For Emergency Contraception "It worked for me! Keep in mind that I’m not on birth control (but will be getting on it ASAP after this). On Dec 20th around midnight, I had sex with my boyfriend, and afterwards we found out that the condom broke. He pulled out for the most part, but he said he didn’t pull out immediately. We went to a 24-hour pharmacy, and I took a Plan B 30 minutes after the fact. I did so much research, which only made me worry more, and according to a period tracker app, I was dangerously close to ovulation, which made me worry even more. The only side effects that I experienced were a slight headache and lower back pain for the first few days after. On Dec 25th, I started my period (about 10 days early, it really was a Christmas miracle), and so far so good! My flow is slightly heavier than normal, but I’m not cramping or anything. Best of luck if you’re reading this and worrying!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had protected sex with my boyfriend at around 3 a.m., and the condom broke, but we didn't realize until after he had finished in me. At 12 p.m. the next day, I took Plan B. The symptoms I had were breast tenderness, dizziness, headache, cramps, and fatigue. I got my period as supposed to a week later from taking the pill. After that, my period arrived on the day it was supposed to, and everything was fine! Do not freak out if this happens or if you have a scare! Plan B really works, and you can rely on it! I remember how terrified I was and how all I wanted was someone to tell me there's nothing to worry about, so trust me, do not worry about anything until you know for sure whether you are pregnant or not."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm 16, and on the 6th of July, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. The next day, within 24 hours, I went to CVS and bought it. I had to wait 3 weeks until my next period, and it came on time! I didn't have any side effects except a headache. This really works!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ok, girls, if you're reading this, it's because you are scared because you think you're pregnant and don't understand Plan B. I sadly am 15 and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I am on birth control, but being stupid, I was still scared even though he didn't cum inside of me, so I took Plan B anyway. The week after I had sex again unprotected, but this time he cummed inside, and that scared me, so even though I am on birth control, I took Plan B about 30 hours later. I have had awful side effects: dizziness, being nauseous, and headaches have been killing me for about a week now. I was supposed to get my period last night during the night, and I didn't, so I started getting really scared, but tonight I finally got it, and it was a big relief!!! Plan B works, don't worry!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "So I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on June 3rd. I checked my period tracker and saw I was ovulating that night. I took Plan B about 50 hours afterward. It says it works up to 120 hours after unprotected sex. I got tender breasts, headaches, acne, and nausea right after taking it. I got really emotional, and I kept all of these symptoms until I got my period, and I got it on time (June 20th). But since then, I have not had a period. I am bloated and have had lower back pains. My next period was due on July 20th but never came. I took two pregnancy tests. Both negative. I have seen a lot about how Plan B resets your cycle and can mess you up. Just breathe, guys. Negative tests are a good sign! Keep your head up, girls, that's what I'm doing!"

For Emergency Contraception "TRUST. THE. PILL. The last time I was sexually active was May 3rd. I had taken Plan B about 1 hour after the deed. I had also taken Plan B twice before May 3rd, once on April 23rd and then on April 26th. I missed the whole month of May for my period, and then the whole month of June. About 11 days after taking the Plan B for the last time on the 3rd, I had started spotting. I thought it was implantation bleeding, and I started freaking out. I had tender breasts, a stronger sense of smell, nausea, and headaches. I had fully convinced myself I was prego. I had taken so many pregnancy tests my boyfriend had bought for me, and he was totally calm about it. The last pregnancy test I took was on July 1st, the same day I had started my period. Stressing will only make it later. Don’t stress!!!! Good luck, ladies"

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself that I would write one of these if the pill worked because I was just like you. I would sit in class at school and read these all day, every day. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on April 26th (the last day of my period). He said he didn't finish in me, but me being me, I didn't believe him because I am the most paranoid person ever, and we are way too young to be having a child. So on April 27th, I took a Plan B pill. About a week later, I had huge headaches and light bleeding for three days. And today, May 27th, I finally got my period!! (6 days late). It will come. Just relax and breathe. Let the pill do its job :)"

For Emergency Contraception "So I ended my period 03/17 and had unprotected sex the next day (03/18), and my boyfriend came inside me, so less than an hour later we went and got the pill. After taking the pill, I did experience some of the side effects: I was having bad headaches, fatigue, light-headedness, bladder problems, spotting, and bleeding a little. I was convinced I was pregnant because my period was also late, and I had spotting on my underwear instead of getting my period, and I knew that was a sign I was pregnant. But there was no way because I had all these side effects, and I took the pill as soon as possible. But I kept being paranoid about it. A week later, I got my period, and I've never been so happy to be on it. So ladies, don't worry, just wait, and be safe next time."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I were having sex, and the condom broke, we didn't know it broke until we were done. I, in return, started freaking out and ran to CVS to get Plan B. I took it an hour after the unprotected sex (August 31). The next few days, I started having minor back pains, lower abdomen cramps, headaches, and intense mood swings. But surely, five days later, I woke up to my period, two weeks early, in fact. Plan B works wonders, now I'm on the path to getting birth control. I'm only 16, so it truly saved my life."

