Infliximab "I was on Remicade for 2 years and was able to have my pouchitis under control after the second infusion. No pain or inflammation. Was using the restroom 2 to 4 times a day. I have been on Inflectra for 8 months, 4 infusions, and it has been downhill after about 30 days from the first infusion of Inflectra. I have felt like rubbish for the past 8 months: loose stools, using the restroom 10 to 12 times a day, cramping, no energy, and my inflammation is back. Do not switch to Inflectra from Remicade. It does not work the same."

Infliximab "I almost lost my stomach several years ago, and if it were not for Remicade, I probably would have. Skin cancer is not mentioned in the 'black box' information. I was diagnosed with a very aggressive skin cancer that was not even caught by my dermatologist, which resulted in major reconstructive surgery of my arm and 33 treatments of radiation. This completely changed my life, and I want everyone to know that side effects can occur from this medication even when they are not originally posted as a side effect."

"So I was diagnosed on May 29th with colitis, and when I got diagnosed first, I was on steroids, but I got into a bad flare-up. They thought I needed surgery, but they found infliximab. It helped so much on the first three doses, but when I went on September 5th, I got a reaction, so we stopped the infusion. Last week, my doctor tried it again, and it still reacted badly with me. My doctor found out why my body didn’t accept infliximab anymore, it was because my immune system had gotten stronger, so this medicine only helps you when your immune system is down low. Right now, I’m on my way to get my Humira injection, which I’m a bit scared for. Davina from England."

"The first infliximab infusion was fine, but I was also on prednisone. Second infusion, I had a bad allergic reaction. It helped the UC but caused a bad rash all over my body."
