OnabotulinumtoxinA for Urinary Frequency "Well, I must be like one in a million who suffered extreme pain when they were injecting the Botox. I was literally screaming in pain, it was like I was being injected with acid. Absolutely awful, it didn't help much with the incontinence either."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Migraine "I'm on my third set of shots, and I'm experiencing a few problems, and I don't know if these are severe and should I be worried. On my left side, my scalp is a little raw. I have a huge knot behind my ear. I'm getting more knots in my head. I'm nauseated, dizzy, have diarrhea. I can't sleep, I can't brush my hair. My left side hurts. This is the worst headache I have had yet. My neck hurts, my left side is numb, the left side of my face is swollen, my eye is swollen also, only the left side. I get my next round of shots in March, it will be my fourth set of shots. I haven't had side effects like this before. Can anybody help me?"

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Cervical Dystonia "I have cervical dystonia from a spinal cord compression from a fall 3 years ago. I had an amazing pain management doctor to help me with my diagnosis and began Botox as soon as my insurance approved it. I switched to Xeomin (not much better) when it comes to post-injection side effects. The injections themselves do not hurt, but 3 days after the injections, the spasms, swelling, and pain are unbearable for about 2 weeks. They do help in the long run, but the frequency can cause 'injection fatigue' for those of us who don't tolerate the toxin."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Cervical Dystonia "I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia in 2001. Unable to get any help from the NHS, I had my first experience of Botox from a private neurologist at £200 a shot. Luckily, he also had an NHS clinic which he transferred me to. I started with injections to both sides of my neck, but after a few years, the muscles on my right side became very weak, so I now only have one injection on the left side of 400 units. This works really well, and apart from some pain and stiffness at times, which I control with diazepam, I am able to live a normal life, for which I am very grateful."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Cervical Dystonia "Had my initial series of injections, which worked extremely well, no more head twisting. That place stopped taking my insurance, but I found another doctor that would continue the procedure. Injections every three months. Worked very well until my third series of injections. I have been told the muscles in the back of my neck have become too weak, and the muscles in the front of my neck are pulling my head forward. I cannot stand straight up and tilt my head up. Very discomforting and at times very painful. It's like this intense pressure in the back of my neck and shoulders. It hurts to look up. Also, I have this weird sensation when I try to eat, I need to lean forward, and when I try to bring food to my mouth, I have difficulty opening my jaw fully. I have received injections in my front neck muscles to counteract the weakness in the rear muscles. Would like to know if anyone else has had similar problems. Now the cure is worse than the disease."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Migraine Prevention "Even after getting Botox 200 units, 2 months ago, I suffered a lot of pain in my head, especially temples, wherever I got injected. In the first month, it was severe, then it became mild. But to date, I am getting migraine attacks weekly. The doctor gave me medicine for 2 months to get prevention from these attacks after the Botox treatment, and as the study says, Botox's effect lasts till 6 months, out of which 2 months still we have to take medicine, then what's the benefit of Botox?"

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Cervical Dystonia "Just received my first Botox treatment for neck pain 2 days ago. I'm now in worse pain than before. I can't bend my head down and can barely turn it. I'm feeling incredibly discouraged. This was my last hope...now I'm worse. Does the initial pain wear off?"

For Cervical Dystonia "I was diagnosed with movement disorder/cervical dystonia this year. I was rear-ended while parked with no seatbelt on. My body flew right on top of the steering wheel. Botox helps me so much, but only in a small area. I have to get 4 injections in my neck and trapezius area. The injections are very painful! My doctor put the needle in 3 muscle groups during 1 injection to lower the injection amount. The Botox doesn't last long, less than 3 months of relief. I still have to take muscle relaxers, which only help for a short amount of time. The Botox helps my head not to get stuck. My head first became stuck with my head tilted backward and tilted left towards my shoulder. My trapezius area first went into spasms, which caused my waist to twist like a pretzel. I get injections every 3 months."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Hyperhidrosis "I just got the Botox done on my armpits as well as my palms. The hands hurt a lot more than the armpits, but I'm not seeing a difference. The sweat is still there, and I still have to be cautious of the material I wear as well as the color. Also, I am still feeling a lot of pain in my hands and have muscle weakness."

OnabotulinumtoxinA for Cervical Dystonia "I received my first Botox injections 4 weeks ago for my torticollis. I was in pain a few days after, but it got better. It was about 85% better, and then the last few days my neck has been twitching much worse. Especially during the day, which wasn't a problem to begin with. It was the nights where it drove me crazy. Is this common? I only received 200 mg. My doctor said 300 mg was the norm. I am so frustrated! I have sent messages to my nurse, and she will get back to me. Is this common?"