For Emergency Contraception "(UK babe here) I use natural cycles to track my BBT. I took Levonelle the night of my predicted ovulation. (It’s free in Boots if you’re under 24). I was scared as anything. I didn’t get any normal PMS until 2 days before my period was due. I have headaches on and off, and once PMS symptoms started, I was dizzy as anything! My period started 1 day late and was a tad lighter than usual. God is good!! Delayed but not denied, lmao! Take a deep breath, girls, and get off Google!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B after an unexpected, unprotected sexual situation. After the fact, I realized it was right around my fertile time. I went right to the store and purchased Plan B. I took it about an hour after sex. I am usually very sensitive to the hormones in oral contraceptives (that's why I don't take them), and I was very worried about the side effects. I was surprised, I had no side effects at all. I was concerned because I thought maybe it wasn't working because I had no cramping, headache, nausea, etc., like the package said could happen. I calculated the day that I should get my next period and waited. I was sweating it the entire time! I ended up getting my period about 2 days earlier than expected... fine with me!!"

For Emergency Contraception "October 25 when my girlfriend and I had sex, the condom broke, and I finished in there (although it was our second round of having sex, so I didn't cum as much). She took the pill 30 minutes after unprotected sex. Her ovulation day was October 28 or 29, so we were scared. She is 18 years old, and this is her first time taking emergency contraception. After a couple of minutes passed from her taking it, she felt cramps and headaches. One week after, every type of pregnancy symptom, and what got me really stressed was that she started spotting a brownish color 9 days after unprotected sex, which can be implantation spotting, and wow, I prayed because it was almost certain she was pregnant. On November 6, she got her period, a week earlier. We got so excited and cried. This pill works. Good luck to everyone else, but don't rely on this pill as your form of protected sex, it isn't worth suffering the pain. Heck, we aren't even thinking of having sex in maybe a couple of weeks XD That's how scared we were."

For Emergency Contraception "My story is the same as most of yours; broken condom. This is my second time taking the pill, and I feel like the second time around I had a really adverse reaction. I have the most awful stomach pain, headaches, diarrhea (eww), dizziness, breast tenderness, fatigue... Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I got the wrong end of the stick this time, I guess. The symptoms are making me nervous, but reading all the positive comments on here makes me feel better!"

For Emergency Contraception "Pregnancy symptoms are normal! Okay, so on 11/6/21, I had a condom break. The next morning, I took Plan B. No symptoms. On 11/14, I had sex for a short amount of time, no ejaculation, but I still worry about pre-cum. I never took Plan B that time because I didn’t want to take 2 of them so close together. Four days later, I had my period. Then, on 11/24, ANOTHER condom broke, so I had no choice but to take Plan B the next morning. I took it within the first 12 hours. By 11/28, I started bleeding brown. This happened for a week straight. A drop or two for the first 2 days, then 3 days of pretty light bleeding, then back to a drop here and there for the remainder of the week. I also experienced gnarly headaches, SEVERE breast pain, nausea/vomiting, cramping, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. It’s now been a little over 2 weeks and I got my period 3 days early. I also went to the doctor this week and got a blood test, and it came back negative. Please don’t panic if you have pregnancy symptoms. This pill is a huge dose of hormones and mimics pregnancy symptoms. (Nursing student here, just learned all about this pill). Stay off Google! It’ll have you thinking you’re pregnant soooo fast."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on 7/19, approximately 4 days after ovulating, which ended in the guy ejaculating deep inside me. I'm not on birth control, so we freaked out, and I took Plan B 12 hrs later. I felt extremely bloated, got headaches and strange pangs in my abdomen, and dealt with thick white discharge and anxiety about my situation for two weeks, as the side effects do make you feel pregnant. My period was due 7/31, the day I'm writing this, and it came right on time!! Wasn't sure about the effectiveness of the pill after ovulation, but the heaviness of my flow and the accompanying cramps are making me confident I'm in the clear!"

For Emergency Contraception "My experience for fellow readers. I had my period a week before I had unprotected sex. The same day as the 'accident' happened, I took Plan B about 2 hours after unprotected sex. I had no symptoms except a headache once in a while. My period came 3 days before it was supposed to. It worked!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on January 13th, about 8 days before ovulation and 2 days before my fertile window. My January period had ended on the 8th. My period has always been regular, so I know my cycle. Even so, I decided to take Plan B, just in case. On January 14th, maybe 9-10 hours after. Please remember that you are overloading your body with hormones, so it is normal to have some side effects. I started heavily bleeding on January 18th for about 7 days, with blood clots, cramps, breast tenderness, headaches, and dizziness, which is very normal for my period. This also would have been a second period for January, which was very annoying. I am currently waiting for my February period, which may be late, this is absolutely normal. Plan B is there to push back your ovulation date, your body releasing an egg (your period) is the sign that the egg was not fertilized. Do not stress, everything will be okay as long as you take it within the correct timeframe under the correct circumstances!"

