Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "As a lifelong seasonal allergy sufferer, I search for something that won't put me to sleep, won't cause side effects with other medications I can afford. For most of my life, I've taken plain old Sudafed with an aspirin from mid-February, when the early bulbs start to bloom, until after Thanksgiving, when pollen finally is gone. Last year, my daughter, who has similar symptoms, tried Flonase with great success. For me, the 'Hottest Year Ever-2015' was also my worst ever year with allergies, I have all the symptoms from watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, etc., etc., etc. I've been using it for 4 days, starting with 2 times a day, then once a day, and my symptoms seem to be going away!"

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "I suffered from a stuffy nose, headaches, and ears aching for 3-4 years. Numerous sinus infections, antibiotics, and visits to the doctor and ENT. Nasocort didn't do much, Flonase works! I was hesitant at first as I don't like taking meds-side effects, allergic reactions, etc. My experience has been great, it's worth trying if you have tried other things. It's safe and effective. Side note: 2 years ago, we installed a humidifier in our furnace system to keep moisture levels up. GAME changer! No sinus infections since. Best of luck. Be safe and give it a try."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "Took a week to fully unplug my nose. After a month of use with 1x a day of one spray per nostril, I lost my sense of smell. I am now on day 3 of not taking it, feel pretty tired, not feeling well. Hoping those feelings will pass and I get my sense of smell back. Currently, my nose is still unplugged. If it weren’t for the smell thing, I’d give this a perfect 10 for clearing a stuffed-up nose."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and can finally breathe through my nose again. I have not been able to breathe properly on one side for several months. Within 2-3 days, I was breathing clearly again. Great medicine!! No side effects at all."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase is possibly okay for intermittent use if your nose is completely clogged. I do NOT recommend this for daily use, as ENT's and Dr.'s suggest. The more I used this, the more migraines and daily headaches I got. I started feeling better not using Flonase and told a Dr. this, and he told me to keep using it. So I started using it again, and back came the debilitating migraines. Horrible ones for which nothing worked and for which I had to miss work. Will never go back to this. Nasal rinse only. Giving it 3 stars for the occasional use only."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "This was taken daily, caused increased appetite, cravings, and rapid weight gain. Gained 70 lbs in 2 years, all can be contributed to months where taking this was a constant daily with Allegra. Once both were discontinued, weight gain stopped, and was able to lose weight. When both continued (as per Dr.), weight gain began again despite dieting, exercise plus having an active job and am not sedentary. Both corticosteroid nasal sprays and antihistamines have been studied separately and shown to cause weight gain, yet neither drug lists it as a side effect. If obesity runs in your family, STAY AWAY! Additionally, it did NOT help my allergy to mold. I still have chronic post-nasal drip and congestion. I still got severe hay fever 6x last year despite taking these drugs nearly daily."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I had a cold that triggered some bad allergies. Constant sneezing, runny nose, one side of my nose constantly clogged, that awful itchy feeling in my nose that wouldn't go away. After my first dose of Flonase, I didn't sneeze even once for the rest of the day! I am so pleased with the results. I'm on day 2 and have not had any noticeable side effects. In regard to another review that said that the 60-dose doesn't give you the full amount due to the 'priming' sprays - in the little booklet that comes with it, it says that they account for priming sprays in the dosage. So you aren't wasting any product by properly priming it."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Have used many allergy pills, but nothing works like Flonase. The only problem is when switching to generic, it stopped working for me. I thought I was immune after 2 years, but it was the 'generic' that failed me. I've gone back to regular Flonase."

Fluticasone nasal for Nasal Polyps "So far, this medication is working pretty well. I had sinus surgery in December 2017 to correct a deviated septum, nasal polyps, and congestion. I've been taking Xhance for about a month now, and I've had no breathing issues except minor congestion, which is a side effect of the medicine. I don't have the seasonal allergies I normally would have this time of year. The part that you blow into became blocked (I couldn't blow into it) after a few days of use, so I just use it like you would Flonase instead. I've gotten a nosebleed, which is also a side effect."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I already suffer with anxiety and allergies. I've tried this the last two days, and my anxiety levels have shot through the roof: palpitations, shortness of breath, elevated blood pressure. Unable to sleep until the early hours despite taking medication, then on edge all day long, feeling anxious and irritable. If you're already suffering from anxiety issues, I'd be very careful about taking this, if at all. Whether it's had any impact on my nasal congestion, I don't know, because I've been overwhelmed with anxiety."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I took this for my inner ear infection and swollen lymph node. After the 3rd day of one squirt in the left nostril, I started getting anxiety and panic attacks. It worked great to relieve ear symptoms, but definitely not worth the anxiety and panic attacks."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase has changed my life. I developed a sinus infection a week before my cruise to the Bahamas and knew I couldn’t go like that. My sinus infections typically last 5-7 days. I would take Benadryl, Zyrtec, Sinex, Mucinex, and use Vick’s Vapor Rub. I also used the Vick’s Vapor Rub steam inhaler. It would only give me temporary relief! I would never try nasal sprays. I didn’t want to put anything in my nose. I finally tried Flonase and Hallelujah!!!! It wasn’t immediate, but it worked. I tried it at 11:30 p.m. and at 6 a.m. I all of a sudden started breathing normally and have not had any issues or side effects! It was such a major breakthrough for me! It is definitely going with me on my cruise!"

