For Birth Control "This birth control worked well for me for about a year and a half. After I hit that mark, it was like my body did not agree with it anymore. I became extremely bloated and irritable, have mood swings, and have a very low tolerance for anything that annoyed me. I got a terrible headache like clockwork on the last day of the placebo pills. It may work for you, but I will be switching to something else. I did not have any pregnancy scares, so it worked in that aspect, but how it affected me mentally and physically was not worth it."

For Ovarian Cysts "Every month, I’m in bed with my heating pad, crying for days because the pain is so intense. My ovarian cysts began to burst a few years ago, so my old gyno put me on three different birth controls, I couldn’t tell you the names because it’s been so long, but none of them worked. My new gyno put me on Tri-Lo-Sprintec last month, and it’s honestly been a game changer. I have no pain except for the first couple of days of my period, but it’s NOWHERE near the pain I used to be in. I haven’t had an increase in mood swings, anxiety, or depression at all, I’ve been much more calm actually. The only problem I’ve had is the acne. My skin is normally VERY clear except for the week leading up to my period, but I’ve had consistent acne. It’s controllable but annoying, so I told my gyno, and she switched me to Mili. Hopefully, the transition’s smooth!"

For Birth Control "When I was 18, the first time I saw a gyno, she prescribed me Tri-Lo-Sprintec. She gave me a packet of Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which I think the pharmacist said was basically the same thing. For both, I had no problem. To start off, I never really had bad cramps or anything major, and I definitely didn't feel anything after starting birth control. After the price for Tri-Lo-Sprintec went up, I got off of it. I am about to go on Tri-Sprintec, which my doctor said is just a little higher dosage, so that's probably where all those other symptoms come from (nausea, mood swings, acne, weight gain). As for everyone else who has been experiencing these symptoms, they are also very common when you PMS, except for the nausea, but mainly I think it's psychological."

For Birth Control "I have had a consistent period, and the symptoms of PMS have significantly decreased. However, I have been more emotionally affected around that time of month."

For Birth Control "This Tri-Lo-Sprintec pill is absolutely horrible. It gives you horrible headaches, random periods, and constant mood swings. It doesn’t help any with cramps at all. I would not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I am 33 years old, never taken any pills my entire life. I don't want any more kids, but I'm not ready to get my tubes tied. I asked my doctor to put me on pills to give it a try. My RX was for Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, but my insurance copay was $120, and the pharmacy gave me Tri-Lo-Sprintec for no copay. My goodness, just in 3 days of taking the pills, I have severe migraines, nausea, my breasts are sore, hair loss, mood swings, I crave food mostly at nighttime, my face was covered with bumpy whiteheads, especially my jaw area, which I don't get at all. I am stopping the pills before it gets worse. I was going to wait to finish the pack since I am on the 16th day, but I can't take any more of these weird changes to my body. I'm going to switch or I might get tied."