For Emergency Contraception "Took 2 Plan B's in one month after unprotected sex. My last real period was May 7th. Took the Plan B's the 15th and the 25th. Each time I took it, I bled 5 days later. The month of June was miserable-bloating, headaches, emotional mood swings, cramping (with no period), dizziness, and tiredness. I ended up taking a HPT (which came back negative). Finally, I got my period on June 29th. Almost 2 months after my last real one (if you don't count the bleeding from taking the pill). Plan B WORKS. The side effects were worth the end result of not getting pregnant! Hope this review helps put someone's mind at ease. If your period is late, it's because of the high amount of hormones in this pill. Just wait it out and try not to stress."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I were having sex, and the condom broke. We were both in utter shock and scared of our minds, considering we are 17 and seniors in high school. I had just started birth control a week before the accident, so I was still unsure because I didn't know how effective it would be so early on. We drove right to the pharmacy and got Plan B. I took it within an hour of the condom breaking. I experienced some of the symptoms, such as nausea, leg pain, abdominal pain, and headaches. I wasn't due for my period for another 2 weeks. These were the worst 2 weeks of my life, not knowing whether or not my life would be ruined. Well, 2 weeks just went by, and today I was gifted with my period! Plan B saved my life."

For Emergency Contraception "I have used Plan B about 4 times in the last 12 months. I started a new relationship and birth control was something I did not want to take because of the adverse side effects it has on me. Sometimes the condom breaks or just comes off, so Plan B has been a friend. I experience depression when I take Plan B. I don't have this normally, severe mood swings, lighter bleeding, but horrible cramps and headaches. My period always came about 7 days after taking the pill. I never got pregnant."

For Emergency Contraception "I recently had sex with someone that has previously gotten me pregnant from one solo hookup 6 months ago, using the pull-out method! I am 38, so I wouldn’t consider myself in prime age for pregnancy, but I am, however, I guess very fertile. I had an abortion (abortion pill) early on. We hooked up again and used the pull-out method. We had sex EXACTLY 2 weeks from the 1st day of my period, which would have been during fertile days. I went and got a Plan B from Planned Parenthood (no appointment needed). I took the Plan B right after getting it, and it was 48 hours because they were closed on Sunday. I was supposed to be getting my period on the 3rd of the next month, and it came on the 29th (8 days from when I took the pill). Plan B works even during ovulation. Side effect: constant headache FOR DAYS! Could have been a hangover too. Also felt a little nauseous. I am so thankful for Plan B. I will never be in this position ever again. Don’t stress and have faith in the process."

For Emergency Contraception "GIRL, STOP PANICKING, IT WORKS!!!!! I had sex late at night on May 20, one day before my ovulation (according to my app). He did pull out, but I knew that there was precum inside of me. I didn't think much of it until the day after. I panicked! I spent 5 hours that day on Google and just researched. DON'T DO THAT!!! It was Saturday, and I couldn't get my hands on a Plan B pill. So the day after, on Sunday, I got my hands on the Plan B pill and took it. It was about 40 hours after I had unprotected sex. About 5 hours later, I had really bad stomach and back pain, headache, and basically all the pregnancy symptoms. I had those pains for about a week. Don't Google or do any kind of research. IT DOES NOT HELP YOU! It's gonna say you're pregnant and say that the pill doesn't work if you have already ovulated, etc. And that is NOT true, IT WORKS. So today, on June 8, I GOT MY PERIOD, a couple of days earlier than it should. Calm down, and let the pill do its work."

"I took the pill the day after unprotected sex. I admit I was a bit skeptical about whether or not this works, but I got my period, and it was only a day late. Stress plays a huge part, so try not to worry as much. The pill works! I was lucky not to have any major side effects, all I had was a minor headache."

For Emergency Contraception "Please do not fret, the pill worked great! I experienced practically no symptoms whatsoever. All I read about were complaints of side effects, which annoyed me because this was the main reason why I was so scared. Three days after my period ended (which lasted from May 14-20), my boyfriend and I did the bad thing without any protection. (May 23) He admitted right after that he unintentionally came in me. I took the Plan B pill 1.5 hours later. For four days, I experienced absolutely no symptoms, except for one morning in which I woke up with a small headache. That fourth night (May 27), a little brown discharge started, then for two days I had a mini brown/red period. After nothing for one more day, I got my real period! Positive experience!"

For Emergency Contraception "It works, ladies!!! Soooo, I just started dating this guy finally after talking for 6 months. Had sex on my ovulation day. Took the pill roughly 40 minutes afterwards. Then had sex the following week and he came inside me, so panicking again took the pill 23 hours later. The first time didn't feel any side effects but tiredness. The second time my boobs were tender, my back ached, I cramped really bad, and had headaches. Lol, it's funny that as soon as I was about to take a pregnancy test, I went to the bathroom and saw RED! I took it still, but it was negative obviously. Period was two days early but I'm just glad it came on today!"
