For Breast Cancer "After surgery, chemo, and radiation for stage 3c breast cancer with multiple lymph node involvement, I began tamoxifen, then changed to letrozole after 6 months. Now, past 11 years on letrozole, I have been told to stop taking it. There were side effects like night sweats, fatigue, mental fog, aches, but those were long ago, and I don't remember when they stopped affecting me. I was reluctant to stop letrozole for fear the cancer would recur, but have been reassured that the chances are very low at this time. Now almost 79 years old, still active, have other problems like heart, kidney, and gallbladder issues, but those are hereditary in my family. Looking forward to any improvements that stopping letrozole will give me."
