For Vertigo "I have had 2 episodes of vertigo that were 9 months apart. The 2nd was worse than the first, in that it had vomiting accompanied with the vertigo. I must say, though, that in both times, meclizine helped to relieve my symptoms. I hope this is the last time I experience vertigo. I do not find that it makes me unable to function."

For Vertigo "I have experienced vertigo off and on for two years. Twice, the vertigo was so bad I could not stand or sit on my own, and I had dry heaves. Meclizine worked very well for me, and I experienced minimal side effects. It does not make me so drowsy that I can't work, so that's a plus."

For Vertigo "I used to have occasional bouts of severe vertigo. Started taking 12.5 mg of meclizine each night at bedtime and have had NO episodes in years. Vertigo is the sickest I have ever been. Disorientation, nausea, vomiting, crossed eyes, the whole gamut. I can't function without meclizine. It gets a 10 from me."

For Vertigo "I have had 2 cases of vertigo, and both times, I ended up in the ER. I was given Meclizine, and it takes about an hour to work, meanwhile, I am unable to stand up and vomiting at the same time. I had one case of vertigo at work at 2 a.m. and had to be dropped off at the ER. Meclizine does work, but it's too slow to take effect. I can't lose many more nights at work, or I'll be fired. I need something that works faster."

Meclizine for Motion Sickness "I hadn't been on a plane in 6 years, and I had 2 back-to-back flights in which I was extremely sick and threw up. I took 2 Bonine for the flight back home, and I felt absolutely no motion sickness!!! I'm so thankful I got Bonine, now I don't dread airplanes anymore!"

For Vertigo "I have had several extreme bouts of vertigo over the past couple of years, followed predictably by nausea and vomiting. After about 3 hours, I can get up, but for the next 24-36 hours, I just want to rest or sleep, as it takes all the starch out of me. This last time, I have been given a diagnosis of Meniere's disease. The last vertigo attack happened in a public place and resulted in a trip to the ER. They gave me Meclizine, and I think it was helpful in the aftermath as I felt like my balance was off for a couple of days. If I feel another attack coming (they are hard to foretell), I may try the 3x daily 25 mg to head it off. I asked my doctor if I should stay on it, but he said no...not sure why?"

For Vertigo "I had vertigo so bad I had to crawl on hands and knees to the bathroom. Went on lower dose of meclizine, then moved up to 25 mg. Room was visually spinning in a circle. Vomiting was horrific. ER doctor put me on 4 mg of methylprednisolone for 6 days and 8 mg of ondansetron for vomiting. Meclizine helped with vertigo. Ears clear. MRI of head showed nothing. Did get a new hearing aid which I never had before. All started November 28."

For Motion Sickness "I have tried meclizine as a prophylactic for motion sickness while fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, with mixed results. The first time out was a complete failure, with severe nausea and vomiting accompanied by diarrhea. The second time was a little better, no diarrhea and limited vomiting, but quite acute nausea. Won't use it again for this purpose, probably won't go out on the Gulf anytime soon either. No noticeable side effects with either event."

For Motion Sickness "I took a couple of Meclizine hydrochloride a good few hours before a boat trip in Gran Canaria, however, after no less than 30 minutes on the trip, I came over feeling really rough. To cut the story short, I faced a miserable 3 hours on the boat and threw up countless times. Worst antiemetic I've ever used, and certainly won't use it again."

Meclizine for Nausea/Vomiting "I had nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to withdrawals from medicines. Taking Bonine has helped me get through the day."
