For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex a day after my period tracking calendar said I ovulated. My partner used the pull-out method and said he did not ejaculate in me, but I am a very worrisome person. I took the Plan B One-Step almost 48 hours after. I weigh 206 pounds and am 5'6", if this helps. Well, a week after, I was having dizzy spells, some nausea, hot flashes, constipation, sore boobs, and was very tired. I ended up getting my period a day before I expected it, so I would say that the pill worked for me in this instant. Don't freak out and do not spend your money on pregnancy tests before you are actually late for it. Stress can cause your period to be late, so just relax and don't think every little thing means you're pregnant because it will kill you."

For Emergency Contraception "To the girl reading this, relax and breathe! This was my first time taking Plan B, and it worked, and I was terrified. I had unprotected sex on Nov. 27, and I took the pill in 12 hours. The only side effects are moodiness, and I was dizzy for a few minutes. I was supposed to get my period on Dec. 1, but it came on Dec. 2. It came with major cramps and nausea! So breathe, ladies, and stop stressing like I was."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B is the best. This is probably the worst-case scenario, so listen up. I have been tracking my ovulation cycle for over five years and have never missed a beat. I was intimate with my fiancé after he returned from a business trip when I realized, OMG, where am I in my ovulation cycle?! I checked my calendar, and it turned out that the day we were intimate three times was the same day of ovulation! Chances of getting pregnant were super high! The worst part is I didn’t even check until two days later after he had left for his next trip. I immediately purchased Plan B, read the instructions, and took it. I was going into 72 hours when I took it, so I wasn’t sure if it was going to work. The only side effect I had was about two hours of dizziness three days later. After that, I was fine, and a couple of weeks later, my normal cycle started. I will also add I am over 40 and could stand to lose a few extra pounds. This product works!!"

For Emergency Contraception "Had sex the day after my ovulation, still in my fertile window according to my app. No birth control on board and no condom! Stupid and never again! Took Plan B One-Step 6 hours later. Experienced every symptom possible for two weeks. Nausea, dizziness, fatigue the first few days. Then headaches. Then mild cramping the remainder of the time. My boobs hurt so bad 4 days leading up to my period, which came one day late and three hours after receiving a negative pregnancy test. I worried the entire time and had panic attacks, my face broke out like never before and I was convinced I was pregnant because of all my symptoms. Me saying try not to worry isn’t going to stop you from worrying, but hopefully my experience will put you at ease a little. Use protection every time!"

For Emergency Contraception "I’ve taken Plan B 3-4 times over a 9-year period. The first 2 or 3 times I’ve taken it, I don’t recall any side effects. Now, the last time I took it (on November 11th, nearly 3 months ago), I’m still experiencing horrible side effects!! I’ve been battling major fatigue (it’s been a struggle to go to work, and just have to function), some dizziness, shortness of breath, and having major issues with exercising (muscle weakness) ever since I took Plan B. My fatigue has lessened, and I’m able to exercise more over the past week thankfully, but I’m still not 100%...I felt depressed yesterday and today, and I NEVER feel depressed. I will NEVER ever take this poison again, no matter what happens!! I’m normally a very healthy 35-year-old who exercises almost every day, but this pill has wreaked havoc on my body."

For Emergency Contraception "The condom broke. We ran out and got Plan B One-Step less than 2 hours later. After I took it, I had some cramping, headache, dizziness, and the urge to urinate more than normal. I must say, this pill is a lifesaver! I did not experience spotting like some people mentioned, but I did get my period one week later. It was actually right on schedule, no delay at all. I'm thankful that us women have this option out there. I'm so glad I took it right away like it recommends. It works!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took it after not using a condom just 4 days after my normal period. Later that day, I felt sick, emotional, and dizzy. The next day, I felt better. The second day, I felt sick again, dizzy, nauseous, lower abdomen cramps, and very emotional. I woke up feeling depressed, then by the afternoon, it turned to feeling edgy and angry, like very intense PMS that I've never experienced before. On the fifth day after taking it, I started my period, which lasted 5 days with heavy to normal period bleeding. Then it tapered off to low-flow spotting, noticeable most when urinating or during sex. Some days, it's heavier than others, this is still going on 7 days after the second period. It worked, but it's miserable."

For Emergency Contraception "I was just like you girls, reading these reviews, terrified that Plan B had failed. THIS DRUG WORKS!!! Had sex with my boyfriend June 18th, at around midnight-1 am. The condom broke, and we got Plan B 6 hours after. My only initial side effect was nausea. I have a really irregular cycle (sometimes I have a 29-day cycle, sometimes 38), and I had no idea if this pill would make my period come early or late. My period came a MONTH later in full force. But I had side effects from the pill in between that time-tender breasts, mood swings, sore nipples, dizziness, etc. I was on day 45 of my cycle when I noticed brown discharge, then it got heavier and turned into a period. Don't be scared, this pill works, I promise!! I had a very late period!"

