For Bronchitis "I am a doctor (general physician and public health specialist) running a private hospital in a rural area of the northwest province of Pakistan. Here in this area, typhoid fever is endemic, and now the strains of S. typhi and Paratyphi have become multidrug-resistant typhoid fever due to unethical prescription of antibiotics, especially fluoroquinolone and cephalosporins. In my personal practice, the combination of gatifloxacin with azithromycin has a high cure rate and is eradicative as well as cost-effective. A 7 to 10-day treatment regimen. Stool examination should be done for S. typhi and paratyphi excretion at the end of treatment. If the patient becomes a carrier, then a four-week regimen should be prescribed along with preventive measures. Thanks."
