For Birth Control "Pros of this pill were that my skin cleared up completely within four months, and I didn't get pregnant! Had some nausea and mood swings in the first few months, but nothing crazy. Unfortunately, this birth control caused one more serious side effect for me called vaginal atrophy. I saw three gynos before seeing a specialist who determined that Sprintec made my estrogen drop and the vaginal tissue was atrophying. Yikes. Had lots of infections, pain, itching... super not fun and now I'm off it. If you start having these symptoms after being on it for a month or two, then just stop taking it and save yourself the trouble."

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec, but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "First birth control I have ever tried, and I love it so far. I've been on it for a few months. I noticed on here it has a lot of negative reviews, like people say everyone's body is different. Just as insight, I'm 19 years old and around 155 pounds. This birth control did not make me gain or lose weight. I noticed I haven't gotten as much acne since I started. My skin is almost completely clear. The only negative side effect that I really noticed and that my bf noticed as well is that I've gotten more irritable and emotional around the days I'm about to get my period, something that didn't happen to me before. Honestly, this isn't a terrible side effect for me personally, it's extremely bearable. I would definitely recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I've tried 5 different brands of birth control pills over the past 8 years, but I've finally found the one. Although I experienced some horrible nausea during the first 2 months, I've always been susceptible to nausea when starting a new brand of BCP, so I know to wait at least 3 months for your body to stabilize. I'm now on my 4th month of TriNessa and I feel GREAT. No more nausea, no more mood swings - just crazy clear skin and a babyless womb. Best of all though, and the reason I gave up on all the other brands I've tried: TriNessa does not make me depressed. The other BCP made me suicidal and anxiety-ridden from the moment I started them. Ladies, our bodies are different but don't lose hope on the BCP that's perfect for you."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for 5 years and love it. I never had any side effects. I took Loestrin first and hated it, bad mood swings and increased appetite, so I immediately switched to Sprintec and was completely happy. I recently had to switch to a new pill due to spotting between periods."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sprintec for a month now. The first week and a half I started taking it, I had the worst mood swings (crying profusely, suicidal thoughts, depression), but that was it really. Those feelings only lasted that long. The only times I felt nauseous was if I didn't eat a meal at all before or after taking the pill. (I believe if you eat a good-sized meal right before or right after taking it, you'll be fine). My breasts feel slightly sore and are a bit more rounded and full now (which I'm curious to see if they get to another cup size, me being a 32A right now). I feel like this pill is effective and the side effects are mild and not too bad."

For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec was the first birth control pill I used. I chose it because I was told it would help with acne. (And obviously as a contraceptive). At first, Tri-Sprintec was good for me, it helped my acne (it didn't completely go away), and my boobs got bigger! And well, I wasn't pregnant. However, after two months, I began to notice myself having mood swings. This was so strange for me because I am such a relaxed, chill person. I couldn't ignore that I was moody. Little irrelevant things that happened with my boyfriend would make me very sad/mad, and well, I don't think I've ever cried as much as I did when I was on this. It was beginning to interfere with my relationship, so I stopped taking it. This was just me, so it may be different for you."

For Birth Control "I started Tri-Sprintec a month ago, not by choice but because that was the only thing the health department had in their inventory. The nurse told me it was exactly the same as the other pills. I could definitely tell a difference in myself, though, just after starting them! My emotions were out of control, and I kept going into deep depression mode! My appetite was pretty much gone too, so I wasn't eating. A good tip is to keep a journal once you start a new pill, so you can keep track of breakdowns, mood swings, and how often they're happening. I had a breakdown at work, crying in front of my boss and everything. I decided to stop the pill, and since then, I've felt great."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Don’t miss a pill when on Tri-Lo-Marzia. I swear if I miss a pill or take it too late, I’ll be spotting freaky-looking black clots and discharge until week 4 when I get my period where the gates go from just a crack to wide-hecking-open. But if I do everything right, it is a GODSEND. Severe cramps gone, no more mood swings, and a WAY MORE regular cycle. So yeah, set an alarm on your phone or something to take it, and it’ll be fine."

For Acne "I was very skeptical about trying this pill because it is a generic, and I have heard negative things about it. I have been on it for two months, and so far, no weight gain, no nausea, no mood swings, or any other of the reported side effects. The best part about this pill is that it completely cleared up my cystic acne after only a few weeks. I have been on a couple of other pills with horrible side effects. Find the pill that works best with your body. This one seems to work best with mine."

For Birth Control "Estarylla is the first brand of birth control I tried, and I'm finally changing my BC pills now. I hate the way these pills made me feel. At first, I didn't realize what was going on with me, I was thinking I'm going crazy in my own head. Severe mood swings, I felt depressed all the time. My anxiety got WAY worse. I'm finally getting off these pills. The good part is my period got regular, and my cramps are not as bad, but I can't do Estarylla anymore. I do not recommend this brand to any girl. If you want to stay happy and enjoy your life."

For Birth Control "The first year of being on Tri-Sprintec, I did great. The second year has been rough. Bad anxiety, depression, and I'm just so freaking tired all the time, some days it takes everything I can do to just make it through an 8-hour shift and make it back to my bed. I've always been a very energetic person until this past year. I also haven't had a sex drive in forever, it seems like. And these mood swings, I can't even deal with. I've really been struggling the past year. Never really thought that it was the birth control doing all these crazy things to me."

