For Birth Control "So I was originally on Junel FE, but that was a horror show with all the mood swings, bleeding, acne, and just horrible nausea. I lost 11 pounds on that, so beware. Anyway, once I told my doctor, she prescribed this. The first pack caused some nausea, a small breakout, and just an odd feeling. Once I got that under my belt, I've had no problems! I'm on my fourth pack starting today, and it's been great. Clear face, light periods, and doesn't make me gain weight. However, I must say around the placebo week, I get so bloated, horrible cramps, and headaches... otherwise, it's been great. So the effectiveness of it, I haven't gotten pregnant yet, knock on wood. Just keep taking the pill at the correct time, and you'll be fine!"

For Birth Control "Oh God, no. Do not get this birth control. It does fine with preventing pregnancy and stuff, but I have never broken out so bad in my life. I have a great skincare routine, and I never really had major breakouts-just one here and there-but my whole face lit up like a Christmas tree, and I am so dry and itchy. I can’t believe the acne it gave me. Never, ever again."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill since January (it is now July), and sadly, I've developed cystic acne from it, and now I'm on Accutane. If I would have realized sooner that it was the culprit, I would have stopped immediately. I took this pill in the first place for my acne only. I was someone who had moderate acne, and this cystic acne has made me so depressed. If you notice changes in your skin 4/5 months in that aren't good, I would say to change your pill. My problem is that I read reviews saying it would get better, and it just gradually got worse. I also read reviews that said your skin would get used to it before it got better, and that wasn't true for me at all. Save yourself before it gets worse definitely. Wish I could put pictures of my acne here :("

For Birth Control "I have been sensitive to several birth control pills, including Tri-Lo-Sprintec, which is supposed to be the same thing. On that one, I bled for 3 weeks straight in the middle of a pack. This one has worked wonderfully for me, and I have had no issues with acne or mood swings like I have with others. I do think every birth control works differently for everyone, so never take what one person says positively or negatively from a review!"

For Birth Control "After being on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for over a year, my pharmacy switched me to Tri-Lo-Sprintec, and as with others, I was 'assured' this was the same exact drug that I had been taking. Well, after the first pack, my face has been breaking out throughout the month. In my second month, my period was MUCH more painful (one of the reasons I went on BC to begin with), and I bled for almost a full week instead of my normal 4-5 days. By the third month, I noticed my anxiety and abdominal cramping at all times of my cycle flaring up. Mood swings galore and a period that lasted more than 7 days. :( Spoke with my PCP, and she agreed to switch back to brand name only, and I am hopeful that it will all resolve and that other ladies see these reviews too!"

For Birth Control "This is hands down the worst birth control I've ever been on!! I've never been so bloated, exhausted, and miserable. I've gotten horrible pains in my ovaries, not to mention my stomach is a mess. I've also broken out like crazy! I've called my insurance company and I'm going to pay $50 a month to go back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen because I never want to feel like this again. This definitely isn't the same as Ortho Tri-Cyclen. If you have a choice, I suggest picking any other birth control besides Tri-Lo-Sprintec!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this for going on my second month because my pharmacy has been out of my usual brand (Tri Cyclen Lo) for the past 2 months, and I’ve noticed my face has broken out really bad, like not normal, and I’ve had really bad mood swings. My first period on this pill was barely anything, and it was 2 days early, and not normal! I would not suggest this pill at all!"

For Birth Control "I couldn't help but write a review on this medication. STAY CLEAR OF IT if you are struggling with acne. I used birth control for pregnancy prevention and control of acne. I started this medication, and my skin was the worst it has ever been in my life. I gave it 5 months, and I have cystic acne on my chin that is still clearing up. I will never use this pill again and would not recommend it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for almost a year, and it’s been good. I don’t think my mood has changed a lot. I also haven’t gained weight or gotten acne! I was really worried about those two. The only problem is that I’m having two-week-long periods, and that’s been going on for about 5 months, and I don’t know if that’s normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Before the pill, I took the Depo shot and had irregular bleeding too."

