For Birth Control "This is my first time on any kind of birth control and I must say this has been a horrible experience for me. I say this because my period has been horrible it has been intensified I have horrible cramps my back my stomach hurts everyday. The smell of things make me nauseous I'm very moody I'm always sad or upset - it's kinda ridiculous because I wish someone had informed me about this. I bleed uncontrollably its heavier than normal and it's thicker I feel like I should just try another source of birth control"

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Evra for a little under two weeks and had about 5 side effects. First I was getting heart pain. I was super moody, only on it cause I just had a miscarriage and was told I should wait 6 months to try again, and I was really against it but I did it anyway. Aside from the grief of that, I still should have felt so miserable, I’m generally a happy person. I am very upset but shouldn't be unhappy while being out with family and friends having a good time and lots of support from everyone. Also I have no sex drive like I haven’t been in the mood once. I generally just feel depressed. I also have no appetite, and the only thing that makes me happy is smoking weed. I ripped the patch off today and I feel a little better. If I have another miscarriage in this time then that’s okay... although still very sad. I went through it once and can handle it. I was under the impression I would just keep miscarrying if I didn’t get on it and gave in but this birth control is just not for me."

For Birth Control "I love this patch and would recommend it to anyone! I'm British so the cost is all covered too which is even better! On the first full day of using the patch I was violently sick and felt nauseous for the morning but that was it. Since then I have actually calmed down with mood swings and a lot less snappy! Also I'm quite small and have naturally small breasts but have gone up about half a cup size in the 3 weeks I've been on it!"

For Birth Control "I have to say, I was TERRIFIED of starting the patch after reading so many awful reviews. Over the past 8 years I've been on 4 different combined pills, all of which eventually made me nauseous and caused me to vomit soon after taking them. So I was really worried the patch would have similar side effects. I'm now 6 weeks in (so have had my first break) and have to say it's great. I haven't had any problems with it coming off or peeling and I barely notice it! Obvious negatives are how noticeable it is and the yucky stickiness you get around the edge, but these are bearable. The only side effect that's bothered me is how sore my boobs are all the time - I can barely put my bra on! Upside though.. they've grown! Overall, good easy method"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on it for 3 months now. I was hesistant to go on it, due to reviews. I have tried all kinds of birth controls from the implant to IUD. I am horrible at remembering to take a pill at the same time everyday. With the patch, I find it easy to only have to change it once a week. I have been experiencing some side effects, nothing detrimental though. Since starting this medicine my breasts have grown at least a cup size and are tender, my appetite has increased a lot, and there’s very minor irritation from the adhesive when I take it off, identical to what I get with bandaids- again nothing to bad. Also I have used it to skip periods, but I have found I experience very minor cramps when I normally would be having my period. All in all, I would highly recommend this to anybody as a method of BC that doesn’t require you to take it everyday and isn’t so invasive like the IUD."

For Birth Control "I've been on the ortho evra patch for 4 years now and I've never had any problems. I was originally put on the patch to combat hormonal mood swings, severe cramps and an irregular period. Since then, my period comes 3 days after I remove the patch and lasts till I put on my next (3-4 days). I've never had any spotting or bleeding throughout the month and my weight has never been affected. My mood is also very stable and I get virtually no cramps/aches on my period. I would highly recommend the patch to anyone."

For Birth Control "I loved the results! It is so easy to put on my buttcheek (alternating each week) and forget about for a week. I love how hassle free it is, my insurance even covers it 100% so I don't have a co-pay. I haven't had any issues with it coming loose, but that is one of my few complaints. When I pulled it off the first it felt like a waxing strip, but that's a price to pay for how convenient it is, now I use a little lotion to get it off. I am accustomed to having a few breakouts here and there, however I've been getting huge cystic pimples. They have cleared up and I haven't had any for the last week though. My breasts have gone from D to pushing a DD & extremely tender. I am somewhat moody as well."

