For Birth Control "I kept switching BC pills because I always had negative side effects like constant bleeding, weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc. I’ve been taking Taytulla for almost a year now, and it’s great. I have monthly periods that only last 2-3 days and are VERY light. The only side effects for me are tender, larger breasts (which I don’t mind) and a slight hormone belly."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience. After 6 weeks of taking Taytulla, I started bleeding like a normal period. Only after 2 weeks my period ended, and then it turned very heavy with a lot of clots. This has been the case for 4 days. It has given me bad cramps and GI issues. It has set my anemia back to where it initially began. I also experienced nausea, anxiety, and depression. I’m definitely getting off of this!"

For Birth Control "Prescribed by my doc to minimize bleeding due to fibroids. I’m on my second pack and still unsure because I bleed every day. Some days it’s heavy, but most days it’s not. I’m only staying on it for now because no hair loss, no cramps, no headache. I put on some weight, but I lose easily, so not too concerned. I’m taking with iron supplement for now, but can’t continue with daily spotting and bleeding until menopause. I’m on the fence recommending this, but I guess it’s a matter of your problem and what works. I honestly prefer minimal bleeding and some hair on my head."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control about a year ago and got prescribed Sprintec. I had no symptoms other than a 6-7 day period when they were 3-4 days before starting the pill. I told my OBGYN this after taking Sprintec for 10 months, and she thought it would be best to try another pill, that’s when she prescribed Taytulla. I would 100% not recommend this birth control to anyone. I have been on Taytulla for 4 months now, and every month I will start bleeding a week after taking my placebo pills and continue to bleed until I reach the next set of placebo pills. For the last 3 months, I have had 3-week periods and then 1 week off. I have also noticed extreme weight gain in these four months and am constantly bloated, along with daily headaches. I am switching back to Sprintec and NEVER taking Taytulla again."

For Birth Control "I'm 30. Have never been on birth control before, so I'm not really sure what to expect or compare it to. I've been on Taytulla for about 3 weeks, and ever since I started, I've had this issue where each time my husband and I have sex, I start bleeding during. I don't know what this means, but I don't like it. I was given this by my gyno to help treat endometriosis, so there is a possibility that that could be what's causing the bleeding, but this specifically hasn't been an issue before I started on the pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on several birth control pills as well as Depo, and Taytulla is the best! I’ve been on it for about 7 months now. No breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, and super light periods that only last a day or two. I previously suffered from intense cramping, mood swings, weight gain, and acne, but not with this birth control. There’s definitely breast tenderness and growth, but I’m okay with that. Not every birth control is for everyone but definitely worth a try."

For Birth Control "My cramps are worse, and I’ve been bleeding for 2 weeks-not even being on my period. I’ve been having frequent mood swings, often finding myself snapping at people or being more angry. Can’t wait to switch my pill."

For Birth Control "Lo Loestrin was causing spotting, which turned into severe bleeding and cramping that became unbearable, so went with Taytulla. Pros: no acne, good libido, no mood swings, no weight gain, no preggo. First month, just minor cramping when “period” came. Month 2, cramped throughout the month, started spotting two days before my withdrawal bleeding. 3rd month... HORRIBLE. My cramps were so bad to the point of crying and hunched over in PAIN with so much inflammation. When it was time for the next pack, I couldn’t take the pill... I realized I have estrogen dominance unknowingly, and I think this pill made it worse. Is everybody different with the pill? Yes. So if it works for you, great. If you are having symptoms, DON'T IGNORE the signs and don’t let a doc tell you this is normal. And if you have underlying issues, get checked out first and healed possibly before taking the pill. The pill only masks issues you have. Hence when you’re off the pill, your issues are still there."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for a month and 6 days, and it has been the worst thing I've ever done. I have tried 2 other birth controls before this (the injection and Nuvaring), and neither made me feel so depressed and anxious. I have also had bleeding with lots of clots for 54 straight days. The migraines and cramps are extremely painful. I was put on this BC because I am thought to have endometriosis from my OBGYN. The only good thing about this product is that I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. For the first three days of taking it, I felt unbelievably awesome. I had a lot of energy and I felt generally happy. Around the 5th day of taking this, I started to feel off but continued to take it. A few more days passed and I began to feel extremely emotional, could not stop crying, and started having severe anxiety and depression that interfered with my daily life. I would lay around and cry all day, every day. I had no motivation to do anything and felt trapped in my own mind. Aside from the emotional side effects, I completely lost my appetite, had severe cramps, extreme nausea, and abnormal bleeding, which went on for 16 straight days. I stopped taking the pill after 16 days. I've been off the pill for 4 days now and I have yet to get my appetite back, but my mental state is finally starting to improve again. This pill ruined my life and strained my relationship. Thanks a lot, Taytulla, you suck."