For Birth Control "I have only been on this birth control for about 2 months. I used to take birth control a year ago but stopped and then started again. So far, I have not seen any huge problems. Ladies, even though sometimes a birth control doesn’t work for someone else, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you! I think the most noticeable change was I had a little bit more acne within the first month. My first period I had with it I think was a little lighter than usual, but not by much. I tend to have heavy periods, so hopefully my periods become lighter. I have pretty bad anxiety, but honestly nothing has changed since being on the pill, still the same, not better, not worse. Which is fine with me. I had noticed in my lower region I did gain some stretch marks, and when I did backtracking, I realized they did start to appear when I started the birth control. I started this pill because my boyfriend and I started having sex. So far, not pregnant. It has only been a month though. (Knock on wood)."

For Birth Control "This birth control worked well for me with minimal side effects. It did not give me acne, and my periods were short and light with minimal cramping. No hair loss, loss of sex drive, or nausea. My only symptoms were constant bloating, weight gain (15 lbs in 7 months), and a constant insatiable appetite. I can say that it helped stabilize my mood, I experienced no major mood swings or outbursts. My insurance recently switched me to Tri-Lo-Marzia, and while I’m enjoying this pill (weight loss, less of an appetite, no bloating), it is causing some major mood changes. I know there is a pill out there for me, but I don’t think either of these are it. If your pharmacy tells you these medications are the same, don’t listen."

For Birth Control "Had Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for many years. Pharmacy switched to this generic prescription. Horrible spotting between periods, acne, bloating, hives, and missed period. Called doctor to switch back to my normal pill, Ortho."

For Birth Control "Don't worry, ladies. I'm one of the apparent few who don't have a bad experience! I feel fine, no acne, no weight gain, no nausea. So if you're thinking about it, just give it a try, it works differently for everyone!"

"I quit taking this Tri-Lo-Sprintec pill after 3 days! Caused me to get back/chest acne, and it’s so painful. I have been breaking out badly on my chin, and it’s not worth taking it. I will be finding a natural solution to my problem (irregular periods). Please listen to the reviews! I wish I did!"

For Birth Control "I was on other birth controls several years ago, but I stopped taking it when I had weight gain and more acne. I asked my doctor for one that could help with acne, and he prescribed Tri-Lo-Sprintec. I have been on it for around a year and I love it! It cleared up my skin and I rarely get any acne, and it decreases my appetite. I never had any major changes in period lengths or heaviness, if anything, it made me have more stomach cramps. Everyone finds their perfect birth control, and this one was mine! I suggest you try it if you’re on the fence!"

For Birth Control "I have been using Tri-Sprintec Lo for about 2 weeks after switching from the NuvaRing. I have had many symptoms from it. I have been breaking out with acne on my chest and a few on my face, which I never had a problem with any acne before. I have had breast tenderness, occasional cramps, and a few headaches. I have also noticed that my hair has been shedding a lot more than usual and noticed that it is a bad side effect. I would rather have these symptoms than the ones I had with the NuvaRing. I was having something similar to hot flashes. I am going to call my doctor today and ask about it. I am going to try this one for about 2 months like I did the NuvaRing, and if it doesn't change, then I will try something else."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for about five years. It was fantastic, no problems at all. My insurance switched me to Tri-Lo-Sprintec and initially I was excited because it's fully covered. The first month was fine, and then the breakouts started. They have gradually gotten worse. I gave it six months to see if things would settle down, but they haven't at all. I'm broken out on my chest, back, all up my neck and behind my ears, along my jaw and forehead. I even had a huge zit on my earlobe this week. These are not normal breakouts. I'm so disappointed in this generic and I'm switching."

For Birth Control "When I first started Tri-Lo-Sprintec, I had serious acne for the first month, and then my skin cleared. However, it made my period bleeding severe to the point of uncontrollable, and I would experience nausea to the point of throwing up. I never realized it was the pill until I was off it for a few months. I’ve tried to return to the pill since I experienced clear skin and no weight gain the first time around, but 2 months in, my chin and forehead acne are the worst they’ve ever been. I’ve never struggled with cystic acne until this pill. I’m nauseous for days at a time, I’ve gained 10 lb after being the same weight for 3 years, and I’ve been menstruating for a few weeks now after spotting consistently. I will be trying other pills in hopes that they can have fewer side effects. The first time around, it was tolerable, but my body seems to absolutely hate this pill now."

