For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 43 years old and have been on several different birth controls in the past. I have not had to be on them for years as my husband had a vasectomy. I started this pill to help with painful, heavy periods at the recommendation of my doctor. On week three of my first pack, I have bled more and had worse cramps than before I started. Debilitating pain that has left me unable to even go to work. (I had natural labor twice that was less painful than this.) Needless to say, this is the worst birth control I have ever been on."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!! I've been taking this pill for about 9 months ever since they switched me from Trinessa lo. At first, everything was fine, I had no side effects and no symptoms. But as of recently, in the past 3 months, I noticed I began to break out all over my face with cystic acne. (My face has been clear my whole life.) There's acne all over my cheeks, chin, and jawline, and it's not clearing up. Not to mention, I get migraines at least 5 out of the 7 days in the week. Bad cramps, excessive discharge, vaginal discomfort, and no sex drive whatsoever. I know everyone's body reacts differently, but I'm stopping this pill now before something worse happens, and I suggest you do the same."

For Birth Control "Ok—I’ve been on this pill for 6 weeks, and I thought it was just me. I’m nauseous every time I take it, I cramp like crazy, and I’m eating and gaining a ridiculous amount of weight, which leaves me feeling bloated and sluggish. No, I’m not blaming it all on the pill, but I took Tri-Cyclen Lo for years, and after my daughter, I went on the Nexplanon for 3 years. My original plan was to go natural and practice abstinence, but I chickened out. That’s the direction I’m headed now because this pill has my body all out of whack."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on Ortho Tricyclen Lo for more than 5 years, but my insurance no longer covers it; therefore, my doctor put me on Tri-Lo-Sprintec since there was no copay. I was only on Sprintec for 2 months, and oh boy, it was bad! I received cysts, more whiteheads than before, headaches, was extra moody, fatigue, and all that negative side effects. The worst were the cramps during my period. It was very painful with heavy bleeding. I couldn't walk because it hurt that bad. The period lasted 5-7 days. I haven't been on Sprintec for 3 months, but my period has never been the same since taking it. When I was on Ortho Tricyclen Lo, it calmed my acne, shorter and lighter periods, no cramps, no fatigue. It's too bad my insurance doesn't cover Ortho Tricyclen Lo :("

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me over to this from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and this is the worst thing I have ever taken. At first, I was experiencing spotting immediately after being an hour late in taking my pill. It was so bad the first month, I spotted for a week and then got my period the next with horrible cramps and headaches. I have been on it for three months now, and I have spotted every month. This month I got my period for two days over a week before I was supposed to. In addition to this, I have been experiencing crazy anger and mood swings for the first time. To the point where I got mad at my boyfriend for trying to plan a vacation with me and then cried immediately afterward. I have also had some pain in my ovaries and broke out more than ever."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me over to this from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and this is the worst thing I have ever taken. At first, I was experiencing spotting immediately after being an hour late in taking my pill. For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Lo-Sprintec for almost 3 months. While quite a few others have had bad experiences on it, my experience has been amazing. My acne isn’t as horrible as it was (every now and then it’ll flare up when I take the placebos, though), and cramps (which is what I take it for) have been a piece of cake since starting. Usually, I would need to constantly use a heating pad, and I needed the maximum amount of Tylenol that I could take safely, but out of the almost 3 months, I've only needed to take pain meds once and haven't even needed a heating pad. All in all, even though it's risky, it's definitely worth a shot!"

For Birth Control "I was taking Trinessa Lo for about 3 years (with no side effects) until it was discontinued, and I was switched to the Tri-Lo-Sprintec. I've been taking it for about 9 months now, and I think I'm going to stop due to its horrible side effects. I've been bleeding for over two weeks (mid-cycle), cramping, having mood swings, and worst of all, I've been experiencing an increase in intensity and frequency of migraines. Even when I'm well rested and stay away from 'triggers,' I wake up with a migraine that gets worse throughout the day! I forgot to mention that I also feel nauseous on a regular basis. I started experiencing all these symptoms within the last few months and didn't realize until recently that I had been switched over to a new pill (I assumed that my old pill had just changed packaging)."

The breast tenderness lasted the entire 5 months I was on this pill, and my cramps got worse. The cramps were so bad that sometimes I wasn’t able to fall asleep or do certain things. I would experience random spotting and bleeding in the middle of the pack or right before placebo pills. There were some months where I would skip the placebo pills so I wouldn’t get a period, but still bled and had severe cramping. It did help my acne, but gave me horrible mood swings. I would become super angry at one moment and then super sad for no reason. I was VERY emotional, I would often cry on this pill. I noticed that it also made me isolate myself and took away my motivation to do things. The good things about this pill are that it helped my acne and never made me gain weight. I actually lost a little weight on this pill and was able to maintain the same weight for 5 months."

For Birth Control "Wow, I am so thankful I heard they had changed the formula a couple of years back! My first day, I had major headaches, but the severe cramping from my last BC subsided, so I was already pleased. My mood was noticeably more at peace, and after several days, I felt way more self-confident! I did get tired and had more body aches the first week because it kick-started my period, but I had light bleeding and zero cramping! This BC seems to be great so far. I also feel my boobs swelling, meaning... perhaps my measly little A-cup will look bigger soon? No matter though, my boyfriend is so happy my moods have stabilized! I say anyone struggling with minor anxiety, mood swings, or depression should try this out."

For Birth Control "The first month I was on this birth control, it wasn't too bad, other than some nausea because I was adjusting to the birth control. I just finished my third month on it, and the past two months have been terrible. I have anxiety almost every day, and I can't even remember the last time I got decent sleep. My periods have been the worst I've ever experienced (and I'm irregular when not on birth control-so when I do get a period, it's bad). The cramping is unimaginable, and I pretty much can't sleep at all in the days leading up to and during my period. As soon as I finish this pack, my doctor wants me to stop."
