Inclisiran "I'm a 77-year-old man in good health. I just had my third 6-month injection from Metro Infusion Center. I'm happy to report no lasting side effects after my last injection. Site injection pain disappeared in less than 24 hrs. So far, I'm very happy with it. All my extensive blood work results come back normal, including my blood glucose level (85)."

Inclisiran "Two shots so far. Both times, worse stiff toes and ankles, low back pain, stiff neck, and shoulders. First time, these resolved in about a week. Stiff toes and ankles never resolve completely along with numbness in feet as a result of taking statins. Deemed statin intolerant, which is why trying the Leqvio shot. Odd side effect both times is eye irritation that feels like a stye coming on but never develops. Doing blood work to see how results are with two shots and low-fat lifestyle (down 25 lbs, weigh now what I did in my 20s). It better help or not sure all this is worth it! (Recommend with the caveat of the above)"

Inclisiran "Overall good experience with this drug, not had any side effects, I did lose a bit of weight but that's mainly because I went on a low fat low carb diet. The only complaint I have is regarding the area where the needle and the medication go in... it's a bit painful and bruised for a couple of days. Second jab done today hope it does its job and I'll be taken off it in the near future."

"I had my first injection in the 1st week of April. On the second week of May, my right foot was slightly swollen, and my joints in my toes were very stiff. Unfortunately, I tripped on something quite small while cleaning out my garage. I did not fall, but I fractured my third toe. It is finally healed after 5 weeks, mostly wearing a brace-like shoe. I am now resuming normal walking. However, at the beginning of the second week in June, I lost my balance and simultaneously noticed how stiff my right arm and hand were, so much so that I couldn't effectively break my fall. I fractured my wrist from that experience. I will be in a brace-like mechanism for four weeks. I am due in 4 weeks for another injection. Not at all sure I will continue the treatment."

"Had first injection of inclisiran September 2024. Twelve hours later, suffered stomach cramps, had to sit on the toilet for two hours! Felt bloated and sick, could not eat, loose stools. This lasted five weeks. Digestive system has not been right since. Have craved sugary foods. Now have joint pain in knees, hands, and feet. Severe pain that left me doubled up, now diagnosed with gallstones. It did lower LDL by half, but the side effects are too much. Still not right and coming up to six months after injection. Consultant kept telling me there are no side effects! Glad I am not making it up as has been implied. There has to be quality to life, not just quantity."

"I've just had my first injection. I've never been able to tolerate statins, after a triple bypass in March 2025. Inclisiran was presented as a miracle drug. But I've developed all sorts of joint pains, RLS, and insomnia. Having read all the comments, I'm wondering if the injection is responsible."

Inclisiran "I was previously on Repatha for a year and began unbearable side effects, so I was changed to Leqvio. About 3 weeks after my first injection, I began having migraine headaches, intense neck and lower back/muscle pain, fatigue, chest pain, and purpura on my right arm. The symptoms are beginning to lessen now that I am three months in and due for my next injection, which I will not be taking. It did keep my cholesterol level down but not as well as while taking Repatha. My triglycerides raised considerably to a high level."

Inclisiran "Just had my 2nd infusion. First one, no issues besides tenderness in arm of injection. 2nd one, I received 2 days after being on a cruise/flying and all kinds of coughing people. Was OK when I went in, but the next morning felt lightheaded and like I had a horrible cold. Hubs started feeling sickly also, so I am not sure if we got some germs on our travel or if the Leqvio was my culprit. Lasted around a week. Onward, I take warfarin for a mechanical heart valve. On a substantial amount (17 mgs) but normally numbers do not change much. During the period of my first infusion, I needed to start adding more warfarin to my daily dosage. After my second infusion, I realized that the dates of my adding extra started in this time period. I have raised my numbers to 20 mg a day, I was on around 17 mg prior. Correlation? Who knows but will consult with the doctor at Mayo Clinic at the end of the month. Curious if anyone else has had these issues..."

