For Osteoarthritis "Finally, after years of pain, inflammation, and not being able to bend my knee, my doctor suggested Orthovisc. He explained to me what it was, what it's for, what to expect, and without a doubt, I said yes! After being so miserable for so long, I figured I had nothing to lose. After the first injection, I had relief, finally! It was tender for the first day, after that, it was fine. I completed the three-week regimen, and I'm so glad I went for it! My knee feels great! I'm going for the other one starting next week. Thank you, Orthovisc, and thank you to my doctor. No pain, I can bend and walk pain-free!"

For Osteoarthritis "I have a history of knee injuries from when I was younger, and now in my late 30s, I have the beginning stages of arthritis. It was suggested I get the Monovisc injections to help relieve pain and to prevent further damage. The actual shot did not hurt! My MD did it without any sonogram guidance and only used the cold spray to numb the skin. All I felt was a pinch and then pressure from the Monovisc being injected. A slight soreness where the injection was done, and that's it. No discomfort walking and no need to ice or rest right after. I was told it would take a few weeks to feel the effects."

For Osteoarthritis "I believe that more often than not, negative posts are more prevalent than positive posts on these feeds. I have had several 3-series gel injections and, before that, tried the single-dose injections. I get some relief from them, especially if it overlaps with a cortisone shot. By no means do they last 6 months. Yes, my knee is cranky after the shots. I think the second one is the worst. My knee does not catch as much. It takes a little time for the knee to get used to the fullness, and soreness subsides, but I get several months of relief after. I’m a candidate for full knee replacement, and I just haven’t committed to it yet. As my knee gets worse, the shots seem to get more uncomfortable. It’s a Band-Aid. Knee pain goes from a 9 to a 6 after."

For Osteoarthritis "Just had my second injection yesterday. After the first injection, I was somewhat sore and my knee was swollen, however, since yesterday, soreness has retreated and swelling has subsided. Feels good. It takes, as I understand it, 4-6 weeks to take full effect. So, we will see, but so far, so good."

For Osteoarthritis "I have two shots two weeks in a row. The first one I felt relief in about 3-4 days. My second shot was nearly a week ago, and I am in pain around the area of the injection. If this pain was gone, I’d be feeling much better than 2 weeks ago. Not sure if the injection was too soon after the first or if I tensed up or some other reason. The area above my kneecap is swollen, and the area around the injection site is a bit inflamed and tender. Wondering if anyone has had this issue. My next shot is in a week and considering waiting longer."

For Osteoarthritis "I got this injection 4 months ago and got worse. My knees feel like they are stuffed with something, my knees are prone to lock, and I have trouble moving my legs after sleeping for a while. My movement has been much more restricted, and if I stand for more than 15 minutes, they ache. It has been very debilitating."

For Osteoarthritis "Had a series of three shots in my right knee, the last one on 11/9/2017. The shots stabilized my knee, but I was left with one 'area' of the knee that was tender; however, I could take walks in our hilly neighborhood, go to the grocery store without pain, and generally get on with my life. It is now 1/1/18, and that pesky 'area' is hurting more. I am now using the RX NSAID on a fairly regular basis and icing the knee every night. I have to say, I am disappointed-to say the least. It felt really empowering to be able to walk again."
