Opana (oxymorphone) "Before Opana, I was taking 100mg Morphine 3x daily for my lower back pain from a bulging disc at L5-S1. The pain relief from the Opana is better than any other pain medication that I have tried. "

Opana (oxymorphone) "The doctor's instructions were to take 1-2-or 3 tablets at bedtime for cervical pain. I tried 3 on 3 different evenings and, unfortunately, had absolutely no pain relief. I also tried for pain in hip and thigh with no results. (I do have a very high pain threshold and, consequentially, need strong pain meds). Haven't yet found drug for pain relief at night."

Opana (oxymorphone) "Opana has worked better than anything I have been prescribed. I have several bulging discs, 4 in the lower back and 4 mid back. I was taking 3000 milligrams of Vicodin daily, 8 to 10 x 325 mg tabs. Now, I take 2, 20 milligram Opana daily, and only 2 or 3 Vicodin as needed. Be sure to take Opana on an empty stomach, and don't eat for about 2 hours. Opana is incredible, my next Doctor's visit, I will request a slightly higher dose, and quit the Vicodin all together. Thank you Opana!"

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I started this med after 8 yrs of methadone for chronic widespread pain. Was originally started out with a very low dose of 10mg 2X daily and it didn't seem to help at all. Was raised to 40 mg and for some strange reason after not feeling as though it was helping and going to 3X a day I was given the name brand instead of the genetic and within 24 hrs I noticed a measurable difference. Now my insurance won't pay for the name brand and although in the same dose, 40 mg 3X daily I feel like I've been given a placebo. The name brand works wonderfully as long as I take an instant release med with it but if I don't it is not effective enough to let me sleep without tossing and turning. I am taking a total of 120 mg per day."

Opana (oxymorphone) "I have Lupus, arthritis and had most of my back crushed in a auto accident. Opana is the ONLY pain medication that has relieved a majority of my pain throughout the day. I take 40mg every 8 hours and I am able to walk around and do things I couldn't do before when I was on the patches and all the other drugs I tried. Opana is the best long term medication that keeps working without fail for me."

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I've had one back surgery so far, a L5 S1 fusion which didn't work and I'm in alot of pain. I have tried many other pain medications, narcotic and non-narcotic to try to manage my pain, along with acupuncture and physical therapy. Finally my doctor gave me Opana (extended and immediate release) and I get such wonderful much needed pain relief from them. I still get some breakthrough pain but these work so much better than anything else I have tried, including oxycontin, and I'm so thrilled."

Opana (oxymorphone) "Been on fentanyl patches for 3+ years now. Wear 2 50mcg patches. Recently started on Opana er 20mg twice a day and only wearing 1 patch changed every 48 hours. Pain level has gone up slightly but also side effects from the patch have decreased which to me for now is a acceptable trade off. Breakthrough pain occurs sooner, but have not tried the higher dosage yet. Have somewhat raised expectations to come off patches by end of the year."

Opana (oxymorphone) "3 back surgeries, 35 days since latest fusion in lower back. Been on pain meds for years, mainly Percocet 10mg which seemed to be the only thing that helped. Even when given stronger meds. I guess my body is so used to them now they stopped really working unless I took 2 at a time. My surgeon suggested opana for me this past week, it's been only 4 days but it doesn't seem to work AT ALL. It does nothing for the pain. I have the 10mg IR. I'm a very active 45 year old who loves to fly fish, camping, hiking. Basketball, softball, long hikes with my dogs but I can't do anything anymore. The latest surgery they had to go through my stomach and I just want some relief so I can start being active again... Miserable.."

"Oxymorphone ER and IR's are the most effective pain reliever for my Severe, 24/7 CRPS pain My CRPS pain drops to 3-4 from 9 after a morning dose of 30mg. Quick acting, 15-20 minutes and common opioid side effects are much fewer than OC/MS/HC/Fentanyl/ et.al. Take as Dr.orders! Fewer if possible. Tolerance grows rapidly. In pain management for the past eight years, have tried all except Tramadol and Nycenta. No other pain medicine comes close. Downside warning: Do not run out early! Ever. I feel better and am able to acheive basic tasks, functionality returns with relief. Do not overdo activity when medicated; you will pay a price in delayed pain. Amazing medication, not cheap, but far more effective than ANY other opioid. ER/IR dose ranges of 80-120 mg daily cover the worst severe pain. Not for mild or moderate pain even though rx info.says moderate to severe. Do not share, ever! Do not discuss unless asked by a trusted fellow chronic pain sufferer. Keep locked in safe!"

"Best pain medication!!! I have been prescribed everything from Percocet 5 mg to Dilaudid 8mg including oxycodone 30 mg to morphine 60 mg and when I was prescribed oxymorphone 10 mg it knocked all of the other medications out of the water with relieving the pain and last the longest, it is a life-saving painkiller I am now prescribed 10 mg IR four times a day and live a pain-free life because of that!!"

Opana (oxymorphone) "My Dr had put me on opana 60 mg twice daily Along with oxymorphone 10mg for breakthrough pain. This did work beautiful. Unfortunately, my insurance changed, and I was put on oxycontin ER and oxycodone. This combo never worked as well the prior medication regime I was on. Even when I increased the amount I was taking on my own, it never fully Took the pain away. He decided after a year or so, to put me on levorphanol and oxycodone for breakthrough pain. The levorphanol works ALOT better than the oxycontin still. Levorphanol must be sent through the mail to PA, as it's not carried in this state and MOST pharmacist have never heard of it. It's called the forgotten opioid. Opana Works great for TRUE spinal cord Pain. No high.. Great relief!"

