"I'll be done with the pills next Wednesday. Here is my advice to you: As much as possible, plan nothing, especially strenuous or even mildly active things, even if you feel really great most of the time, like I have. If you do have to go to work or do something active, really try hard to have some back up, a contingency plan. Today I was slammed really hard with the lowest energy and fatigue I have experienced yet. There is no way I could have worked. After a two to three hour of this, I am just starting to feel a turn for the better. Having said this, I do not want to alarm you. 85% of the time I have been fine. 10% of the time I dealt with some headaches, fatigue brief tinnitus,and stuff like that that seemed to pass fairly quickly. 5% if the time, however, I was in the shits and basically good for nothing productive whatsoever. I have heard that everyone is different. Just take this advice to heart, and go as easy as you can, including social events, sports and any active type of things. When those bad days hit, and you never no when they will, you will really be glad you can take some space for yourself. Such has been my experience with Harvoni. Also, I had to make sure I took a pill the same time every day, and I made a calendar to "scratch" off each day, at the same moment I swallowed a pill. They say it is important NOT to miss a day. If your anything remotely close to like me, trust me, make a system to keep exact info of taking your one pill each day and observe it religiously. I took mine upon arising each day so there was no question for that day."

"To be completely honest I have only been on it a week. The first thing I noticed is at bedtime I became really tired, or fatigued. Just tired !! I am hoping these are the only things that distress me. I mean come on people hep C will kill you, in a horrible way. What is wrong with a little discomfort for a short period of time, to save your life? Be positive, pray to GOD above and thank him for your healing."

"It 10 months post Harvoni ,trust me when I say I felt better when I had Hep C like 100% better taking my supplements minerals vitamin herbs spices,,never once in 15 years did my viral load reach over 40,000 i felt fine to be honest ,,yes i said 40,000 ,nothing really for Gen type 1a, now 10 months post Harvoni it's over the top anxiety, real bad eye sight, itching 24'7, depression, vertigo, dizziness, head fog is constant as is insomnia. "I started taking Harvoni for an 8 week period in February 2015. Yesterday, September 16, 2015 I had my second viral load blood test and the Hep C I had is completely undetectable. This is considered a complete cure in the medical world. For those of you new to Harvoni, the only side effects I experienced were fatigue and a slight headache for the first 8-9 days. After that, I had zero side effects. I didn't even know I was taking the medication. Harvoni is everything they say it is. Keep with the dosage and take it EVERYDAY! 8 weeks goes by really fast."

"I started Harvoni 10 days ago. Feeling good in the morning and then I fizzle out. By nightime, 8 p.m. I'm completely exhausted. 63 years old but that's not that old. Was told by the nurses who called to check on me, DRINK lots of water. No antacids - if necessary 4 hrs before pill or 4 hrs. after the pill. Not touching them. No upset stomach, mild headache but the tiredness is a killer. Told me to "hang in there" and believe me, I will!! This has been a blessing. Didn't even know I had Hep C and doc told me, you usually don't until something else goes wrong with you. Stick with it all you people ~ as difficult as it may seem. Can't wait for blood test!!! Even if its undetectable, was told you have to finish the treatment!!"

"I am on day 12 of taking Harvoni. I have had hep C 1b for over 30 years. I never knew my real self. At days 1-3 I felt tired, fatigued, irritable had headaches and brain fog. Felt the same as I always had. Started noticing changes on day 4, increased energy, could see whites of eyes instead of a murky brown yellow, skin looking better. Relapsed on day 7, started to feel tired, had to sleep after eating lunch, no energy. Days 8-13 feel amazing, no joint paints, feel 10 years younger, brain active, eyes alert, glassy, yellowing almost gone. "This was my third round of TX, first two relapsed, so 24 weeks of Harvoni with 17 days left of meds and truly have no complaints. This TX is NOTHING like the previous two with side effects. I take medicine at bedtime with Melatonin 5mg to help sleep. In the beginning I would notice a little upset stomach but crackers helped. I would have headache here and there but can't truly say it was from the medicine. At the end of the day, I honestly believe you must have positive attitude starting and not fixating of the neg that one may read. I pray daily the my EOT and post TX test still are undetectable, so I can bury this beast forever! Good luck to you all and focus on the end not the day to day!"

"Hey, my 6th week of Harvoni. Have not missed 1 day of work. I work part-time so that is just great. No side effects just slight headache,a little tired at the begining. Drink plenty of water or your head will hurt. Now lots of energy I don't know what to do with the energy. The disease had me so tired for so many years. I have been awaken again. I will think about Getting into a Salsa class or something. I did notice am not able to get to sleep at night with so much energy. Body tired but my brain is wide awake. "Remarkable ! Have had HepC for over 30years. Asymptomatic. Started an 8 week course of Harvoni about 7 weeks ago. Viral load went from 2 million down to UNDETECTABLE ! After just 28 days. Wow! Side effects are annoying but manageable. Have had headaches, fatigue, bloating, insomnia and body aches. But I just rest when I need to. Don't give up hope!"

