For Atopic Dermatitis "I am horrified by this cream. I developed a rash on my face all around my eyes from a paint allergy, and the doctor gave me this cream. I used it once lightly, and an hour later, my entire face was burning, and my eyes were watering non-stop. I woke up the next day, and my eyes were all swollen and irritated. Rash symptoms were gone, but my face was now red and swollen. The day after, my eyes were still swollen, and I can see a red mark on my face that outlines where I had put the cream. I look worse than when I actually had the rash. I am horrified that this is a genuine normal side effect of this cream. Please be careful, I will never, ever touch this stuff again."

For Atopic Dermatitis "If you use Elidel to ward off flare-ups and keep them controlled until they go away (which they do), then back off on the application until you need it again, then this produces the best results. I would never apply this daily unless I had the rash. Once the rash is gone, I stop application until another flare-up."

For Eczema "I started using Elidel about a month ago after being diagnosed with eczema on my face, arms, and shoulders, and after topical corticosteroid creams failed to work. Elidel cleared up my skin very nicely. This summer has been very hot and humid where I live, so my skin has had quite a few breakouts. As long as I used the Elidel at least twice a day, my eczema remains under control. The only side effect I have noticed is a warming sensation on my face, but I can live with that. Elidel is by far the best product I have used, and thankfully I have a drug plan where I work because it is expensive."

For Eczema "Amazing. Have had seborrheic dermatitis on face, scalp, ears, chest, and butt crack for years. Used moderate-strength steroid for a week or two every month (not ideal on face and around eyes) to control it, but it kept flaring up a week or so after stopping. Had Elidel for 2 months, only used half a tube (7.5g approx), and symptoms settled with no side effects. Only need to use it one or two days a week to keep it under control without the need for any steroid!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "The physician was wary of keeping me on steroids on my face since the dermatitis and eczema were still coming back. She gave me Elidel, and it worked really well, things cleared up within a few days. Initial side effects were application burning and itching, but my skin got used to it, and I don't get that anymore. I kept on it for several weeks, and the dermatitis didn't return by itself. I still use it for any missed spots of eczema or dermatitis that flare up. It's safe to use on top of my Avar LS wash, so now lots of my dermatitis and eczema are under control with this combo. A personal positive side effect is that it inhibited hair growth on my upper lip where I used it."

For Perioral Dermatitis "Used it for 6 days, and it disappeared after a 4-month battle with perioral dermatitis. I’m gonna keep using the cream for another three days to ensure it doesn’t come back. This is the magic cream!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I had seborrheic dermatitis constantly for a number of years, however, coming across Elidel cream, we have been able to counteract the effects by using an autoimmune cream which will rectify the effects of dry, rashy skin."

For Eczema "Eczema on my hips for the past 23 plus years, and it was always manageable with different creams. But with all the TV commercials saying meds are out there for eczema, I decided to visit my dermatologist and ask for help so when I had a flare, I didn't have to use steroids. I tried Eucrisa, which was decent but messy (an expensive version of Vaseline). I asked for something else, and he offered Elidel. After two days, I was so itchy, but I managed to give it 7 days, and I just can't do it anymore. One week was too much, and my patches are redder and angrier... Elidel did NOTHING for my eczema, not a darn thing... no side effects, not better, just itchier and drier like I was using nothing! Had to go back to my regular reliable creams and occasional steroids."

For Perioral Dermatitis "Prescribed to me for seborrheic dermatitis on my nose, eyebrows, and eyelids. Elidel made the inflammation worse for me and migrated into my eyes, causing a lot of itchiness, irritation, and pain. Cost with discount card given to me by my doctor was $100 for a 60 mg tube."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Absolutely amazing. Daughter aged 12 has suffered with seborrheic dermatitis for about 3 years. I have tried literally every OTC cream available. Prescription topical steroids do work but only if used almost daily, which is not great on such young skin. Was prescribed Elidel by a private dermatologist and told it is slow to work. Day 2, and her skin had almost cleared entirely, giving her back her confidence immediately. Not even a week in, and applying twice a day, she now has clear skin and is so happy. I paid just over £30 on a private prescription, and it was worth every penny."

For Eczema "Using it for the treatment of dermatitis around my mouth. It has only been about a week, but it appears to be clearing up. I have tried hydrocortisone, Aklief, Mupirocin, and Metrogel before to no avail. No reported side effects."