For Birth Control "I switched from the pill because I was having trouble taking it at the same time every day. I loved the patch and how convenient it was. I wore it for two years and I will admit my boobs grew a cup size and I gained about 10 lbs over time but my bf likes a little chubb so it was fine, lol. I NEVER had nausea problems (kinda shocked by some reviews here). I'll admit I would have PMS-like mood swings each time I changed the patch but I never had shakes or sweating. I actually really love this birth control and rarely notice side effects. My periods became lighter (I had heavy bleeding pain before the patch), it lasted 3 days and was on a regular schedule. I highly recommend"

For Birth Control "Overall, the patch is easy and convenient- especially for a college freshman. I was on the patch for about 4 months and my only complaints are that I struggled placing it somewhere that it didn't get wrinkled and gross from fabric, I was more emotional (could also be stress from college), and I did gain about 10 pound within those four months. I'm also a runner and swim occasionally, so I have to limit my time in the pool and can't sweat too much because I'm scared the patch will fall off. Otherwise, it cleared up my acne, lessened my symptoms from my period, and my period is perfectly regulated and only last about 4 days. Definitely recommend. I found the best place to put the patch is on the upper arm."

For Birth Control " I have been using Ortho Evra patch for 4 months. And at the beginning the side effects were not good, I had nausea headaches, sore breasts. And the first month I had break through bleeding for 7 days. But after those two months with side effects, everything was normalized, only the pain in the breasts remained but only when the period is coming. But I still consider it a very good method for me because I should not remember every day because I am too forgetful to take pills. Llevo usando el evra 4 meses. Y al principios los efectos secundarios fueron rudos conmigo, tenía nauseas dolores de cabeza, dolor en los senos. Y el primer mes tuve un sangrado intermestrual por 7 días. Pero luego de esos dos meses con efectos, todo se normaliso solo quedaron los dolores en los senos cuando está por venirme el periodo. Pero aún así considero es muy buen método para mi debido a que no debo recordar cada día porque soy muy olvidadizo para tomar píldoras."

For Birth Control "Now if you're going to start a birth control please and I mean please do your research because not every birth control is accurate or even worth it. I usually get a 7 day menstrual. I literally have my period for almost a month and to top it off my doctor tells me oh hey you're pregnant! how is possible? so now my significant other and I are confused as to how we are pregnant if we didn't even have intercourse around the time of it because for one I'm on the patch and I'm bleeding still. Someone help me understand and I beg you ladies research your contraceptions"

For Birth Control "I'm 19 years old and started the patch 3 days ago. I took birth control pills for 3 years and recently had my Implanon removed after a year and a half with horrible, heavy periods and terrible mood swings. So far, the patch isn't affecting me terribly. I do have nausea in the mornings but nothing too terrible I just hope it ends soon. I will come back and post in a few months after I see how my body adjust to it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Ortho Evra going on 4 years now and I really like the convenience of it. It is easy to remember and I enjoy that I know exactly when I will have my period. The first month or so I started using it my body had to adjust so I was a little nauseated the first day of a new patch, but that went away. I change it from one side of my pelvis to another each week. I am considering changing birth controls only because my insurance does not cover it and I pay 50 dollars a month for it, however after reading reviews of some others I will probably just stay on the patch. 50 dollars a month is much cheaper than paying for a baby!"

For Birth Control "I recently started using Ortho Evra and LOVE it. Its easy to use and convenient, especially since you only have to change it once every week. When I first began using the patch, I had an upset stomach for about 2 days but after that I had no more stomach aches. I have also noticed breast tenderness, but its mild and goes away quickly. I have noticed occasional bleeding, but that also went away after the first few weeks. Overall I would highly recommend the product."

For Birth Control "The pill gave me aura migraines and mood swings and my period wasn't any better, in fact my cramps got worse, bleeding was still the same. I wanted to try the IUD but my doctor is an airhead and couldn't get it in, so I settled with the patch. I honestly couldn't tell if it was working the first couple of months because I had no side effects like nausea or headaches. And I was a little leery about hormones coming from a sticker you put on your skin...but 7 months later, no baby, so it must be working. I went off it for a month because my prescription refill got messed up and I went back on as soon as I got another box and I seriously could not tell the difference between having these on and not using any birth control at all. Loving it!"