"I was told by my doctor I have had hepatitis c for 25yrs. The only symptoms I have are fatigue and some jaundice thank goodness. I currently have hepatitis c genotype 1, I have been taking harvoni for 3 weeks now the only side effects I have had are headaches, and fatigue I have noticed I get up in the morning now feeling great, I used to have a hard time getting out of bed. Now I spring out of bed I can exercise and do daily chores. I thank god for harvoni. I got for my first lab tests on July 27th. I can't wait to find out the results. 10yrs ago I tried the interferon and ribavirin with the weekly painful injections, I was stopped after 3 months due to suicidal thoughts and the fact that it wasn't working I was devistated."

"I have been taking Harvoni for 8 days out of an 8 week treatment. Not a real headache as others but a light pain in the back of my neck for the 2nd and third days, its gone now. I am sleeping enough hours and I guess just a bit tire; I am also diabetic. Thanks to Obama care I was selected for treatment. I took two months off work to handle this treatment, my job consists of driving from 12 to 15 hours a day, tractor trailers. I have all my faith in these miracle pills. Thank you Mr. Obama for making a difference as the President of this great country, it was about time that the poor working class as well, be covered by healthcare. "OK, regular blood work last year in August. Elevated liver numbers. Go to gastro - run more blood tests, positive for Hep-c. Suggested Harvoni. We read about it, talked about it, decided to do it. 12 week treatment, started Feb. 1, 2016. Blood work every 4 weeks. Gone after first month. Gone after 2 month. Gone after 3 months and no more pills. No side effects either. Did quit drinking while taking the medication. So happy......next blood work. Still good. Blood work 2 weeks ago (Early Aug, 2016)....it's back. So disappointed. Heartbreaking. And on top of it all, about 7k in co-pays. A big waste of time and money. Read another forum where everyone had a relapse. Doesn't appear to be as good as thought if you ask me."

"Today was the first day I started Harvoni, I was pretty anxious before taking it this morning. I took One tablet this morning at 6 AM, and the only thing I noticed was a little fatigue, and the fatigue was definitely manageable and didn't impact my day at all. I went to the gym and worked on my car, fixing brake pads and wheel bearings. So I figure if I can handle this kind of work on day one, this medication sounds like the miracle pill everyone has said it is. Feeling Optimistic and grateful for science and research."

"The Hep C was a total surprise to me . Discovered when my Doc ran some routine bloodwork . I had been tired for a couple years and lost some weight , but I chalked it up to getting older , I'm 67. I have absolutely no clue how I contracted the disease . The gastroenterologist told me I had likely had it for 25-30 years ! I have some liver scarring but no Cirrhosis . I've only been taking Harvoni for a week and I swear I feel better already . My energy level is improving along with my general feeling of well-being . "Everyone. Ive read these blogs for years ever since I found out I had Hep C and this is the first time responding to one. Im 30 years old and experimented with dfferent drugs and steroids and somehow got the virus between the age of 18-22. What exactly was it? Idk. Yes, huge mistake! I went seeking for help around 25yrs old and they denied me! Lucky me becuase interferon was the treatment at that time and I've read it's hell. Again I recently tried at 30yrs old and I was approved with Harvoni! A miracle. I read about Harvoni for about two years and never went for help becuase of how expensive the treatment is and i figured i'd be denied. I went seeking for help becuase i was experiencing all sorts of issues like shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, liver stabbings, abdominal pain, bloating, headaches, abnormal urination, ect. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance with my job. Im a 1a genotype with 500,000 viral load. Im on my 6th day so far. Only the first night i had night sweats/nightmares. Yes its crazy. From that point forward NO side effects! I Drink lots of water and exercise daily. I take the pill on an empty stomach at 6am before work. I believe on an empty stomach is best for the body to absorb. My energy level has gone up significantly as i was noticing i was so fatigue before the treatment. Every issues I had is now gone. I truly believe that I'll be cured. I'll be happy to answer any questions"

"Thanks so much for sharing your stories. Glad to hear I am not the only one with sides & appear to to be all over the place with most people & alleviate here & there. So there is hope yet. Into my second day and feel ghastly. Threw up today 4 hours after taking the pill. The nausea got me. If this occurs within 5 hrs of taking a pill, you are supposed to take another one. Not this chick! Sides kicked in first day. Muscle/joint pain, yuk taste in mouth, no appetite, insomnia, nausea, mild headache, exhaustion, weakness. I've been languishing in bed for 1 & 1/2 days. Am female Australian, 65 years old, 55kg and 5 feet tall. I believe the smaller you are the harder treatment is or else I am just super sensitive...jilly"

"3 weeks 3 days in. Had blood work done waiting on first check. Hep for almost 30 yrs first attempt at treatment. Breast cancer survivor 8 years with neuropathy and chronic pain issues. Already have insomnia for many many years so I live on Ambien and medical marijuana to sleep. I'll b 54 next week. So far I have experienced very mild headaches but quite a few Gastro issues inside my gut. Morning tummy ache and it seems the longer I'm on the more issues but it could just be pre existing conditions. As far as the Harvoni I cannot differentiate if its me or the drug making it worse... WAY WORTH the sides if it clears the virus and I really did not believe there would b no side effects from such an intense drugs."

"Day 15 slight headache and insomnia. Other then that no side effects, helps if I drink plenty of water, I have severe panic attacks an was nervous about taking Harvoni but taking the first pill was the hard part. Been a breeze, very excited to complete all meds. Update just completed day 28 labs came back virus free yay! Dr said take for one more month and done, sleeping much better very excited, if you can't get meds covered call manufacturer for medicine assistance program."
