work. Elidel cleared up my skin very nicely. This summer has been very hot and humid where I live, so my skin has had quite a few breakouts. As long as I used the Elidel at least twice a day, my eczema remains under control. The only side effect I have noticed is a warming sensation on my face, but I can live with that. Elidel is by far the best product I have used, and thankfully I have a drug plan where I work because it is expensive."

Pimecrolimus topical "Amazing. Have had seborrheic dermatitis on face, scalp, ears, chest, and butt crack for years. Used moderate-strength steroid for a week or two every month (not ideal on face and around eyes) to control it, but it kept flaring up a week or so after stopping. Had Elidel for 2 months, only used half a tube (7.5g approx), and symptoms settled with no side effects. Only need to use it one or two days a week to keep it under control without the need for any steroid!"

Pimecrolimus topical "Eczema on my hips for the past 23 plus years, and it was always manageable with different creams. But with all the TV commercials saying meds are out there for eczema, I decided to visit my dermatologist and ask for help so when I had a flare, I didn't have to use steroids. I tried Eucrisa, which was decent but messy (an expensive version of Vaseline). I asked for something else, and he offered Elidel. After two days, I was so itchy, but I managed to give it 7 days, and I just can't do it anymore. One week was too much, and my patches are redder and angrier... Elidel did NOTHING for my eczema, not a darn thing... no side effects, not better, just itchier and drier like I was using nothing! Had to go back to my regular reliable creams and occasional steroids."

Pimecrolimus topical "After daily use of topical steroids (was told I needed topical steroids by doctors to treat this milk protein-related rash as an infant) for 40 years, I started topical steroid withdrawal at the advice of my daughter, who covered it in med school. I used Elidel for a couple of years off and on, then stopped for several months. Recently, I tried using it again, and I've had severe swelling in my face, raised lymph nodes under my arms. I believe my skin is looking for the Elidel, however, this time using it, it hasn't been effective. Find your allergy/irritant and stay away from this demonic medication and topical steroids."

Pimecrolimus topical "Using it for the treatment of dermatitis around my mouth. It has only been about a week, but it appears to be clearing up. I have tried hydrocortisone, Aklief, Mupirocin, and Metrogel before to no avail. No reported side effects."

"Been using cream since I was about 8 years old after other creams failed to work, and I had to see a specialist. I am now 18 and still using Elidel. My eczema flares up with stress, and Elidel keeps it under control during these times, the rest of the time, I use a moisturizer. I still have outbreaks but have found other ways to cope to keep my eczema at a moderate level. When I first started the cream, it had a burning sensation, but I no longer experience this."

Pimecrolimus topical "I have suffered from eye eczema since 2016. It came on during a period where I was very depressed. I have tried everything OTC, costing hundreds. Emollients make the condition worse, especially paraffin-based. I was prescribed Elidel as nothing else has worked. I have a red rash, scaling, peeling raised rash, and discoloration. I tried Elidel around my eyes alone and noticed it does cause soreness. I have started to apply it with hydrocortisone ointment (not hydrocortisone cream, can make skin more sore, especially if it is already irritated), although this isn't ideal. I apply it twice a day and do not use anything else while treating eczema, including other moisturizers. Use Elidel alone once the rash and other symptoms clear, then proceed with moisturizers. Keep an eye to ensure it doesn't enter the eyes, as this will make it worse. Overall, it's fantastic and the only one that clears it up. Check all creams and soaps, etc. If you can go without the suspected products, you’ll notice a difference."

"Started using this, and within 3 days, I had all the symptoms that were described in the brochure about side effects. My wife also had all the same symptoms. It's been over a week, and I still feel like crap. I would think twice about using this product. At $106 per tube and feeling this bad is not worth it. It did nothing."

Pimecrolimus topical "Amazing! I had major breakouts around my lips, upper lip, eyelids, under my eyes, and all around my face. After using Elidel, within 4 days I’ve seen a HUGE improvement. With eczema, it comes and goes. Not this time, been using it for about a month now and I can say gladly I had no flare-ups, and my face is clear. Using the cream did make me feel a bit nauseous."
