For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for exactly one year, and only up until this month have I had problems. Throughout the duration, I got more moody and felt more depressed the week before and two days into my period. I get excess yeast exactly one week after my period on the first week of my pill, and lately, I've been experiencing nausea. It's manageable, just very irritating. My doctor suggested I switch to 'Lolo,' but besides that, this pill was very easy, and the side effects didn't last long. They just gave me bad cramps instead of reducing it."

For Birth Control "For the first few months, everything was okay, and I had no symptoms at all. The past few weeks have been bad, though, because I've been getting spotting, nausea, vomiting, cramps, and mood swings. My friend has been taking this birth control for 6 years and has recently stopped taking it due to similar symptoms. Not quite sure what to think of this B.C. anymore."

For Birth Control "I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen because this is what I received from the health department for free when I didn't have insurance and was a poor full-time student. I was taking this for about 4 years. The best thing about it is that I never got pregnant. However, I had extremely heavy periods lasting 5-6 days until it was finished completely; painful cramps, spotting lightly at times, spotting heavily; mood swings; fatigue, and recurrent yeast infections. I finally made it back to my regular OBGYN after getting insurance again, and she placed me on Beyaz. So far, so good."

"I'm on my third month of this pill. I love it. The first month I was feeling sharp cramps and my breasts were really tender, but after I started my second pack, they started to lessen! My periods have been very easy and no cramps at all like I used to have before I started the pill. I can honestly say that my periods have been wonderful. I have no acne problems, my skin is very clear, and the most important thing is I have not been pregnant."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for over 2 years, and I would have to say that it has its downfalls and has its goods. I did get pregnant one time, and that was from when I had missed some pills. I don't have any cramps like I used to before I started taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo."

For Ovarian Cysts "Horrible! I started using it as a recommendation by my doctor to treat PCOS. My breasts have been swollen since day 2, it's now day 14. I've had cramps, back pain, irritability, random crying fits, emotional outbursts, and now I'm spotting, and I'm in so much pain. I also have diarrhea. This medication has been just horrible for me. I've used other birth controls. None have done this to me."

For Birth Control "Ended up in the hospital with low hemoglobin and almost needed a blood transfusion. My periods were never normal before, but with this pill, they never stopped. I bled for 2 months and was so weak I couldn't go to school or do anything but lay in bed. Cramps were so bad, and I bled through every overnight pad daily. At the time, I was 15. Never again took them."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Awful. Awful. Awful. I started on the pill when I was 15 because I was getting cramps so bad I was almost throwing up from the pain. Now at 25, I am still using the pill but have switched a few times. The brand that I am using now is terrible. Horrible cramps, periods last for a week or more, spotting, mood swings, weight gain, acne, discharge... you name it, I've got it. The pill is effective for birth control, I'll give it that, but there are a lot of negative side effects that come along with it."

For Birth Control "This has been my first time on birth control. I never really experienced many symptoms; the worst would be the really bad headaches towards the end of my active pills and during the placebo pills. After 7-8 months is when things started to change. I spotted for 11 days, and that had never happened to me. I didn't miss a pill or anything, but I still got my period as usual. The following month, I did not miss any pills, did all I was supposed to, but I missed my period completely. And now on the 9th/10th month, I have been spotting for the past 3 days (I think due to missing one pill but taking it first thing in the morning and the other at my usual time), but the cramps are horrible. This BC has given me more of a headache than anything."

For Birth Control "My gyno recommended this, and this was my first time taking BC pills. I got my period twice in the first month I tried it. My cramps were still pretty severe, and I kept getting like brown liquid after my period would finish. After two months, I'm going to switch to another brand because of the pain with my cramps, this brown liquid, and it was a little expensive. I didn't want to give it below 5 stars because I didn't try it for a long enough time for it to adjust. However, I didn't see an increase in weight gain, and my boobs grew a tiny bit."

"I went on for acne, and I'm not really sure if it ultimately helped with that since I began Accutane a few months later. However, I didn't notice any changes in my mood, weight gain, cramping. I had irregular periods before, so it was nice to finally have them on a schedule. On Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, my periods lasted for approximately 6 days, but after the first 2-3 days, it was light. I ultimately decided to stop because I think it may be affecting my sex life."

For Birth Control "This was by far the worst pill I have been on. I ended up getting my period the week after the placebo pills. I did not find the point in that. My cramps were so bad I would cry. I do not recommend this to anyone at all. The cost was good though."

"I've been using this pill for about 3 years now, and I love it. I get my period on time every time for only 3-4 days, no cramps, no mood changes, or weight gain. I highly recommend it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got on this birth control to regulate my period and get rid of acne. The only good thing about this was that my period started on the same day each month, and it was shorter. The negative effects I had were bad acne, cramps worsened, period was really heavy, and heavy spotting the first 2 months. I figured I needed to wait at least 3 months for any good effects, but the negatives outweighed the positives, and I'm now off this medicine. I didn't gain any weight, luckily. In fact, I lost some weight, but that could be a coincidence. The breakouts were the worst part about this birth control, though, and that is why I'm not taking it anymore."