For Birth Control "I have been on the patch for two years previously it was prescribed to me to treat Polycystic ovaries. Just recently got back on It and I am extremely shocked to read all those reviews. I have never gained weight on the pill if anything I have lost few pounds. I always had an issue with acne and patch helped to solve that too. First few days on the patch can't be classed as the nicest as I felt dizzy and vomited few times however that stops relatively quickly. I can't relate to the mood swings at all . I can only recommend and say In my experience patches are relatively good compared to other methods of contraception."

For Birth Control "I had been on the patch for about 4 months, when I started them everything was really good and then about 3 months into it everything started going wrong I'm 18 I constantly kept getting urine infection or thrush and I couldn't understand why I never had them before and then the worst came my legs went blue!!! There was a clear line around my waist and from there down my legs were blue and black freezing cold I couldn't feel them.. I bleed so heavy and was in agony got rushed to hospital and they told me that it was a side affect to my birth control spent 2 days in hospital recovering don't recommend them at all"

For Birth Control "I have been on the patch for 10 months now and I absolutely love it. I don't worry about pregnant scares at all. The only down side I have is that when I put on a new patch after my period I get really nauseated and a bad headache for a few hours but this started about 3 months ago and the other downside is that when I exercise and take hot showers it seems to make the patch slip off. But it's honestly the best birth control I've been on EASY to use and GREAT protection."

For Birth Control "This is my first time using the Ortho Evra patch ! I’m now on my patch free week But since using it I didn’t feel anything different or changes which was great until I put the second patch on I felt my boobs were always sore and nipples very tender but no other side effects at all . I’ve gone up on bra size a whole cup size . No weight gain which is good So far so good I’m happy The one bad thing is fluff from clothing tends to stick to it But I like it so far will continue to use it :)"

For Birth Control "I been on Ortho Evra for 2 months now. I love it. The first night I wore it, I had a panic attack. I ripped it off during the night then started wearing a new patch the next day. Since then, no panic attacks, so I'm guessing it wasn't caused by the patch. My breasts were tender but I got used to it, and I love how light my cramping and periods are. I get a pimple or two during the third week, and I am a lot more emotional, but that does not interfere with my personal life. It took some time getting used to wearing the patch, it fell off like three times. Overall its amazing."

For Birth Control "After the first few months of adjusting to it, I found that I really loved this birth control, and it is highly effective. First few months were really easy and smooth with the exception of feeling really tired. I typically react that way by hormones/estrogen. Everyone's different. After that, my skin cleared up, my breasts grew a whole size bigger, my anxiety got better, and my sex drive is insanely active. I would recommend this to any woman under 35 who doesn't smoke."

For Birth Control "After having awful side effects from oral contraceptive pills, and after trying Ortho Cyclen again as part of my IVF protocol (It made me so dizzy and nauseous I woke up in the middle of the night vomiting), my reproductive endocrinologist switched me to the Ortho Evra patch. What a difference! None of the horrible side effects, and I can eat and keep it down! YAY!"

For Birth Control "My wife was on continuous patches and she has breakthrough bleeding 365 days a year, nausea, throwing up, headaches, lower sex drive and extreme pain in her stomach which had her wake up in her sleep and crying out in pain especially during her period when not doing the 4th week. The doctors didn't know what it was so they gave her an unconfirmed diagnosis because they couldn't confirm anything else but she's decided to discontinue the patch and so far all of the above side effects have subsided almost completely. For Birth Control "I have used the Ortho Evra patch for a month now, it's the first form of birth control that I have ever taken, even though I was married for 6 years I have always used natural methods such as a fertility app and it worked (my 2 kids were both planned). I was always thinking that birth control will mess with my body and my mood and its gonna affect my sex drive but I am soo satisfied with the patch, the only side affect that I have been experiencing is upset stomach and diarrhoea since I have started on the patch but its okay because it helped me lose some extra pounds lol. My sex drive has increased I'm not sure if that's because of the patch or because of my new sexual partner. The patch is very easy to use and it works perfectly for me because I am very forgetful and can't commit to taking a pill every night."
