Etanercept for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I am a former athlete, and the onset of arthritis has been terrible for me. Sulfasalazine helped a lot, but then I had to have a new rheumatologist due to the retirement of the previous, and she recommended Enbrel, informing me I could discontinue the Sulfasalazine. This was a bad idea, substantial pain returned, which was alleviated by starting the Sulfasalazine again. I have no idea if this very expensive drug is worth the cost."

Etanercept for Ankylosing Spondylitis "Taking Enbrel once a week now (Started the day before Christmas 12/24/16). I have had Ankylosing Spondylitis for over 17 years but was misdiagnosed until 3/15. The doctors always told me that I had chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. It first started at @ age 37. I could hardly make it through a week without going in and getting IVs full of vitamins and saline. I finally came across a Nurse Practitioner who prescribed me vitamin B injections (twice a week), vitamin D (once a week), and Folic Acid (Deplin - once a week). This really was helpful, but the pain was horrific & I never felt right. And I had bouts with bad pain in my Achilles - left foot. There is more to my story, but this site will not allow me to type it."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Could not close hands fully and had pain in feet and knees. Enbrel is a wonder. I feel like a new person."

Etanercept for Rheumatoid Arthritis "Used to be OK using Enbrel, now it has become painful to even make the pen click. Don't think it is working as well, seem to have changed it."