For Emergency Contraception "I hate this pill due to all the horrible side effects I experienced. I had unprotected sex with my husband when we got married on May 28th. My period happened the week prior to us having sex. I took the pill a few hours after we had sex. Everything was fine up until two weeks after I consumed the pill. I was feeling sore, tender breasts that I couldn't even wear a bra since it hurt so much, horrible cramps, I was bloated like a cow, I had to take organic teas to help me, horrible headaches, mood swings, dizziness, and nausea. I had no period for the month of June and I started to worry. Today is July 11th and I just started my period! Praise the Lord! Pill works, horrible side effects. Six-week late period."

For Emergency Contraception "I promised I would come on here and leave my review. I took it on the day of ovulation. It worked! Got my period a day late. Took it about 2 hours after the accident. I felt like I was pregnant after 7 days, so stop reading pregnancy symptoms because you will have all of them and drive yourself crazy. Easier said than done, I sat here reading reviews for 2 weeks, which is why it was important to write my experience to help ease someone's mind. I was moody and had panic attacks. It took 2 months for me to feel normal again. I was getting vertigo and hot flashes. This too shall pass!"

For Emergency Contraception "I'm 18 years old. My boyfriend and I had protected sex, but the condom broke, and I woke up the next morning feeling sick, so I had him go buy me this pill. Needless to say, it worked, and I'm not pregnant. However, the side effects are insane. I immediately had terrible back pain (never had that before), cramps that felt like period cramps, nausea, dizziness, headaches, and bloating. I had to miss a day of school due to the insane amount of side effects. Not to mention, my period came a week after taking the pill when I wasn't supposed to get my period for 2 more weeks! That's frustrating because I just had my period last week, and now I have it again, even heavier this time. But on a positive note, I'm not pregnant!!"

For Emergency Contraception "So I took the pill about 17 hours after unprotected sex on July 24. I felt dizziness, definite moodiness, and was nauseous. My cramping went on a week before my period, off and on, and I had spotting the first couple of days before my period. I spent nights crying, worried, and not ready to be a parent, especially at the age of 18. I think speaking for anyone who's had the stress of this pill has learned their lesson about having unprotected sex. My period tracker said my period wouldn't start until August 13th, and here I am waking up this morning (August 10) and using the restroom and seeing my period. I have never been so happy! I cried (from joy), and I'm having period cramps as we speak, and I couldn't be happier!! Bring on the cramps! Lol."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B emergency pill for the first time and during ovulation period, I got dull cramps, especially on my right side. My appetite got robust, and I also experienced breast tenderness, as well as a bit of dizziness. I panicked reading about how it's not effective during ovulation and how the symptoms can possibly be pregnancy related. Needless to say, I got my period on time with really mild symptoms. It works."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex with my boyfriend maybe a week after my period ended. He didn't ejaculate in me, but the condom broke. I'm 18, and he's 17, and neither one of us drives. Meaning, we had no way to get the pill the first day we had sex, so I ended up taking the pill 2 days later. I was scared that it wasn't going to work since I had taken it so late, but I was wrong. Since I had a long time until my next period, that made it even worse. I was having slight stomach cramps, dizziness, nausea, and one day I slept all day and was still tired when I woke up. By this time, I was almost positive I was pregnant, but I came on my period a week early. It started out with light bleeding like implantation bleeding, but then gradually got heavier. Praise the Lord."

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself that if Plan B worked for me, I'd write a review, so here I am. I took Plan B on October 13 after an incident and took one more pill the next day. After that, I'm not sure why I did that, I just thought it would work better, I guess. I had light bleeding a week after for like three days. I got so happy thinking it was my period, but it wasn't, it was just breakthrough bleeding. I have been sick for four weeks after taking this pill, and I was convinced I was pregnant. I have had sore boobs for all those four weeks and have been feeling nauseous every single day. Since it's been four weeks, I was sure I was pregnant. I also felt dizzy at times and very out of it. Today, four weeks after, I started my period. So happy."

For Emergency Contraception "I decided to share my experiences because this forum has helped me quite a lot. The pill really works!!! My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. He didn’t finish inside, but I was worried about pre-cum. Plus, it was my first time. When I had sex, it was the day I was ovulating. Made me 10x scared. I took Plan B just to be safe. A week later, I got all the symptoms: headaches, dizziness, abdominal pain, etc. But I finally got my period on the day I was supposed to get it. Now I can finally stop worrying. I now learned my lesson and to always use a condom. This pill works! AND DON'T READ TOO MUCH! It will make you sick. Please do not stress yourself, you will be fine!!"

For Emergency Contraception "The Plan B pill worked for me. For background: - The only contraceptive my husband and I use is condoms. - According to my period tracker app, I was ovulating (I could also feel it) on Dec. 4th. During sex on the evening of the 6th/the early morning of the 7th (during my fertile window), the condom broke, and my husband finished inside me. Given the time (2 am), we had to wait until morning to get the pill. Panicked, I took 1 birth control pill from an old prescription I had (probably not the best idea... but PANIC!), and we went to bed around 3 am. At 9 am, we got the pill, read the box/directions, and I took it immediately. I experienced some slight dizziness/fatigue during the day, but no other symptoms after that. Then I just waited (and read through these reviews like crazy each day!) for a couple of weeks and took a pregnancy test on December 18th that was negative, and then got my period on December 19th."