Fluticasone nasal for Nasal Polyps "I had a FESS due to massive polyp growth, which completely blocked my nasal passages - so I couldn't breathe through the nose anymore. After the surgery, I started taking Avamys (=Veramyst for Europe) for 6 months to prevent nasal polyp growth. First of all, I have to say that I felt great relief. My nose never hurt, and I had no congestion or any other sinus problems. However, after taking the spray for 3 consecutive months, I felt that my nose got dry, and I noticed some blood in my nasal secretion. In addition, my eyes felt more sensitive, and I felt more tired than usual, but I have no clue if the last two effects were Avamys side effects. Avamys gave me relief in allergic rhinitis as well, even though it didn't completely stop the symptoms."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase seems to dry out my nose but causes throat and voice irritation. Dr. advised to just give one shot in each nostril once a day but aim the spray to the outside wall of the nose. After a couple of days, it seems to be helping but still have some throat itch. I wonder how many days it will take for the vocal cords to settle down?"

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "I started Flonase a few weeks ago. The first few days, I was impressed with the immediate relief I felt, but any noticeable positive effects wore off quickly, and I used it intermittently without being able to feel a difference between 4 days in a row and 4 days off. It took me a little while to realize the correlation between Flonase and my sudden onset of adult night terrors. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing faster than if I had sprinted up a mountain. The first time, I thought I was maybe having a heart attack. Episodes would happen whether I took it at 11 pm or 4 pm earlier that day. I also began having palpitations and chest tightness during the day after the nights I took it, which in retrospect are likely related. I'm only 30 and not overweight, and these effects started 1-2 days into taking Flonase. I can't imagine the cardiac effects it is having on people who take it for years!"

For Rhinitis "As far as I can tell, I am allergic to every particle in the air. My nose is itchy and sniffly 24/7, regardless of season or location, with stronger attacks seemingly at random. When I get a cold, my nose closes entirely, and I spend a week being completely miserable. I've never felt any noticeable improvement from antihistamines, and those can't generally be taken long-term anyway. I've had doctors suggest regular nasal irrigation to rinse out the particles, but that only ever made me more sniffly. Got a prescription for fluticasone a few months ago, and it was like magic. I could breathe more easily almost immediately, and it only got better from there. No side effects at all. I finally felt how I think normal people must feel."

For Rhinitis "I gave it a 5 out of 10 based just on my experience. For two months, it worked beautifully! I felt so much better. Then I ended up with severe dizziness, increased thirst and urination, diarrhea, weakness, aches, and pains. Also, muscle spasms around the eyes, and I believe higher blood pressure, though I can't corroborate exactly. All symptoms have gone away since quitting. The one that's lingered the longest has been the increased thirst and urination. Apparently, this medication can raise blood glucose levels in blood and urine, triggering diabetes. Fortunately, it's been a little over a week since I stopped medication, and those symptoms are getting better now too. (One day I counted-- I had to go to the bathroom 13 times in a 12-hour period)"

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I used Flonase for several months. It seemed to be working well. Then I started to get nosebleeds. Then I was told by medical personnel that the Flonase can thin the mucous membranes inside the nose. So, I'll never use this again."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "Awesome! For years, I suffered sinus headaches, which are much like migraines. Flonase has alleviated that tremendously. I don't take this all the time, just when I sense allergy season or plan to be somewhere where there is an atmospheric change, like the mountains or in an airplane. It keeps my sinuses from swelling, causing the headache, it's not an instant fix, it takes about 11 hours to be effective on me."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I used to use tons of OTC nasal sprays to the point of addiction, really. I had to stop, but both nostrils would clog completely shut without it. I have also severe nasal allergic reactions and swollen air passages/asthma. My Dr. gives me Flonase by Rx. Within a couple of weeks, my nose cleared, both nostrils stopped swelling, no more nasal allergy, and this has been a miracle med for me! I never needed Afrin or anything again. My sense of smell is still low, but I can smell now!"

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "I suffer from year-round allergies to at least a half dozen allergens. My doctor has had me on Claritin and Nasonex. While they didn't completely alleviate my symptoms, he had no other suggestions. When I ran out of Nasonex, I decided to forego the hassle of stopping by my doctor's office to pick up a prescription and instead got Flonase from a nearby Walgreen's. This stuff is the best! It alleviated all of my symptoms (constant runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, nasal congestion). So much so that I can breathe through my nose at night without my usual Breathe Right strip. Thank you, GSK!"

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase has been amazing for me. I began using it to stop my 17-year addiction to Afrin. It wasn't easy at first; I almost gave up. But, after about three weeks, I noticed I didn't need to use the Afrin as much. I used the Flonase exactly as directed, and I think this made a difference. My advice is to give it time! I used both Afrin and Flonase the first few weeks. I tried to really cut back on the Afrin and only use it if I had to (still led me to using 4 times per day). One day, I woke up breathing just fine and didn't reach for the Afrin; I only used the Flonase. For the rest of the day, I didn't use Afrin! It's been 30 full days Afrin-free! I never thought I could kick it. Be patient, use it as directed, and keep using it! I can breathe better, wake up non-stuffy, can smell perfumes, have less sneezing, less headaches, and best of all, I don't have to tote around a bottle of Afrin everywhere I go! I use the Costco brand, and it worked like a charm and is very affordable."
