Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been taking this medicine for about 3 weeks, and it barely works for me. It actually caused severe drowsiness, dry mouth, and dizziness. At first, I chalked all that up to pregnancy till I figured it was the medicine causing this. I accidentally missed one dose, and I felt horrible. The one of not many good things about this pill is it's so small, so it doesn't interfere with my inability to swallow huge horse pills. I will be asking my OB-GYN for another medication so I can at least be awake throughout the day."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my 2nd pregnancy, and the nausea and vomiting from the thought of food or taking prenatal pills was taking a toll on my mental. My doctor prescribed me Bonjesta. I took it a few nights, and the next day I had no morning sickness. It's working about 80% of the time, which is good. Just a huge caution: if you decide to take this during the day, make sure you have absolutely NOTHING to do. I made a mistake taking this at 2 pm in the afternoon, couldn't get up until about 8 pm. This pill put me on my butt! I fought the drowsiness as long as I could, but it won. It's now 11:45 pm, and I'm still tired. I will stick to taking this before bed."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication makes my life livable. I’ve been taking it from 12 to 28 weeks and will continue until I deliver. I’ve gone without it twice and deeply regretted it. I was finally able to keep food down and start gaining weight with my pregnancy, thanks to this medication. I take one before bed, and I do think it helps me sleep. On days I’m really sick, or if I miss a dose, I’ll take it in the morning, and it doesn’t make me groggy or sleepy. I truly couldn’t survive without this stuff!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "It has helped a little, not all of my sickness is gone. I feel overly exhausted and drowsy! I have been on it for about five or so weeks. I am taking it four times a day now, and I can feel major sleepiness! Just glad it has eased my nausea at least!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I think it really helps but doesn’t quite last the full 24 hours for me. I was nauseous on and off throughout the day starting between week 5 and 6, and progressively getting worse and lasting longer into week 7 when I started taking it. It took two days for the full effect of the medication; I’m now just about 9 weeks and ever since the nausea has been much better throughout the day up until the evening, though I do have some more mild bouts of nausea here and there during the day. I take it between 10:30-11:30 PM before bed and the nausea comes back strong each day by 8:00 or 9:00 PM (with very infrequent actual vomiting). I noticed some drowsiness the first few days in the morning but nothing that prevented me from functioning; it’s honestly hard to say if it’s adding to the tiredness I feel or if that’s just from the hard work of growing a baby because I felt exhausted before I started taking it too :)"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "How one drug could make such a difference! This is my 1st pregnancy, and for 3 weeks, I've been lying in bed sick as a dog and wanting to vomit if I move. Nurse/doc gave me some free samples to try, and wow. I feel back to my normal self. I only take it at night as it does make one very drowsy, but it lasts for me the whole night and day."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Started Bonjesta at week 11 after my nausea was already starting to fade a bit. It made me way too drowsy to take in the morning. I couldn’t drive at all; certainly couldn’t work while taking it. Great if you’re having nighttime nausea, though."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was finally diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and the hospital prescribed me this med when no other med even took the edge off. I was to take it before bed every night. The first night I woke up drowsy but able to take my daughter to school and even walk her to class! The second night I slept from 10 pm to 1 pm the next day. I had an upset stomach but not sure if the meds caused me to be on the toilet for 30 minutes. For me, it takes the edge off of my nausea but I still vomit and I am extremely drowsy. It feels like it took a whole bottle of sleep aid! No lie. I’m going to take it at least a week before I give up on it completely. And I sleep like a baby once I’m sleeping."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medicine is a lifesaver. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and hadn't gained weight at all throughout this pregnancy. I actually lost weight because I was nauseous, vomiting regularly, and couldn't eat throughout this entire pregnancy. I was taking Zofran, which did help, but thanks to Diclegis, I was able to start eating more, the nausea went away, and I gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks. I take Zofran throughout the day and 1-2 Diclegis at night because of the drowsiness, but this medicine is definitely a lifesaver for me."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This sent me to the hospital! I was on my second pregnancy, and my OB prescribed Diclegis for my morning sickness, which feels more like all-day sickness. I decided to wait till nighttime to take 1 instead of 2 because it said it caused drowsiness, and my toddler was 1 at the time. So I woke up at 4 am feeling extremely flushed, I could feel my blood pumping through my body! My heart was racing out of control. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack! I called 911, and the paramedics said my HR was at 120. Once I got to the ER, I started to hyperventilate to the point where I couldn't walk, talk, and my extremities became stiff. OB laughed at me, didn't believe any of my side effects, fired him, and never took it again! Don't recommend it!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My co-worker (who is also pregnant) suggested that I ask my doctor to prescribe Diclegis for me if I ever experienced nausea at any point in my pregnancy. I was sure I wasn't going to experience any of that until I hit week 7, and OH! I was in for a rude awakening. My nausea became horrible from day to day until I asked my doctor to prescribe something for my nausea. Of course, Diclegis was the medicine prescribed. After taking two at bedtime the first night, I didn't feel at all nauseated the next morning, therefore, I didn't feel the need to take the morning dose. Now, only if I feel nauseated in the morning time, I'll take my morning dose (1 tablet) and continue on with my day. The only downside? Diclegis can cause drowsiness."
