Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "I just started using this and obtained pretty immediate relief for my knee replacement knee and my other knee with osteoarthritis. I’ve had a difficult recovery from complete knee replacement surgery. Because of severe pain, I haven’t been able to continue my PT exercises. Voltaren allows me to do the exercises with quite a bit less pain. I hope that no bad reactions."

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "This seems to help my pain, but I find the odor a deterrent to using it regularly. I am allergic to most fragrances, and this is no exception. Why do they add fragrance when it is a common issue for people with allergies?"

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "This medicine is pretty miraculous as far as my joints are concerned. I'm using much less than the 2-gram dose - maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a gram on a joint, tops - and having at least 8 hours pain-free. It seems no studies were conducted on its use on shoulders, but it worked decently enough for mine when I pinched a nerve. Make sure you read the possible side effects and all the potential negatives, and test on a single area with someone with you for a couple of hours just to make sure you're not allergic. It's been problem-free for me, but everyone's body chemistry is different."

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "I loved this Pennsaid cream. It helped me along with my cortisone shots, but I developed an itchy rash from it and had to get a cream to take the rash away. It really is depressing because this stuff was really helping me, but I am allergic to something in it."

Diclofenac topical for Pain "I was prescribed the emulgel 1.16% for back pain and a torn stomach muscle. I was surprised at how quickly it worked. It definitely gave me more mobility. I also hurt my shoulder recently kayaking, and the gel allowed me to start moving normally within 5-10 mins. It also allowed me to reduce oral painkillers significantly. I would recommend this to anyone. I tested my skin before applying it and didn't have any adverse reactions."

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "I'm allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen. My doctor knew this. He insisted that this stuff would be fine for me. He put a dab on my hand and said that since there wasn't a rash, I was fine. I put it in the places he told me to and then I got very, very, very sick. Lethargic almost. It was awful. Major, major, major stomach cramps and pain. My throat started to close up. It was awful. Do not take this if you are allergic to ibuprofen. You'll regret it. Some doctors truly are idiots."

Diclofenac topical for Pain "I am an artist and a horseback rider, and for the last few months have experienced a very painful case of tendinitis in my right arm. This gel works well and very quickly in my case, and with bracing and icing, I have experienced a lot of relief. The nature of this pain reliever is anti-inflammatory - not numbing - so I don't think you would find use for it if your pain is not of the inflammatory nature. I get spastic and tense neck muscles all the time and find heat and massages work better. So, for the right purpose, it is excellent stuff. I am sensitive, delicate-skinned, and had no allergies, but I would be careful and spot test nonetheless."

Diclofenac topical for Pain "Voltaren 1% gel was prescribed for my elderly (92-year-old) friend for foot pain. She had a negative reaction to the first application and would not try it again. In desperation, and since I have a type of neuropathy in my feet and cannot fall asleep, I applied half the dosage she was prescribed. To my surprise, it allows me to fall asleep at night without the pain and discomfort in my feet. I will be seeing my doctor to get this prescribed for me! I have been looking for relief for over 5 years!"

For Pain "After several days of using topical diclofenac, I got a skin rash between my legs and pelvic area. There was an itch, and the skin color changed even though I didn’t use it there. Apparently, it is some type of allergy."