For Emergency Contraception "The condom ripped on Aug 16th, but he did not finish inside of me. The chance of getting pregnant from pre-cum is much less than the chance of getting pregnant from semen, but it still might be possible, so to be safe, I got Plan B One-Step. My period tracker had estimated I was to ovulate the 17th. I had taken the pill 16 hours after sex. I did experience nausea, lower stomach pain, dizziness, and tiredness, but it was nothing too extreme. I was expected to get my period Aug 31st, and I got my period yesterday, Aug 22nd! A week early! My cramps are worse than usual, but nothing I can't handle! Better than being 16 and pregnant! Take the pill ASAP and let it do its thing. Don't stress, girls. Be positive and keep yourself busy!!(:"

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill within 24 hours after my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. It was during my fertile days. I received light bleeding within a week. Two weeks later, I got my actual period. The waiting was crucial! I experienced bloating, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. Don't stress over it, that could delay your period. Thank God my boyfriend was extremely supportive!"

For Emergency Contraception "I used Plan B One-Step 9 hours after unprotected sex. I didn't really experience any side effects, just a little dizziness, that was about it. I got my period two weeks after I took the pill, but my next period was a little over two weeks late. Happy to say that it worked for me. I do suggest using a pregnancy test just to ease your mind. I paid $60 for the pill."

For Emergency Contraception "I like some of the posts on here. Told myself if Plan B worked, I would leave a comment. So, I am here to say it worked!! At the beginning of March, after some drinks and dinner, I had sex. He initially had the condom on. But, when he finished, I found he took the condom off and I freaked out. 12 hours later, I got Plan B. Caused my period to come in 2 days. March 24th, we had sex again unprotected. I took the pill the next morning. For a week, I didn't stress until I started spotting and looking online - DO NOT DO THAT! Almost everything besides this great site talked about how it didn't work. But the 2nd week, I spotted pink and a little red for 5 days. Then I started having dizzy spells which freaked me out, and I was taking tests like crazy, all negative. Week 3, I had normal discharge, nothing like pregnancy, and had another negative which calmed me down. Today, April 16th, my period started. Ladies, it does work just take it as soon as possible, try to relax, and stay hydrated. Getting IUD on Monday. Sending my best."

For Emergency Contraception "Not sure if it's God's grace or I could be just infertile after my termination earlier in the year. I've taken Plan B about 4 times in a year after my accidents, and it has worked on all occasions. In my recent occasion, it was the most frightening experience. I had intercourse the day before my ovulation day and purchased the pill 18 hours later. To make things worse, my partner and I had sex again 2 days later without protection, and he fully came in me, but I decided to not take another because I was scared it may be too much for my teen body. I had experienced all the pregnancy symptoms in the weeks to come, from heavy swollen boobs, dizziness, headaches, frequent urination, back pain, vivid dreams, to constant lower abdominal pain. I had already sealed my fate. After sleepless nights and overthinking, my pregnancy test came out negative, and I got my period the same day (a day earlier than expected). So I can say Plan B does work, but the stress is so, so, so not worth it!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "My bf and I had an accident on Sept. 20 at 2 a.m. We had a condom, but when we switched position, I guess it slipped, and he didn't feel it. When we finished, we tried to grab it, and it wasn't there, and he came in me. I have a 34-day cycle (I am irregular). I am 22, 5'1, and 180 lbs. I was afraid it wouldn't work because of my weight (which is BS). I had to wait till morning to get Plan B (approx. 8 hrs). A few hrs after taking it, I was tired/sleepy the first 2-3 days. 1-2 weeks pass, I had nausea, hard and sore nipples, dizziness, etc. Yesterday (10/2), I received brown discharge and light red blood. I thought I was spotting because I didn't have heavy cramps, but today (10/3) it got heavier and seems I got my period :). I am a week early. I'll be keeping an eye out and taking tests just to be sure, but so far it seems like a period. Girls, don't stress, let the pill work on its own and have patience. That's key"

For Emergency Contraception "I'm young and inexperienced with sex, so when we decided to not use a condom, I thought it might be worth it since I knew about Plan B. Let me tell you guys, don't plan on Plan B instead of condoms or other forms of birth control. I thought it was a good option (and spoiler alert: it worked!), but I really regret relying on it. I waited about 20 hours to take it, and the next night I realized the day we had sex was my most fertile day (my ovulation day). Then I read a bunch of articles online about Plan B being ineffective if taken during ovulation, and I had a lot of pregnancy symptoms: bad cramps, tender breasts, bloating, dizziness. I got my period 5 days earlier than scheduled after freaking myself out and feeling like absolute crap. Never again."

For Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex near my ovulation date and freaked out, so I went to go get the Plan B pill. Was $24 since my insurance covered some of it and had my boyfriend pay for it. I was really nauseous on and off, had headaches, and was dizzy. I was REALLY tired too. My period came two weeks earlier, and it was really bad. Had big blood clots, really heavy period. The cramps were terrible. It was an unpleasant experience. BUT no baby. So that's good. Really helped. Really wish guys would go through this too. It's really unfair all we women go through."
