For Birth Control "I've been taking Mono-Linyah for 5 months now, and I am so disappointed and unhappy with it. I get frequent headaches, they last all day. Sometimes they last for 2-3 days at a time. They're almost unbearable. My periods have gotten even heavier than they were before I started taking this, and they last for about 6 or 7 days. I just got off my period 5 days ago, and I'm back on it again right now. I have had a period literally every other week since I started taking Mono-Linyah. Most people notice weight gain while taking most birth controls, but I've been losing weight. I was 120 lbs when I started it 5 months ago, and now I'm only 104 lbs. I feel like I'm in such an irritable mood all the time. I'm always so tired and have no energy, but I also can't sleep at night, and my anxiety has been terrible. I would not recommend this birth control to anyone. Hopefully, my doctor will change it when I see her next month. I really don't want to keep taking this rubbish."

For Birth Control "I had taken Xulane (patch) for a year and wanted to try something different, so my doctor prescribed me this pill. Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but at the start of the third week, I ended up passing out for the first time in my life. My anxiety before this pill was manageable, and I didn't need medication to function. At the third-week point, I started having anxiety every day that felt out of control, I couldn't get ahold of myself and had severe chills, tinnitus, headaches, numbness in my hands, and depressive thoughts. If you have any mental health issues, no matter how small, I would choose another pill. Please don't suffer the way I have."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about 2 months now, and I feel no different for the most part. No mood swings (probably because I'm also on an antidepressant), no skin changes, no cramps, no spotting, no headaches. The only thing I've noticed is my pH balance has been a little off. Not sure if it correlates."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got on Mono-Linyah to regulate my periods when I was about 16. I took it for 5 years, and those years were the most miserable years of my life so far. I gained a significant amount of weight-nothing could help it, even if I exercised every day and ate right. I cramped 2.5 weeks out of the month. It caused bad mood swings, headaches, and extreme anxiety. It seems like I'm just naming every side effect in the book, but that's how bad this stuff is. I do not recommend this birth control to anyone. The only reason I gave above a 1 is because it regulated my period, but I had extreme consequences for that."

For Birth Control "I got switched to this brand from Sprintec/Tri-Sprintec, and after reading reviews, I was so scared to even start taking it. But Mono-Linyah has been soooo much better than Sprintec, Tri-Sprintec, and Estarylla. I used to get nauseous immediately after taking those, had mild headaches, no appetite, and NO sex drive at all. Now, after only one month on Mono-Linyah, I feel a whole lot better. I have zero side effects after taking it, no nausea/headaches, and my sex drive is finally back. My period is the same as it was when I was on Sprintec, about 3-4 days long. The only downfall I’ve noticed is that my face has a few more small pimples the week of my period, but nothing too bad, as they’re very tiny (and could be caused by anything, not just the BC). Overall, I’m happy and will continue taking this."

For Birth Control "I’m sure this BC works for some people, but it did not for me. I had the worst nausea of my life, I had to stop taking it. I also had bad headaches and was so tired from not being able to eat or sleep. I will definitely be switching to a progesterone-only BC, this has too much estrogen for me."

For Birth Control "I have had two very different experiences with this medication. I was on it prior to IVF for them to regulate my cycle and did fine on it for several months. Fast forward a few years, I am almost 38 and we are doing our last round of IVF, so I had to go on it again for 2 months. It has made me so incredibly sick. I have felt nonstop nauseous, crampy, anxiety like I've never known, and horrible headaches. I am stopping taking it so I can get on something different. I had great experiences the first time I took it, it is interesting that as you get older and after you have had a baby how much your hormones can shift. It didn't start until around day 17 for me of the pill on the first pack."

For Birth Control "I have been on the pill for a month now. I've been experiencing headaches for the past week and been very nauseated. I will disregard the pill until I have a talk with my doctor."

For Birth Control "I started my period while on the active pills, got the worst cramps and back pain. Experienced blood clots, headaches, and became super moody. Would not recommend other than it did what it needed to."
