Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I've been on Cryselle for 3 years. It's the best birth control that ever has controlled my period. Light, never heavy, sometimes so light you don't have to wear anything except a liner. I'll start on Thursday, be off by late Saturday, with spotting on Sunday. Before, I'd bleed for two weeks straight. But the side effects of this pill are horrible. Everything starts two weeks before: severe breast tenderness, uncontrollable mood swings, nausea, headaches, and slight stomach pains that aren't cramps. If you can bear all of the symptoms and have short periods, then Cryselle is for you, if not, then you should pass."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I first took Cryselle when I was 15, and I had the worst side effects: breakthrough bleeding, headaches, anxiety attacks, weight gain, and my periods lasted 2 weeks. I got on it again when I was 18 and had little side effects! My periods are a little heavier and hurt a bit more, and I have very sore boobs. Other than that, it's a charm. No pregnancy."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "Have been on this pill for over 3 years. Works well to prevent pregnancy, and my periods are light with little to no cramping. Only downfall is the horrible mood swings. I get super mad at little things and cry over everything. Considering switching to a new birth control because of how bad my mood swings are. I also get horrible headaches 2-3 times a week. Didn’t realize that was a side effect till I read the pamphlet that comes with the pills."

For Birth Control "So far, all I've experienced with this pill the short time I've been on it is tiredness, and I got a really bad headache the other day, which I hear these side effects wear off after a couple of months, which I can handle no problem!"

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever taken. Dr. prescribed me this to prevent pregnancy / treat cramps. I have always had horrible menstrual cramps, but this has only made them worse. Every month I have debilitating cramps, headaches, bloating, mood swings. My periods are shorter and lighter, but that's about the only positive point I can give to this brand. Makes me feel nauseous, lightheaded, and crampy in between periods. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone!"

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I was on the pill for over 3 years; I stopped for a few months and started again, and this is what I've noticed. I still give it a decent rating because it prevented pregnancy and regulated my cycle. However, my periods never stopped being moderate-heavy, and my cramps are actually worse on LO; I couldn't function without Midol when I was off. I also have highish blood pressure and headaches/migraines, which this pill only exacerbated. Off LO, I had sometimes-normal-usually-prehypertension readings, and now on Low-Ogestrel are again stage 1/2 hypertension readings, and my headaches are much more common all cycle, as opposed to mainly a couple here and there. I'm only 19 and would really like to get back to enjoying my youth instead of feeling like garbage all the time, so I think I'll switch to condoms instead."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've never really been a pill taker, but after 2 kids and heavy flow, I decided to take something, and this is what the doctor gave me. My legs and arms fall asleep, my vision is blurred, I have terrible headaches, and my mom is crazy. How can you take this mess with kids and still be able to function? Needless to say, I will stop taking them!"

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "Unfortunately, this birth control pill gave me the worst headaches! I think I had at least 2 per week. Some were migraines. I was also more emotional, but the headaches were the reason I stopped using this. No weight gain or acne."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "This birth control isn't bad, definitely not the best but not the worst. Before Cryselle, I had almost perfect skin with occasional breakouts here and there, but I break out on my chin often now. It's not bad, and it goes away in a couple of days or so, but before the pill, that almost never happened. It made my period a little shorter by a day or so. I do have very bad mood swings, but I've always been kind of a moody person, so it might just be me. But other than that, this pill is good, I haven't gained any weight, I don't spot, I occasionally get mild headaches... but nothing an Advil couldn't fix."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Gonadotropin Inhibition "I took Cryselle for prep for IVF. Side effects are rough! Horrible breast swelling and pain for the first few weeks, terrible cramps and pelvic pain for 2 weeks straight, almost constant, odd period even while on active-only pills for 5 weeks, weight gain after just one month, headaches almost daily, tired and moody. I wanted to feel good about this as it's prep for something exciting, however, it has been distressing and upsetting."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "This medication has been pretty good overall. I haven’t gotten pregnant and my acne has gotten noticeably better. I have gained maybe 10 pounds in the months I’ve been taking it, but I’m not sure if it’s because of the pill or just quarantine weight. I do get headaches on my period now when I didn’t before, but overall I’m happy taking this medication."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I took this medication for 3 days, and it was terrible. The first day, everything was fine. On the second day, I had a slight headache, and I felt bloated. The third day was the worst. I felt fine the entire day, took the pill in the evening, and went to the gym. I felt very uncomfortable, and I noticed my stomach was visibly bloated, and I felt sick. My stomach proceeded to get bigger to the point I started to puke. After that point, I stopped taking the medication and have been feeling fine."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for one week and have had a constant headache. Most severe headache I've ever had. Not only that, but it makes me feel sick to my stomach as well."

Ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel for Birth Control "I have been taking Cryselle for just over two years and have been fighting depression, weight gain, terrible headaches, and anxiety attacks for the entire duration. I live a very stressful life, but I was always optimistic and could fight through it until I started taking this pill. After about 3 months, I tried to commit suicide, my depression has become debilitating, and I have anxiety attacks at the most random moments without any triggers. I've been off the pill for about a week, and my mood is already improving. This pill changed who I am completely. I lost my friends and became distant, all because of the depression. I'm not sure how to be me again or who I even am anymore. Be careful and watch out for any side effects."
