For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I just started these pills last month. I had a period for 5 days, and then 2 days later, I experienced heavy bleeding. This pill has been causing me to feel nauseated and having severe stomach pains. I do not recommend this prescription to anyone."

For Birth Control "I have only been on this birth control for almost a month. Immediately after the first few pills, my breasts began to get very tender, and they have definitely grown a bit. I'm having terrible stomach pains, bloating, nausea, I'm constantly sad. My acne got worse, but I haven't gained any weight. I've been spotting for about 2 days now, but I'm not supposed to start my period until next Friday. Hopefully, all is well, and it's just my body getting used to the hormones. However, if these symptoms do not clear up within the next month, I'm going to try to switch or just stay off of the pill. I'm going insane due to the fact that I feel like I'm pregnant, but I'm hoping it's just the birth control side effects."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Previfem for a month now. On the second day of being on the pill, I experienced constant nausea and stomach pain. When I got my period, the cramping became severe, almost unbearable, and my period lasted for 2 weeks. This pill is not for me."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Sprintec to Previfem by the company who ships my birth control (my insurance required them to be mailed). I have been on Sprintec for 5 years with no problems. I was on vacation with my fiancé when I started the first week of my new pills. All was good until the second week of taking these pills. I started to have horrible cramps, nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea, sore breasts, acne, and a very bad anxiety problem. I would compare it to pregnancy symptoms on steroids. I called the mailing company and asked why they suddenly switched when my prescription was specifically for Sprintec, and they couldn't answer me. Needless to say, I was in a panic until I found that other women had experienced the same thing."

For Birth Control "I personally do not like this pill. This is my second month of being on it. The first month was good, like normal. I noticed that my period was a day later than usual and that my period cramps were worse than before (I struggle with severe cramps at least 2 times a year). The moment I started my second month on this pill, all hell broke loose. Day 2, Monday, I felt so sick and had a massive headache that no matter what I took would not leave. Day 3, I still felt so sick to my stomach and still had a headache. I had to get Excedrin just to ease the headache. Since I started my second month, I have noticed: weight gain/bloating, sore breasts, more sensitivity to touch, headaches, no appetite, nausea, depression, no motivation, and lack of sex drive. After this month, I'm going back to my original pills, Falmina, I don't care if I have to pay for them. I would rather pay $14 than feel like rubbish every day. Take this pill at your own risk."

For Birth Control "Well, I see a lot of people saying they get nauseous in the first few days of starting birth control. That's normal. But every time I start a pack or miss by a few hours, I'm awful nauseous. I've not gotten pregnant, so that's good. Ever since I started this pill, I've had ovary/vagina pains. But I'm not sure if it is an ovarian cyst or if it's something different or if it just happened not related to the pill. I've got bad anxiety now and cry a lot. I was never like this before, but now I am. This isn't a bad pill, though. Works differently for everyone. The plus side is I used to have cramps to where I would cry. It would hurt so bad. Now I have about none, and my period is lighter."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about three months and have decided to stop taking the pill. I have had major mood swings while taking this pill, as well as being nauseated and just not feeling well. The pill is effective as a birth control, but the side effects were not worth having."

For Birth Control "I had many different side effects that I know are not normal. I just started this medication, and the side effects were horrible. Week 1, day 1 and 2, I started off abnormally tired and fatigued. Day 3, 4, 5, I was dizzy and had spells of hunger and being nauseous, randomly cried (at separate times) on top of being drowsy and overly tired. Day 6, 7, I got even more nauseous with cramping. Next week, day 1, I had to urinate/pee all the time! Day 2 randomly cried, couldn't control pee, plus had to pee all the time and hurt when I urinated. Day 3, all of those, plus vagina was itchy. Day 4 had to pee all the time, stung when I peed, vagina was itchy/burned. Day 5 I was super tired again and no burning/itching. NOT WORTH IT! Going to change meds."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Previfem going on my fourth month. I have noticed an increase in breast size, extra water weight, tenderness in breasts, along with nausea and headaches. It doesn't seem to be cooperating with my body, but I haven't gotten pregnant, which is good. I don't get pimples as much as I used to, and I'm more emotional. This is my first time on birth control, and I am not satisfied with it. I will be going back to my doctor for a change."

For Birth Control "I have been using this birth control for a little over 2 months now, and even though it has worked so far for preventing pregnancy, the side effects are terrible. I thought at first that I was just sick, but I would only feel sick an hour after the pill. I take it at night before bed, the nausea is so bad it affects my sleep. And the first thing that happens when I wake up is very painful cramps and even more nausea. I get very long and painful headaches, and my emotions are all over the place-from angry and annoyed to anxious, then sad and crying for no reason. Along with all that, my breasts are sore. Just putting on a bra makes me cringe. The best way to describe the symptoms of this pill is pregnancy symptoms on steroids. Not recommended!!!"

For Birth Control "I originally started this medication due to chronic migraines caused by hormonal imbalance. When I first started the pill, my acne had reached its worst. I told myself to stick it through, it was the only thing helping the prevention of my headaches and migraines. In the 3rd month, my skin completely cleared. My boobs went from just fitting a D 32 to DD 34! I gained no weight from it, still had my sex drive, and it did a very good job of keeping me from getting pregnant. It also made my period lighter, less painful, and 3 days shorter. I remained on the pill for about a year and a half before I started experiencing bad nausea every time I missed a pill, and I also got really bad anxiety in the end. Had to stop taking it eventually. Miss my boobs but not the nausea or anxiety."

For Birth Control "I rated this poorly because of the lack of response from my doctor. Shortly after starting Tri-Previfem, I developed multiple gastrointestinal issues. None of my doctors or nurses (ObGyn, GP) took me seriously and insisted it was in my head or the result of some other unrelated issue. I finally decided to stop taking it, and within a week, I was able to go through a day without feeling nauseous or vomiting. These types of side effects need to be discussed more because they can be debilitating."