Inclisiran "In 2022, I got my first Leqvio injection in the doctor's office. I loved the results, my HDL cholesterol went to normal for a long period of time. This is the only medicine my body tolerated without any secondary effects. I beg my doctors to please get me back on, they prescribe, but insurance declined, subject to a letter of necessity, but that fails to fulfill the purpose. The doctor's office claims they did submit insurance claims, they never got it. I still need this injection. I have conventional Medicare Part B and D."

"About to have my third injection. First two did not lower my cholesterol levels very much but told it can take up to a year to respond. Side effects: irritable cough, but this could be from other medicines too (ACE inhibitors). Feeling very lethargic. I have also put on weight. My weight has previously remained stable for years. Has anyone else been troubled by weight gain? Will continue and review after third dose."

Inclisiran "I was unable to use statins because of serious, severe side effects. I have had 2 injections so far and have had zero side effects. Leqvio has lowered my cholesterol levels to normal with the 2 injections! I will be continuing with these injections as prescribed. Very happy with the results. I am 70 and a female."

Inclisiran "Hives and hand numbness approximately 2.5 weeks after the second shot -- in the arm that received the shot. Severe body aches gradually faded after the first shot in about 4 to 5 weeks. I am not far enough along from the second shot to know if/when the body aches will fade."

Inclisiran "The Leqvio injection was a brief stop at the cardiologist's office. Typical, brief shot in the back of the arm. Easy. They held me there for ~15 minutes to ensure no injection symptoms. The nurse administering the injection did it very well. No pain or discomfort. I don't have serum numbers yet so I am unable to speak to the effectiveness, but I wish all my meds could be this easy."

Inclisiran "My experience with Leqvio has been very good. My cholesterol went from 140 LDL to 50 LDL after the second shot. The shot was relatively painless, less than the flu shot. No side effects. I am a 61-year-old man who feels relieved not to have to take a statin every day."

Inclisiran "I am 76 years old and female and eat a heart-healthy diet. I am scheduled for a 3rd injection in March. To begin with, my cholesterol levels were not much over the suggested limits, but since I have hereditary high blood pressure and a family history of heart attacks, Leqvio was prescribed. I didn't want to take another prescription pill since I was already taking 5 (3 for high blood pressure, 1 for thyroid, and 1 for acid reflux). I preferred an injection 2 times a year. It is given in the fat of the arm, not the muscle, so uncomfortable side effects were minimal and brief. The only other possible side effect was cramping from my calf to my foot, mostly at night. This subsided after about a month. My bad cholesterol dropped significantly, and my good cholesterol remained very good. Although it does mean another trip to the doctor's office for the nurse to give the injection, it is very quick."

Inclisiran "Started first injection 2 weeks ago. A week later, very loose bowels for three days. I don't have any muscle and joint pain like the statin drugs caused. But I am very fatigued during the day, my legs are weak. Even after sleeping 8 hours. But if it lowers my LDL and I don't have to have bypass surgery again, I can live with it. I plan on starting strength training with weights to see if I can counteract the fatigue, plus B12 supplement."

"Horrendous problems after the second injection. Information in pelvis and legs, the left leg hardly able to move. Pain in the muscles, unable to even put my socks on! Muscles hard and sore, pain in the groin. Severely impacted my normally very active life."

Inclisiran "Nothing seemed to work to lower my cholesterol to acceptable levels, but using Leqvio along with a statin and ezetimibe brought my total cholesterol to 126. I have had no side effects from Leqvio. My only criticism is the cost."

"I have found inclisiran to be extremely debilitating. Blood pressure became very unstable. The pain in my pelvis and legs is very difficult to conduct a normal life with! I took this drug as I had a dreadful reaction to statins. I am now three months into my second dose and have a constant kidney infection. Terrible lymphatic problems in my legs. Deeply regretting having taken it; even though it lowered my cholesterol. It is all about quality of life! Mine has been very adversely affected by this drug. I certainly will not be taking it again."

Inclisiran "No problems with the injection site, only sore for about an hour, then nothing. As for the side effects, I seem to get a cold 3-7 days after the injection. Once very severe, with coughing, but my last injection only produced a runny nose and some upper chest congestion. I have BPH, so it is hard for me to determine if some burning and slight pain is caused by the BPH or the injection. As for my LDL, it has been reduced by about 30%."
