For Migraine "I have had migraines for about 50 years. Tried everything. Dr. called and said to try Relpax... WOW, miracle drug. What I don't understand is WHY OVER $900 a month WITH INSURANCE? Walgreens pharmacy, Bangor, Maine. 40 mg tab, 16 tablets a month, and I had to get special permission to be allowed the 16 tablets. Relpax is ALL that has ever worked. I worry about the long-term side effects on the heart, but I guess dying early is better than a migraine. I do get residual effects the entire NEXT day - weak and lethargic, I move slower and take my time - at least I am pain-free within 2 hours of taking Relpax and can work, function 80%. It makes me VERY weak, so lifting, running are impossible. I would not trade it for anything. NOTHING else has EVER worked, and I refuse the generic, especially after reading reviews... IT IS NOT THE SAME. But why over $900 a month? It's a MAJOR FINANCIAL BURDEN, but I would rather die than suffer a migraine, and I guess they know that. Sad USA."

For Migraine "I have tried Amerge, Maxalt, Imitrex, Zomig, Frova, and Axert. I liked Amerge, but I tended to use 2 pills. Imitrex ALWAYS made me sicker before it helped me. Zomig and Frova took away some of the pain and left the nausea. Maxalt made me so loopy I could hardly think, and Maxalt Mlt wasn't as bad but made me so tired I couldn't function at work. Axert was good, but insurance wouldn't cover it. I liked Relpax better because one pill nearly always killed it. In 3 years, I have taken 2 pills only twice. Cons of Relpax: expensive and will not go generic soon. Pre-packaged 6 pills to a box (ask the pharmacist to put Rx in a bottle with a label). Pros: low nausea, one pill takes away the episode. Pfizer has a $15 off Rx program. The doctor will often give samples."

For Migraine "I have been getting migraines for 23 years, I'm 43 now. I get 3-4 migraines per week. I used to take Imitrex, but that started to not work so well. It usually took 60 to 90 minutes to work, and I would always feel tired after taking it. I went to a neurologist, and he started me on Relpax. What a difference! I have 80 mg pills that I cut in half. Within 30 minutes, I am good as new. No major side effects for me, which is great. I highly recommend giving it a try. I still get about 4 migraines a week, but I can take 40 mg, and they go away. Now if I could only find a daily pill that would reduce the frequency of my migraines...."

For Migraine "Relpax 40 mg is my go-to medication when I have a bad migraine. I have tried almost all triptans, and this works best for me. If taken ASAP, it typically zaps my migraine within 60-90 mins. Relpax makes me feel spacey, 'floaty,' and tired, so I usually take it and then lay down for a nap. The side effects disappear within an hour or two. This seems to be stronger than Imitrex (sumatriptan) or Maxalt (rizatriptan). Not sure if it is actually stronger or just works better for me. It is quite expensive, even with insurance."

For Migraine "Do the side effects (jaw pain, yawning, chest tightness that makes you feel like it's hard to breathe, general out-of-it feeling/inability to focus) kinda suck? Yeah. Does it ALWAYS work? No. Can I drive or work after I take it? Not for a few hours. I work in healthcare though, if it was a job where patients' health/lives weren't in my hands, it would probably be fine. Is it worth taking when I have a migraine? 100% yes. I've tried a lot of different triptans and a couple of non-triptan options. Currently, this is the best for me. When it works, it works in about an hour, and I'd much rather have the side effects than the nausea and pain from the migraine."

For Migraine "I've had migraines (several types and causes) for about 22 years. I've tried about every other triptan and preventive medication that's out there. Relpax works the best, by far. I have little side effects, other than it makes me a little tired. But I'd rather have that than a debilitating migraine for days. It works in about 30 minutes, and you can totally function well on it. The only reason I give it a 9 is because it's expensive. With insurance, I pay $30 for 6 pills. And half the time insurance won't cover it, which makes it about $220 for 6 to 8 pills. But if you can afford it, it's definitely worth the money to live a normal life again!"

For Migraine "Relpax is the only migraine med that works for me. It relieves my migraines in about a half hour. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it. Side effects: tiredness, mild nausea, frequent urination, runny nose, head fogginess."

For Migraine "I started getting migraines at 11 years old. For the first few years, Excedrin Migraine would usually get rid of it. But then it stopped working. I finally went to a neurologist. At first, I was put on Imitrex, but that either did absolutely nothing or made the pain worse. After switching to 20 mg Relpax, I am so relieved! It almost always knocks out my migraine symptoms. Once in a while, it won't really work, and I'll have to take a 40 mg. Although, one time I did have to go to the ER because I had a migraine for a week and Relpax wasn't working, every single other time it has worked! The only side effect I've noticed is that I'm a bit tired. However, this could just be due to the initial pain beforehand. But heck, I love Relpax!"

For Migraine "I’ve been taking Relpax for about 10 years now, and I can honestly say I cannot live without it! It takes away my migraine and all my symptoms within the hour. I tried other medications that didn’t work and made me worse. Generic brands also did not work for me. I would recommend it to anyone. The only side effect I get sometimes is that it can make me a little tired, but I can handle that over a migraine any day."

For Migraine "I’ve tried at least 8 medications for migraines, and this has been the best one. Works fast with limited side effects. One thing is, after taking, I feel very emotional and sometimes very tired."

For Migraine "God bless the inventor of Relpax. I've had chronic migraines for over 20 years and have tried every triptan. No one works as dependably and thoroughly as Relpax 40 mg for me. I can't imagine my life without it. It does make me feel tired, but I'll happily take that over migraine pain."