For Acne "This BC helped with acne, but I also used Epiduo with it. The first month was great, no nausea or headaches (I'm prone to headaches). My acne was mild, and this pill helped clear it up a lot, along with Epiduo. The second month was where all the problems started. Within two days of the first week, I started getting headaches along with nausea and vomiting. It was awful, I threw up every night while taking this. I had a headache for four days straight as well. I'm not even to my second week of the second month of taking this, and I can't do it anymore, it's not worth it for me. My hormones are crazy, I'm not used to being so emotional and crying all the time. I wanted this pill to help clear up my mild acne, but I don't care anymore, this isn't worth it."

For Birth Control "I really hate this birth control. I have taken others and had no side effects or anything go wrong, but this pill has basically ruined my social life. I have been taking it for a little over a month, and since the second I started taking it, I have had my period. I have no sex drive and constant bleeding. I have noticed I'm super moody, and for the first week, it made me sick to my stomach, and I stopped eating because of how it made me feel. I hate this pill, but my doctor makes it difficult to switch."

For Birth Control "First of all, the worst side effect for me is the constant yeast infections. Never had one in my life until I started this pill, now I will have one constantly, cured for a week, then it returns with a vengeance. So dry down there, to the point where my partner and I had tension about one of us unknowingly carrying an STD (neither of us were). Absolute horrific mood swings, you will become a completely different person. Nausea. Sweating. Weight gain. All of the things you don't want. It took me 3 months to realize this pill was the source of my misery. Do yourself a favor and stop it, there are so many better options out there, ladies! Best of luck x o."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for over three weeks, and the side effects are horrible. I've gained 10 lbs in just these three weeks. I've been bloating really bad and thought I was pregnant. I originally got on this pill for mainly my acne, and the pill made it worse. I've woken up with terrible migraines and being nauseous. My mood swings are bad, and sometimes I'm depressed because of the weight gain. I couldn't ride my horse, the soreness of my breasts was terrible. I'm thinking about getting off this pill and trying a different one."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS. There's no other way to put it. I've been on it for going on five months, and ever since day one, it has been awful. I've become severely depressed, I cry all the time, I feel nauseous 24/7. My anxiety has gone through the roof. I feel like my whole life has changed for the worse ever since I started this medicine."

For Acne "I am currently on the third month of this birth control and will be ending it after the pack is finished. I originally went on this to clear my chin breakouts, which would not go away. My chin is now clear (with some scarring), but both of my cheeks have been breaking out on and off since I've started this. I would say the trade-off for the clear chin is not worth it. I'm not sure if I've gained any weight, but I did experience some mild nausea. My periods were already consistent, and this did not change that. I would not recommend this to someone unless they have very bad acne because the initial breakout (which for me has refused to end) is probably much worse than what you are dealing with now."

For Acne "I've been on this birth control for only two weeks. The only positive thing that's come out of it is my boobs are growing. But literally on only the second pill, I was throwing up. I take the pill at 6:30 am a little after breakfast because that's literally the only time that I can because I'm so busy, and by 11:00 am I'm nauseous and vomiting until about 1:00 in the afternoon. More recently, some days are great, but others are terrible. On top of that, my boyfriend and I have gotten into fights lately because of the anxiety that this pill is giving me. I'm just worried about everything lately now, and it's pushing him away. The whole reason I got on this pill was for him and me to be able to have more sex, but it's also killing my sex drive."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill due to mild acne and discomfort during menstruation-namely cramps and bloating. My acne has noticeably improved, as has my cramping! My periods are finally regular and predictable, with less bleeding! The main side effect I have dealt with is nausea during the first week of the pills, which is usually remedied by taking a Tums or a mint. I have not experienced any weight gain or decrease in sex drive."

For Birth Control "Tried 3 different birth controls over the past year and finally felt like this one worked. It fixed my bleeding problems and regulated my cycle. Month by month I started noticing the nausea getting worse and worse. Now, after 4 months on this pill, I've decided to stop taking it because it makes me sick as a dog. My breasts are tender almost all of the time, and my sex drive has basically vanished. Wish there was something out there that worked for me, but this is definitely not it."

For Birth Control "I started with Sprintec, and it seemed fine. Then they switched to Previfem. I have horrible vaginal discharge almost every day, I have cramps sometimes almost as bad as before I went on the pill. My period lasts just as long as before, 5 days, and is still super heavy. I do have unprotected sex with my boyfriend and haven't gotten pregnant yet, so that's a plus. More cons: more emotional, sometimes chest pain, nausea. I'm ready to quit. Only pro: can predict when the period is coming and not being pregnant."

For Birth Control "Love Tri-Previfem! The first week, I'll have to admit, it made me pretty nauseous, I actually lost a few pounds. But after that first week, I've been fine. So far, I haven't gained any weight, it actually seems to curb my cravings, which is great! Also, my sex drive has been wonderful! I haven't had any crazy mood swings or bouts of depression, and my breasts have grown a whole cup size (again, without weight gain anywhere else!). All in all, I really love this BC, I was on Nuvaring before this, and it made me completely nuts."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on for a week. I've experienced every side effect on the list, from nausea, a queasy feeling in my stomach, minor acne, excessive sleeping, no appetite. Looking at food makes me feel sick, almost like I'm pregnant again. Moody and no energy, almost feeling weak. I have to take 3 at a time to stop and regulate my cycle due to an abnormal cycle that lasted 6 months after my pregnancy. I'm already thinking about changing it. I think the side effects are too much, and the comments about this BC method are no good. But at the end of the day, everybody is different."
