Naratriptan for Migraine "Overall, I found this medication relieved 80% of my migraines with just one dose, however, it was expensive, it made me very drowsy, and gave me nasal/sinus congestion. Still, worth every penny and side effect when suffering from a migraine. Thank God I no longer need to take it because my migraines have been cured completely by taking the natural antioxidant “CoEnzyme Q10” 60 mg twice a day and “Magnesium Citrate” 150 mg twice a day. I take them at the same time, once at breakfast and once at supper time. It has given me my life back, and I no longer have to ride the migraine roller coaster! I felt a duty to share my experience in finding a long-term/healthful option that is preventing migraines and also preventing the chronic nagging tension headache that was just part of my normal everyday life. I hope others will benefit as I have, and I trust you will be well!"

Naratriptan for Migraine "Five years ago, I got Amerge after trying almost every other medication available. My migraines tend to come back within 4-6 hours with Imitrex, but the Amerge would keep it gone. Unfortunately, I had a really hard time getting my insurance to cover it. Another good thing about the Amerge is that it didn't seem to have the photophobia effect after I took it. Also wouldn't knock me out or make me feel groggy. It was like taking a vitamin, and then my life could just go on as planned! I really hope that insurance companies get better at covering effective medications for their patients. I also wish I could just afford the $200 or whatever for 9 pills."

For Migraine "By far the best migraine medication I have ever taken, and I have tried them all with little success and major side effects. With Amerge (Naratriptan), the only side effects I experience are a little sleepiness and sometimes a bout with minor depression, but it's much better than the migraine. I try to take it when the symptoms first begin, and it will totally knock it out. If I take it once the migraine starts, it will still work by easing the pain and sometimes knock it out. I am able to fully function throughout the day. I highly recommend this drug."

For Migraine "It works! Felt like a cooling sensation in my head/face. Made me drowsy, so I jumped into bed and slept for a couple of hours. Woke up with some small migraine pain, but overall reduced pain from a 10 to a 1. Didn't have the chest tightening side effect that I had with sumatriptan."

For Migraine "I have been prescribed almost everything available to help migraine attacks except for Botox. Since being on naratriptan, I have my life back. From having an attack last 5-7 days to almost immediate relief, one day groggy I'm so happy. Just doesn't put me to sleep. Best product ever. Average price in Australia about $40 for 4 tablets."

For Migraine "First time using prescribed medication for my migraines. Migraines became a new issue after I turned 35. Chalk it up to hormonal change. Anyway, the doctor prescribed it, tried it for the first time yesterday. Took it around 6:00 pm, laid down because the migraine was already in effect... but I was pretty much out for the count, which I didn't expect. Slept until 7:30 am this morning. Happy the migraine is gone, but I have a trial on Monday and really could not afford to lose my day yesterday. I mean, having a migraine would also take me out of my routine... was hoping for medication that allowed me to go on with my life and just take care of the migraine. The result is not really what I'm looking for. Plus, I'm feeling groggy this morning."