For Birth Control "My OB prescribed me this BC. I just had gives birth two months ago, and it was okay for the first week and a half. Then I noticed I was gaining weight, craving different foods. Then I started having headaches that got progressively worse, turning into migraines. Then I started bleeding, my period wasn't even supposed to start yet, and I'm still bleeding very heavily. Super tampons barely work. I do not recommend this BC, although everyone's body is different."

For Birth Control "Taytulla worked really well in preventing pregnancy. Of my 4 months on the pill, I was only ever late on one pill. For the first month, though, I experienced about three weeks of spotting and really sore boobs. I ended up going up two cup sizes, though. It also cleared up my acne and made my periods extremely light and painless. I suffer from depression already, and it did make it worse. Also, for the past three out of 4 months, I have had breakthrough bleeding for about 4 days in the middle of my cycle, causing me to have pregnancy scares almost every month. I'm switching to Tri-Sprintec today because of the bleeding."

For Birth Control "This is my first time being on birth control, and I must admit I can't wait to get off of it. The first month on it was horrible, I felt like vomiting the 2-3 weeks on the pills. I was spotting light in the beginning, and then it got very heavy with bad, bad cramping, which lasted 18 days. I thought this pill would reduce cramping, but instead it gave me horrible cramping. Also, this pill turned me into a different person. The mood swings are kicking me very badly. Now that I'm in two months on these pills, it has gotten worse. I've had bleeding again like the first month and bad cramping that lasted 2 weeks, and it is horrible. Now that I am finishing the 2nd pack of this pill, I've gotten very sick, and my appetite went down. It made me bruise easily and very emotional. I'm only on it for 3 months, and I can't wait to get off of it, and after that I am no longer taking birth control after all that. The only good thing this Taytulla pill did for me was no weight gain, and it made my face very clear, no acne."

For Birth Control "I was just diagnosed with PCOS. Well, I asked the doctor what I could do to stop the bleeding. She put me on this. I just started my second month. I've been bleeding for about 1.5-2 weeks. It's heavier than it's ever been. I'm going through ultra tampons every 3 hours."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this birth control (first timer), I was nauseous for a few days. As another stated below, I thought it was food poisoning. I was more irritable and emotional than usual, bled for 2 weeks straight. I've now been on it for 8 months, and my mood swings are better, no nausea, no major weight gain, no scary acne. I do notice an increase in appetite, but I’ll take that over a baby right now. Overall, I feel great."

For Birth Control "With Taytulla, I had breakthrough bleeding on top of the period I already have. Severe anxiety and depression. I cry at every little thing. I have to finish this pack, and then I'm switching to something else. I can't wait. I guess the only good thing it did was prevent me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Taytulla for about half a year. The first few months were wonderful: no heavy bleeding, no cramps, no prolonged period, etc. Within 3 months, I stopped having periods. I went 3-4 months without a period, and then BOOM, I had a 3-week-long period that made me depressed, cramp terribly, and cry myself to sleep. I’m sure my body got used to this medicine. But I’m going to the doctor to get a new BC ASAP. I wouldn’t not recommend Taytulla if you have depression or anxiety, or if your body gets used to “low” BC."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS and have not had a period in months. I have been taking this BC since January of this year, and I have not stopped bleeding, which the doctor says is not a period. The only break I have gotten from bleeding is taking the pill twice daily to stop it, but when I go back to once daily, it's back to bleeding. I have done all tests, even a D&C. No help."

