For Osteoarthritis "I have had other hyaluronic acid injections, and Hymovis was a lot better, in my opinion. The other injections did work, but not as good as Hymovis. Plus, Hymovis seems to last longer for me. My knee did feel a little wobbly for about a day after the injections."

For Osteoarthritis "I've been getting Orthovisc injections for 12 years. I'm 52, just had the first of 3 again this am. Makes a big difference for me, and has. Tried another brand, 3 shots in one, yikes, and didn't last. Yes, the 3rd shot is more painful, and yes, feels a bit wobbly at first after each injection but it's gone within a day. Still snowboarding, hiking, paddle boarding, wakesurfing more than wakeboarding (that is impact). Thank you for Orthovisc. PS, side note, have a reputable orthopedic with great PAs who mostly do the injections. It can go crazy painful bad with that long needle."

For Osteoarthritis "Been doing shots to both knees since 2005-original Symvisc Hylan G-F 20. Have avoided surgery, and shots once a year have always worked for me. I am now 73 and planning replacement knee surgery for next summer. Osteo does not go away, and the painful events are becoming more often than before-a couple of flare-ups a year that require daily Tylenol, ice, and curtail my daily 7,000 steps a day goal… so maybe my time has run out. I am doing one last round of shots on both knees and had the first shot done on Friday. This time, I was administered Orthovisc, and the immediate result was dizziness, pain in both knees, need for a cane. I’ve been in pain all weekend-no walking, no gym, just ice and Tylenol. The first 24 hours were actually scary since I had more pain and discomfort than I had when I walked into the doctor's office. After 72 hours, it has calmed down-but it’s like the liquid is “settling in.” I don’t know if this was just a “me” response or the Orthovisc formula."

For Osteoarthritis "I am a 49-year-old male and a past user of Synvisc and Hyalgen, with positive results from both. Unfortunately, I decided to try Hymovis because it came highly recommended by my doctor. What a MISTAKE! This product should be immediately recalled and taken off the market. After the first bi-lateral knee injections, I was very pleased with the results, but shortly thereafter, the second shot it wasn't good. My knees became severely swollen and extremely painful to the point that I had to use crutches, became dizzy, and felt physically ill for over a week after the second shot was administered and had a total of 240 CCs of fluid aspirated from both knees. It's been about two and a half weeks now since my last shot, and I still cannot walk unassisted. Prior to receiving Hymovis injections, I had moderate arthritis, but now I am in so much pain that I feel a total knee replacement might be warranted, and I am currently scheduled to see a knee surgeon. Please do not use Hymovis!"