For Acne "I am 18 years old, and my dermatologist prescribed TriNessa for acne. I have taken it for 3 months. I have experienced pretty much every side effect on the list. I feel nauseous for every day on the first week of the pack and on most other days too! I have only gained a few pounds because of the extreme increase in appetite, but I've lost the weight since. My breasts have grown a whole cup size, even though I was already a D. And my breasts are always sore to the touch. I have occasional mood swings that make me very sad at times. On the bright side, my acne has gotten significantly better, and my hair is shiny and grows really fast! Also, my insurance completely covers it, it is literally $0! That's a plus as well!"

For Birth Control "I have been using this birth control for over a year, and it has proven to be perfect. The first 3 weeks I was taking it, I had pretty bad mood swings, but this is expected, and they quit happening around the time I started my second cycle of pills. I had irregular periods and bad cramping; both of those problems were fixed once again by the second month of pills. My flow was much lighter for a shorter amount of days (and you still have a period every month, which allows your body to still clean itself out). As a contraceptive, it is my only method of birth control, and I'm not pregnant yet, so it's doing its job there. Never had acne, but I break out less often. Basically, this is a great pill."

For Birth Control "Tri-Lo-Marzia totally got rid of my sex drive. Before I got on this pill, I had a very high sex drive. Within a month of being on Tri-Lo-Marzia, I physically could not get aroused even when I wanted to. It made my vagina dry. I could literally tell the blood flow to my genitals had decreased. It's effective at preventing pregnancy because you will no longer want to have sex. It also gave me extreme mood swings and anxiety every month during the week 3 pills. On a positive note, I could not tell any changes with my acne or weight. I did not experience any spotting between periods, but it did make my cramps worse and flow slightly heavier. 27 years old, 160 lbs. Light periods lasting 4-5 days."

For Birth Control "I have only been using Estarylla for a month now, and within this month, it has been the WORST! It has dried my skin, especially my hands and around my mouth. I have been spotting this whole time, and it has caused BAD mood swings. I have gone into deep depression, had really dark thoughts. My attitude has been horrible, especially my emotions. I'll cry after having a moment of dark thoughts, and it's just a cycle. I have lost my appetite. The medicine has given me a yeast infection as well. Everybody's body is different, but I do not recommend this medication."

For Birth Control "This birth control is absolutely atrocious! I started taking it about 2 months ago, and I have never felt worse. My nipples are so sensitive and hurt so bad. I have such terrible gas, and I am so bloated. I get incredibly nauseous and even throw up sometimes. I was on Larissa before this, and I have never gotten worse side effects. I have no motivation to do anything, my mood swings are off the roof. Do not recommend this at all!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 months now. The first three months were awful, but now I really love my birth control. At first, I was having awful mood swings, depression, and random crying spells. I stuck with the pill, and then after getting married in December, all my bad symptoms subsided. My acne has gone away, and I’ve never had skin this clear! My periods are very manageable, and I can control my period if I want to. So far, no pregnancy, but I’m super religious about taking my pills on time and try to use backup prevention when on antibiotics. I completely sympathize with all the ladies who have put reviews on here, but thankfully my symptoms have gone away, and I’m going to stick to this pill. Best wishes!"

For Birth Control "I started birth control pretty recently. My doctor switched me over to Mono-Linyah since the dosage of my first birth control was too high for me. I've been on Mono-Linyah for two months now, and I liked it at first. It didn't cause weight gain, cleared up my skin, but the mood swings Mono-Linyah caused are almost out of control. Besides that, I'm always tired. I can't wait to finish this month's pack and stop taking it altogether."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, my acne immediately cleared up. I've never had clear skin in my life! My breasts are larger, and I've had a little weight gain, but I'm SO emotional, and I have little to no sex drive, which has its effects on my husband and me. It's cheap, and insurance covers it. I'd keep taking it if I didn't have issues with my lack of desire for sex."

For Birth Control "Before I had another birth control, and my hormones were through the roof and made me depressed really bad. I switched to this brand because of a lower dose of hormones. So far, this brand is working for me! (NO baby yet.) I have been using this for about half a year, if not a year already. I had missed periods, very late periods, and mild mood swings (nothing major) though. Acne is pretty bad, which I don't like about it. My appetite decreased majorly. I lost so much weight because of it. (Even if I eat regularly.) I'm 21 years old and was 123 lbs, now I'm 116.5 lbs exact. My sex drive increased a little bit that I noticed, but pretty much the same, I think. Other than that, this brand works for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Linyah for about a year and a half now, and for the first year, I had no symptoms at all. My skin got better, no weight gain. But these past six months have been terrible. I've had EXTREME mood swings-like fine one hour and the next, I'm full of anger and sadness. I've been crying over the simplest things and getting anxious and sad before bedtime. I look forward to my period week because I know I'll feel like myself again for that week. It's been making my relationships struggle, and I'm about to quit it because the side effects definitely aren't worth it."

For Birth Control "I'm getting married and was prescribed Sprintec as a form of birth control. The side effects seem to run the gamut from 'it gave me terrific mood swings!' to 'I was so sick!' I seem to be fortunate in that I experienced absolutely no negative side effects. My sex drive has increased slightly, but otherwise, my body tolerates it extremely well."

It causes no mood swings or weight gain for me. Overall, it works great and is very affordable; my insurance covers all of it, but even without insurance, it's only $9/month."

For Birth Control "I am just finishing my first pack of VyLibra, and I don’t really have too many complaints. My acne has cleared, I actually lost weight instead of gained, and my period is very light now. At first, I was experiencing weird abdominal cramps, but they eventually went away. The emotional sensitivity has been a little extra recently, but I’m already a sensitive person, so it hasn’t been bad for me. I can't really complain about it, it’s been pretty good so far."