For Birth Control "So after getting off the Mirena because of an infection, I was practically done with IUDs. So I needed a new form of birth control. So my doctor prescribed me this. And let me tell you, it was the worst decision. Tri-Lo-Sprintec gave me the WORST acne. Never in my life have I had acne. I was lucky to be blessed with practically perfect skin. And once I went on this, my skin just erupted. I told my doctor, and she said give it 2-3 months for my body to adjust to the hormones, and I did. And my acne just got worse and worse. Then I decided to stop because I couldn't take it anymore, and once I stopped, my acne started to go away. Now I'm left with acne scars that I have to get rid of. Do not go on this birth control. It will ruin your skin."

For Birth Control "Biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my entire life. Tri-Lo-Sprintec helps with preventing pregnancy, but that’s it. It gave me horrendous acne that was painful, cystic, and now I am on Accutane because of it. The depression was life-threatening, and I decided to stop, and my mental state immediately got better. Acne got a little better, but the hormones really ruined my skin. Never try this. Not worth the risk."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Trinessa for years, and I loved it! I suffer from adult hormonal acne, and I found that medication to work wonders for my skin. Two months ago, I was switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec without any warning. Without altering my daily routine and diet (I’m pretty active and healthy), in just two months, I have put on quite a bit of weight, I've lost so much hair, and to make matters even worse, my acne flares have never been so horrific! I’m experiencing giant cysts all over my chin, cheeks, and back, which are taking forever to heal! I have never been so disappointed in a medication before. It didn’t work for me at all! I stopped taking it in hopes of some relief to my breakouts, and my skin started clearing up FINALLY within a week of being off! And in a week, I am already losing the weight I gained. I wouldn’t recommend. I am wondering now should I be on the Tri-Sprintec (generic of Trinessa) not the Tri-Lo-Sprintec (generic of TriNessa Lo)."

For Birth Control "I have been on birth control for about 4 years of my life now. I've been on the NuvaRing and Microgestin. Never had any side effects with those, but I've dealt with acne for a really long time, so I decided to switch to a birth control that could help with that. I was on it for a couple of months, didn't notice any side effects at first, and my acne wasn't getting any better or worse (I didn't expect it to start working right away, obviously), but by the end of the second month, oh boy. I experienced horrible depression, I would cry for no reason, had no energy or motivation to do anything. I was very irritable, and I had my period for 10 days straight. With that being said, I decided to stop taking that. I never write reviews, but I also want the person reading this to keep in mind, our bodies are different, this birth control might be amazing for you. Just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!! I've been taking this pill for about 9 months ever since they switched me from Trinessa lo. At first, everything was fine, I had no side effects and no symptoms. But as of recently, in the past 3 months, I noticed I began to break out all over my face with cystic acne. (My face has been clear my whole life.) There's acne all over my cheeks, chin, and jawline, and it's not clearing up. Not to mention, I get migraines at least 5 out of the 7 days in the week. Bad cramps, excessive discharge, vaginal discomfort, and no sex drive whatsoever. I know everyone's body reacts differently, but I'm stopping this pill now before something worse happens, and I suggest you do the same."

For Birth Control "After trying the implant and being on Depo, my hormones were insane! I went crazy, was depressed, gained a bunch of weight, terrible acne. I finally switched over to this BC, and it’s the only one that has ever worked for me. I have no side effects, I’m back to my normal self. It has helped with my skin so much."

For Birth Control "I was on Trinessa Lo and got switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec since Trinessa Lo has been discontinued. Honestly, what is this? Like some other reviews mentioned, I start to bleed around week 3 of the pack, before the placebo. And the blood is really bright red, it looks abnormal. I don't understand what's happening to my body with this pill. I definitely have been way more emotional than usual. The one month where I managed to not bleed until my actual placebo, I had the worst cramps in my life (I've never been a crampy type), and I just felt miserable. After month 4 of being on this mess, I'm looking for something else because this pill needs to be taken off the market. Low sex drive, unusual bleeding, hormones acting up - it's too much. Only thing, my acne has gotten better. But not worth it!"