For Birth Control "I started Taytulla because I had prolonged bleeding. I went to the E.R. and they gave me Provera pills until I could make an appointment with my OB. Well, the ER doc gave me 10 pills, which stop my period instantly. Needless to say, the symptoms of those pills are heavy bleeding after you finish them, so here comes the bleeding again. My friend told me about the new b/c that she was taking and that I could use a back to stop my bleeding till I went to my doctor, and we weigh about the same, so I gave it a shot. I didn't experience symptoms till about three weeks on b/c. I had horrible headaches that felt like migraines, which I'm not a person that really has headaches. I would space out like I had tunnel vision, I was always tired, and I'm pretty energetic. I lost my appetite, my anxiety wasn't too bad, I started to get moody and depressed. I took myself off, I'd rather bleed than feel like a zombie. Everybody is different, though. I wouldn't recommend it, but to each its own!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Taytulla for over 4 years now. The first 3 months I had cramping and used a heating pad a lot. It did its job of preventing pregnancy. It regulated my period for the most part, although there were some months I didn’t get it at all or it would be super light. However, I am having to switch birth control pills because I have had breakthrough bleeding in between my periods for the past year to two years. Other than that, my weight fluctuations have been the same, my libido has been great, and my mood has been stable. At the end of the day, it did its job with some minor side effects."

For Birth Control "I know there are a lot of bad reviews on this birth control, but I wanted to share my mostly positive experience for those concerned. When I first started Taytulla, I got the worst cystic acne, worse than I have ever had in my life. This lasted for about 3 months while my body adjusted, but now my skin has cleared up and I barely have breakouts anymore. I also just have spotting now instead of the awful crippling cramps and excessive bleeding I used to have before. Sure, there are downsides, but no pill is perfect. I honestly enjoy this birth control and I hope others have good experiences as well."

For Birth Control "I am currently almost through my second pack of Taytulla. The first pack was a nightmare. I bled heavily for more than half of the month. The cramping was awful, and I became extremely depressed. I was told to stay on the pill another month until my hormones balanced out. While the bleeding stopped, my mood is very low, and my anxiety is very high. I also have gained 4 1/2 pounds. My breasts are extremely tender, and I have developed nightly migraines. This will be my last pack of these pills."

For Birth Control "I've been on the same BC for 4 years. I had breakthrough bleeding, and my doctor switched me to Taytulla. She gave me a 3-month supply. I'm pretty sure doctors are being paid to give out samples. Went to the pharmacy to get the prescription, and it's $500 a month. Forget that! So I'm trying the 3 samples to see if I like it enough to get the generic. I've only done a month, and I've had bad mood swings, bad headaches, bad body acne I've never had before, super tender breasts, and vaginal discharge every day. I know when you start BC, you get symptoms, but I didn't expect this from going from one BC to another. I'll take a pregnancy test in a week to make sure I'm not pregnant and give it another month to see if any of this goes away. But so far, DO NOT take Taytulla."

For Birth Control "Doc prescribed Taytulla to help regulate my premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). After being on medicine for 11 days, after having very regular periods for years and only spotting 2-3 times in my entire life. I had breakthrough bleeding after having my period a week and a half before. I had PMS food cravings, headache, cramps, and mood swings with uncontrollable crying that were off the charts and worse than my 'normal PMS' symptoms. In addition to the very depressing erratic mood swings, it exacerbated nerve issues in my spine, created burning down my legs, extreme back pain, which had been under control and feeling great for months, until I began taking medicine. This medicine is awful. Do not take if you have any form of mild depression. It also turned my urine brown. Lovely."