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I was prescribed OxyContin 30 mg 4 X daily and eventually it didn't work so well as when I first started taking it. I took my left over OxyContin pills to my physician who then prescribed me 40 mg Opana ER (yellow octagonal shape). It works so much better than OxyContin and the pain relief lasts longer. There is no "high" associated with Opana ER. I have several painful medical conditions after being injured at work and some years later was involved in a near fatal car wreck. Opana ER is a wonderful medication. The only drawback is that is does take about an hour to start working well. The pain relief lasts about 8 hours. I highly recommend speaking to your physician about Opana ER if continuous pain relief is needed."

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I was in an accident. Doctors words...I had to learn how too do everything again walk, talk, stand, brush teeth etc. Oxycodone and Oxycontin neather worked much. I was switched to Opana ER. What a difference this made. Pain was reduced by 50% more than the Oxycontin and almost no mental decrease. This was my biggest issue and now solved with Opana ER. Thank you Opana ER."

Opana (oxymorphone) "I am a chronic pain patient and have tried dozens of medications for my pain. Opana works wonders through an IV when I'm in excruciating pain, but the oral pills just don't help as much. My pain doctor switched me from Oxycodone 4 times a day to Opana 3 times a day and it didn't touch my pain. I did some research and it only absorbs 10% orally. It's good as an IV or injection medication but not as much as an oral pill"

Opana (oxymorphone) "Too strong for me. If taking Opana 30's for the first time, I suggest starting off with smaller doses then increase gradually. Took one the other night, nausea set in and I vomited. Great loss in appetite, like on Adderall minor drowsiness."

Opana (oxymorphone) "I started opana about 5 months ago, the withdrawls make you feel like you have the stomach bug and flu at the same time. Night sweats every bone feels broken, stomach cramping, strange negitive thoughts that arent real. This medication didnt help at all with my disc heritage, gout, broken foot, sore tooth..first night i wondered if i would make it thru the night. I was on 40mg twice a day 12 hour ER. I wouldnt suggest this medication to anyone. Its hard to require medication assistance just to move, but its even.worse being on a medicaton that didnt help and caused the worst withdrawls of my life. It took 9 days to feel better! Good luck"

Opana (oxymorphone) "I was taking the 60mg OP's for a little over a year, (I was on the regular oxycodone before the change)--they were making me extremely nauseous, at times violent vomiting and dry heaving. It started with the nausea immediately and then it seemed like every 3 months I would have a bout of nausea, vomiting and dry heaving that would last for days. I was in the hospital 4 times this past year. I am taking Opana now. I have been on it almost a month and guess what?!! No more of the daily nausea and worse again. Doing well on Opana. Wish I could have gotten it sooner. My insurance would not pay for it at first, but now they do! Good Luck Everyone."

Opana (oxymorphone) "I have been on Opana IR for 4 months now. I have severe migraines due to a cyst on my brain along with 2 bulging discs in my neck. It works ok but I also have stadol nose spray if the Opana doesn't help. I'm on 5mg 2x a day. I honestly need stronger but since it's migraines he won't up it. I would recommend it for small pain."

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "After failed back fusion surgery L4 L5 S1 nothing would touch the pain until Opana ER. I was taking 20 mg three times daily and have cut back to 5 mg 3 times daily with significant pain increase because I thought I was losing my mind. I seem to have built up a tolerance and either need to increase again dramatically or find something else. Have heard that you can easily build tolerance to Opana. I am your proof. "

Opana (oxymorphone) "I have found Opana ER to be a lifesaver for me in that though the pain is not gone, but at least it is tolerable. What works for me presently is a 30 mg. dose 3x day along with Neurontin. Taking the Opana 3x day takes care of it possibly wearing off earlier than it should by giving me the medicinal coverage and avoiding the need for breakthrough medications. I intially was taking 40 mg. 2x day with the Neurontin and between my doctor, pharmacist and me, this protocol works much better and Medicare will cover it. It was a long, difficult journey to get to this point of reasonable comfort which is governed by activity levels and the weather. I do not cry so much any more from the pain levels I have from a myriad of medical disabilities."

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I crashed a motorcycle almost ten years ago at 80 mph. I am lucky to be alive and walking. I have tons back problems now though. The doctors fed me high doses of every narco out there. I became addicted to the feeling of being painfree, no matter how many pills I had to take. Life got unmanagable and I was tired of it. After ten years of this I decided to start from scratch and clean up and get re-evaluated and try a different path. I was put on suboxone 8mg for about 8 months to treat the addiction. After that I had no desire to put a pill in my mouth. SUBOXONE WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE. Just taking Opana ER 30mg twice a day now."

Opana ER (oxymorphone) "I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is the "most painful condition known to man", and Opana ER is the first medication that has ever actually helped with this type pain. It has worked better for me than any other pain medicine and it lasts FAR longer than any other extended release medications I've tried. Because this works better for me, I am able to take less/lower dose than other medicines- which means I can function at a much higher rate. Many patients with this condition do not take (narcotic) pain medication because Trigeminal Neuralgia does not usually respond well to them. However, for me, this is the 1st and only medicine that has actually helped with my level of pain and it has allowed me to have a much higher quality of life!"

Opana (oxymorphone) "Love it! Nothing better, works wonders for chronic migraines and arthritis plus it gets me back on my feet as if I was a teen again. Gives me the little boost needed to get me through my day with limited side effects. I would recommend doctors prescribe this medicine over any other narcotic pain killers. This pill has really saved my life. It's truly amazing."

Opana (oxymorphone) "Been on Opana now for roughly 1.5 years. Stool movement is difficult and most of the time you feel bloated. With that being said, pain is not problem with current medication. 2x 20mg ER (Morning, Night) with 4 x 10mg IR for break through pain. I have L5 S1 area problems. Sweats are also difficult at times in heat. "
