For Type 2 Diabetes "I started on 8 units at night, it took a week to kick in. My blood glucose was still a 10 in the morning. I have rapid insulin with meals. Toujeo has gone up to 11 units in 9 months. Morning blood glucose ranges from 6 to 8. If I exercise on a stationary bike at night and do not snack before bed, morning blood glucose is in the 6 range. The problem is weight gain of 15 lb and stomach bloating after injection. I cut carbs and walk an average of 90 minutes a day. It seems the rapid insulin with meals plus exercise after meals brings my blood glucose down. However, Toujeo seems ineffective as blood sugars climb up again. I don't understand what effect Toujeo is meant to have?"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I found this to be great at first, but like Victoza, after 4 weeks of using it, my body reacted to it horribly. I started rotten egg burps, which is a buildup of sulfur dioxide because food was now passing slower through the digestive system, this would cause me to vomit rotten-smelling food. The other side effects were feeling extremely tired and nauseous, chronic diarrhea, which lasted for over a week. In conjunction with the diarrhea, this caused a few accidents, which was embarrassing at work as it would happen any time. It made me scared to eat anything, my stomach became bloated within minutes of the injection. This was supposed to be a weekly dose for me. I stopped taking it 3 weeks ago, and all my symptoms went away. I then wanted to be sure this medication was the cause of my issues and that I hadn't caught some other virus. So, I took it on Thursday, April 8, 2021, by Friday afternoon and all over the weekend, my symptoms returned, making me feel so unwell. So, I won't be taking this anymore."