For Eczema "After daily use of topical steroids (was told I needed topical steroids by doctors to treat this milk protein-related rash as an infant) for 40 years, I started topical steroid withdrawal at the advice of my daughter, who covered it in med school. I used Elidel for a couple of years off and on, then stopped for several months. Recently, I tried using it again, and I've had severe swelling in my face, raised lymph nodes under my arms. I believe my skin is looking for the Elidel, however, this time using it, it hasn't been effective. Find your allergy/irritant and stay away from this demonic medication and topical steroids."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I suffered with itchy, red, flaking skin around my eyelids for years. I had always just used a moisturizer and cortisone to try and keep it in check. I was prescribed Elidel recently, and it works great. Initially, I could not stand the side effects: hot, burning, itching sensation after applying a small amount. I would also get a stuffy nose after use. Going into the shower seemed to aggravate the side effects even more, with a really hot feeling on my eyelids. HOWEVER, after just a couple days' usage, my eyelids cleared up. Now, I only need to use it for flare-ups. Also, the side effects don’t seem as bad now in subsequent uses… maybe the body adjusts to the med. Very happy with the results of this med."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was prescribed this medicine by my doctor. After a year of taking this, it caused my hands to be disfigured, discolored, burning, itchy, bleeding, scaly, autoimmune issues, split, cracked, oozing, edema, numbness, tingling, red, patchy, asthma, respiratory issues, tiredness, extreme exhaustion, infections, headaches, and large golf ball-sized lymph nodes. I'm seeking a lawyer because I'm disabled from this sham of a medication! It is very dangerous, and y'all better stop taking it!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Dermatologist prescribed Elidel for facial itching, burning, redness plus swelling, dryness, cold sore, especially serious scaling around the mouth & on lips. I have had all kinds of skin cancer on my face, legs & chest, plus a melanoma on my thigh. When I read the side effects on your site & others, I chose not to use Elidel. It was too risky for me. I am an 81-yr-young female. Due to the extreme burning of most of my face, I rubbed it with ice cubes, which gave me awesome relief, enabled me to sleep without itching & scratching. Outbreak cleared up within 2 weeks."

For Eczema "I have suffered from eye eczema since 2016. It came on during a period where I was very depressed. I have tried everything OTC, costing hundreds. Emollients make the condition worse, especially paraffin-based. I was prescribed Elidel as nothing else has worked. I have a red rash, scaling, peeling raised rash, and discoloration. I tried Elidel around my eyes alone and noticed it does cause soreness. I have started to apply it with hydrocortisone ointment (not hydrocortisone cream, can make skin more sore, especially if it is already irritated), although this isn't ideal. I apply it twice a day and do not use anything else while treating eczema, including other moisturizers. Use Elidel alone once the rash and other symptoms clear, then proceed with moisturizers. Keep an eye to ensure it doesn't enter the eyes, as this will make it worse. Overall, it's fantastic and the only one that clears it up. Check all creams and soaps, etc. If you can go without the suspected products, you’ll notice a difference."

For Eczema "Amazing! I had major breakouts around my lips, upper lip, eyelids, under my eyes, and all around my face. After using Elidel, within 4 days I’ve seen a HUGE improvement. With eczema, it comes and goes. Not this time, been using it for about a month now and I can say gladly I had no flare-ups, and my face is clear. Using the cream did make me feel a bit nauseous."

For Perioral Dermatitis "Elidel definitely helps for perioral dermatitis. If I use it twice a day, it will usually fully clear the rash within 8-10 days or so. However, there is a random side effect that I experienced - I got super bloated - it was so uncomfortable! This happened both times I used it, so I know it was not anything else. Once I stopped using the cream, the bloating reduced in 24 hours."

For Perioral Dermatitis "It seemed to be working and reduced the redness and bumps of POD in a couple of days. I was having extremely congested ears and noticed that is a side effect of this drug. I discontinued use of it and it went away. I tried using it again and the same thing happened - ear congestion. I guess I can’t use it because of side effects."

"I have super sensitive skin and a history of rosacea. Since COVID and having to wear a mask, my skin has been angrier than ever. I get bumps around my lower face. Went to the derm, and she said to try Elidel. The first time I used it, it burned like crazy, so she told me to put it in the fridge...that didn't help. It continued to burn, and then on about day 6, I started noticing I was getting way more bumps and redness. Used it for a few more days thinking maybe it would eventually help before I realized the Elidel was actually causing the reaction. Within a few more days, my face was red, covered in bumps, swollen, burning, itching...it was agony. And it kept spreading to all parts of my face (because I would put the Elidel on the lower part of my face in the morning, then apply sunblock so it spread). I ended up having to take prednisone for 4 weeks. I don't know what I am allergic to in that stuff, but never touching it again."

For Perioral Dermatitis "I had sore and dry skin around the mouth, it had a stinging/burning feeling for 1.5 weeks and was painful to even drink or open my mouth. I learned it’s perioral dermatitis, and the doctor recommended Elidel. My skin improved, and the dryness was gone on the 3rd day of application."

"I developed a rash on my eyelids from discoid lupus. Raw, cracked, flaking skin. I heard about a non-steroid cream and asked my dermatologist to give me some samples. It is working. I’m so thankful. Xo."
