Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "This was the first birth control I was on, I've since bounced around to three others and I'm finally back to Cryselle. I have found this to be the most consistent and dependable. It normalized my cycle and helped my bad cramps and PCOS. My acne didn't really change much, but it did help my deep cystic acne. Now I just get those clusters of tiny acne around my placebo week. If I skip it I don't get them though. All in all, I like cryselle the best out of the 4 I've been on. I've been on cryselle for about 3 years now and I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon. Especially since it's cheaper than the others.Just remember everyone is different and will react differently to every pill!"

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I feel like, based on all these reviews you either love it or you hate it. This works wonders for me. The first inactive week, the first period o had on it was HORRIBLE. But after that as my body adjust it really helped. Also I know it's terrible but when I was younger I had unprotected sex and I never worried because I always get my period on the 3rd-4th day of the inactive. Been on them for about three years now, would recommend if you have very little medical history to worry about."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I've been on this medicine for 6 months. I gave it a 5 for the sole fact it does do its job in preventing pregnancy and my periods have been overall shorter and lighter. However, starting this pill I was miserable from extremely tender breasts, nausea, extreme emotions, and weight gain. I've been on birth control for 10 years and have never gained weight, but within 6 weeks of starting this pill I gained 20lbs. Because of that and the fact that it makes me extremely emotional and/ or moody, I will be stopping at the end of my current pack."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "This pill has made me so dizzy and lightheaded every single day, and given me the worst anxiety attacks!! I have never had any health issues or issues with anxiety until I started this BC. I am dizzy and anxious sitting here typing this. It's the worst feeling. And due to the dizziness/lightheaded feeling it sends my heart into over drive and it starts pounding then I get nauseous and have severe anxiety. I am glad I looked up the reviews before going to the ER thinking I have some major brain issue going on because I have been so dizzy every. single. day. As of last night I have stopped taking the pill. Pray this feeling goes away in the next few days so I can go back to being normal."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I never would recommend. Its only prevented pregnancy. I've had every worse side a effect. Ever since I started it I've bled so heavy for over a month. I feel like I'm sick n dizzy from blood loss. I have major headaches and episodes of crying. Episodes of anger, depression, irritation frustration like a psycho. I'm not myself at all. I'm in such a dark places. I can't take it! It's ruining my life. I've never been so mad and sad in my life. Uncontrollably miserable in and out everyday. If I'm not raging annoyed for small stuff I'm blank blah and annoyed and I mentally breakdown every other day. I'm switching to ortho tri cyclen. Something about cryselle will make you cry forever. If you want to be negative all the time, just plain miserable, n unpleasant to be around or want to be a psycho this pills for u. I can't believe how horrible this is."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "At first this pill was wonderful. I experienced after a few months that I was super depressed & sad over nothing. Mood swings constantly and stomach pains all the time on and off my cycle. I became so sad I started having horrible anxiety and then panic attacks on the regular. I cried one to two times weekly over nothing & my relationship started to get sour because of the roller coaster moods. Severe headaches and nausea right after I stopped taking the pill for my cycle and cramps so horrible I couldn't stand. I was also so tired and had no sex drive. I was unable to enjoy an orgasm because it took so long for me to have one I would give up. I always had a high sex drive this caused more sadness and anxiety for me. I went on the website and had every side effect at least once and decided it was time to get off the pill. This isn't how a young 24 year old should feel. Please read the side effects asap and do not take this pill any longer if you start to have these same side effects."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I’ve been in Cryselle for 4 years now. I take my pills faithfully. Now I haven’t gotten a period since Sept 2019. I am on a 21 day count. I NEVER take the last row which my doctor says it’s ok. It doesn’t give me a period. I’ve been doing fine up until today I see all this blood in the toilet. I’m guessing it must be my period since it hasn’t come on since Sept 2019 "

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "This is the worst form of birth control I have ever been on, I gained 10 pounds in a month without changing my diet. I'm normally an anxious person and get hormonal around my period but this pill intensified everything. I cried almost everyday and got angry over stupid things and I didn't have any anxiety free moments through out the day at all on this pill. Terrible headaches and nausea, I just got off of it so I'm hoping it all goes away soon. I don't recommend this"

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I had been on Low Ogestrel since I was 18, but never really got the hang of the hormones in the BC. I told my doctor and was switched to something else and unfortunately that didn’t work out, it was absolutely terrible. When I asked to be switched back to Lo ogestrel they gave me Cryselle because they said it was basically the same. WRONG. Not only did my I have more extreme mood swings but it did not work with my body the way LO did. And the cherry on top? I broke out like crazy! It didn’t work for me, but that’s been my personal experience."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I began talking this pill 4 months ago to help with my PMD. The 2-3 weeks following my period I had extreme irritability/anxiety. My periods were also very heavy and accompanied by severe cramps and extreme fatigue and headaches. My doctor recommended this pill to level out hormones and help with cramps. This pill has been amazing. My periods are 3-4 days long and very light. I have NO cramps. My face has cleared up except for a couple breakouts on my chin the last day or so of my period, but they are gone in a couple days. I feel so much better on this pill. Incredibly lower levels of irritability/anxiety."

Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I had my period for a month straight after taking this for a couple weeks. Then when that was finally done and I got my period again, the week before I was extremely bloated and constipated. I have had no sex drive, when my boyfriend tries to be physical with me I get disgusted and my anxiety and depression has been horrible. Along with that I have nausea almost every time I eat. I've been miserable. Worst birth control I have ever taken."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "Since starting this brand of birth control two years ago I have gained forty pounds. During the two years I exercised thirty minutes a day seven days a week. Despite the weight gain this pill worked very well for me and I never had any other problems."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I would not recommend this pill. I've been on this pill for for 5 years and at the beginning it was okay to use for my acne and to use for regular periods but over time my acne comes back horribly I have severe anxiety and I hyperventilate. I absolutely have no sex drive. It's been making me beat myself up. My mind goes crazy all the time overthinking. I have extreme anxiety and depression and I have crazy mood swings. I realize that I've been changing the way that I am and being angry for small things or I cry for super small things. I've also been having chest pains that I read is a side effect I would not recommend this pill and I'm deciding to go off as soon as my pack is up. I would not recommend it long term"

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "Like another user below, I was also on Lo-Ogestral since I was 17 for cramps and to regulate my period. I was getting it twice a month and it was so painful. About 3 years ago my local CVS started carrying only the generic version of it which is Cryselle. I'm now 24 and have had great experiences with both. My period is 3-4 days long with no cramps...if it didn't come the same day every month I couldn't even tell when its coming. My skin has never been better. I honestly had no idea people has such depression and mood swings from this pill. I've never felt any of that. I also lost about 20 pounds while taking cryselle, not from the pill itself but I worked out and ate healthy. So no weight gain."

Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I have been on this medication for a week after switching from my old pill. I was getting more and more nauseous each day until I woke up on the 7th morning of taking it to horrible nausea and vomiting. I will not be continuing to take this pill."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "Breakthrough bleeding all month for almost two years, extreme irritability, to the point that I came here to read others' moods when on this drug. Also, the PMS symptoms last all month long. I am only level headed when it's the week off. No sex drive, bloating, cramping, nausea, fatigue and really greasy hair. I am going to ask for a new pill. I tried to stay on this pill, but, it's bad in every way."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "This is my first birth control I have ever been on. I've been on this pill going on two years. It does its job in the field of preventing pregnancy. The only thing I dislike about it is I get very moody at times while on it, if I skip a pill and have to double up on it the next night I get a real bad headache! Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I have been on Cryselle for a year and 1 month and I love it. I used to get the worst acne on my chin but my face cleared up for the most part while on Cryselle.The first 1-2 weeks on it I was kind of nauseated and threw up once on the first week. I was irritable a bit the first 2 weeks. And my first period on it was painful. I started Cryselle because I had unpredictable painful periods & it really has worked my periods are light and only last 3-4 days. Almost no cramping, sometimes none. Plus I know when I'm getting my period and I'm able to make sure I am not on my period on important an important events. Plus it has protected me from getting pregnant ever since i became sexually active. First month is tough, after that it's amazing!"

Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I got switched to this pill because I was beginning to have severe cramps on my lutera pill. I liked this pill for the first 3 months as I noticed my boobs grew, my acne completely cleared up, and I my cramps were gone. However, during this time period I noticed about a 10 lb weight gain that only occurred while I was on the pill (I lost 8.7 pounds while on my sugar pills one week). I also noticed that I was really emotional and got upset about everything and I never cry, ever. I know everybody has different reactions to medications, but I would suggest not even trying this pill because the pros were not worth the cons."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "My doctor recommended I switch to this birth control about 2 months ago because of my worsening cramps on my period. This medication has worsened my anxiety, caused my depression to be through the roof, and made me break out with acne all over my face. My anxiety is so bad sometimes that I can’t even work up the courage to walk out of the door and go do things during the day. I had never struggled with acne in the past until I was put on this medication. Now I have acne scars and pimples all over my forehead that won’t go away even after getting medicine from a dermatologist. I am seeing my doctor on Friday to get off of this horrible birth control and get my life back on track. Do yourself a favor and NEVER go on this medication. It will make you hormonal and make you feel crazy."

After I stopped taking them I didn't have those issues anymore so you do the Math. If you don't want to feel like you're breaking down mentally, I would not recommend this product."

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I'm 18 and have been on Cryselle for around 3 years. I have 3-4 day periods that are generally pretty light and manageable. No weight gain or mood swings, but I've suffered from acne since I hit puberty and recently realized that my skin completely clears up during my placebo pill week. I really think that the hormones in Cryselle are what's been giving me such bad skin. Although I really like everything else about this pill, I'm switching to another next week that will hopefully improve my skin."

Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol / norgestrel) "I have been taking this pill for 7 months. The first 3 months were the worst as my body was adjusting and I was so bipolar and nauseous. Now...it honestly worsened my acne from mild to moderate painful cysts. No weight gain. But honestly this pill has left me an emotional wreck. If I'm not angry I am sad or easily irritated. Happiness is rare. And I break out even worse during my period in places I never even broke out before. Not the worst but not the best. Definitely switching pill brands."
