For Birth Control "This has been an awful experience for me. I’m having a polyp removed from my uterus and have to go on birth control for the surgery. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks, and since the start, I’ve had extreme nausea, bad headaches, tired all the time, moody, and trouble sleeping. I just feel awful! I do NOT recommend this particular pill!!!"

For Birth Control "I've only been on this for a week, but I wanted to write a positive review because there are a lot of terrible reviews of this product out there. I can't say much about weight gain, because I've only been on it a week, but I haven't noticed any change as far as that goes. The first day I took it in the morning and had a bad headache that evening. It didn't go away even after taking painkillers. The second day, right after I took it, I was pretty uncomfortable for a few hours. It felt like really bad cramps. The third day, and ever since, I've learned to take it while eating breakfast (not right before or after, but rather during). I haven't had any more problems. I had noticed increased breast size and clearing skin already."

For Birth Control "As far as birth control goes, well I'm not pregnant yet (and I don't use alternate protection), so I'd say it works well in that aspect, so I gave it a 6. However, I have had severe nausea, headaches (on the verge of migraines), and slight bloating. I have also been seriously tired all the time. I fall asleep all the time, anywhere, anytime, without control. I never had a problem staying awake for even a couple of days without sleep until I started taking Apri."

For Birth Control "I was on Marvelon for 2 years and then switched to Apri after losing my 'student' status and therefore needed a cheaper pill. I've been on it for 4 months, and although my periods are regular, the side effects are horrible. I have noticed frequent headaches, at least a 15-pound weight gain, and ZERO sex drive. I eat healthy and started exercising, not realizing why I was gaining and keeping all this weight. It's not going anywhere. The zero sex drive is NOT like me and has affected my relationship. All of these side effects have been occurring since being on Apri. It may work for some people, but I'd gladly pay the extra for Marvelon in order to have these effects go away."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking Apri, which was a year ago, I found that it changed my mood a lot, making me depressed, anxious, and angry all the time for no reason. Also, I have been having lots of cravings. But on the good side, I feel like I can trust this brand of birth control a lot to keep me from being pregnant. Also, not many side effects, no headaches or nausea. I’ve now been taking it for almost a year now, and my body has been getting used to it a lot."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for 4 months now, and it does its job. I just get headaches almost every day. I haven't really noticed any mood changes, but I've been taking B6 pills every day with it since that's what I had to do while on my last BC, and I definitely haven't gained any weight."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medication for seven months. Before this, I was on YAZ for five years (with no issues), but after constant recommendations to switch birth control brands from my doctor, I made the change. I find this pill makes me extremely nauseated with terrible headaches the first week of the pills. I want to try a new one but don't know which one to try."

For Birth Control "I did not want to change birth controls, but I had no choice. I was on the patch for 5+ years, I loved it, no problems, only had to change it 1 time a week on the same day. Never gained weight, never had emotional problems, nothing. But Apri is horrible, and by reading these comments, I’m lucky my situation isn’t as bad as others. I had to switch because I changed insurances, and this company didn’t offer patches as an option. Apri made me lose my sex drive completely! I never feel like doing anything. I get headaches more often than I ever have in my life, and I’m 23. I’ve gained a little weight, which is crazy because I work a very physical job, and I’ve been the same weight since high school. Also get cramps and never did before. Stay away from Apri. I’ll be switching back to the patches next month when I’m able to start my insurance at my new job."

For Birth Control "All I have to say is UGH. I haven't taken birth control in about 4 years, and I decided it was smart for me to go back on it. I've been on Apri for about 2 weeks now, and I am totally not myself. I feel so sad and depressed. I have also had random crying spells. Appetite hasn't increased at all, but my skin has broken out. My skin has been super itchy all over since I've been on it, and I've been getting stomach pains and headaches. Birth control does work differently for everyone, but I definitely plan on switching to a new birth control when this pack finishes."

For Birth Control "I really had never needed birth control. I had relatively clear skin, and until I started taking Apri, I had regular periods (3 days, every five weeks). Immediately, I felt nauseated and was a lot more prone to headaches and irritability. There were also dull, lingering cramps. Then the time when my period should have normally occurred happened. The cramping and nausea became a lot more persistent, and I was spotting. Three days come and go, and it doesn't stop. The cramping and the bleeding get worse. Eight days of this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it was because I didn't start taking it during my period like the instructions said. But the second month was no better. I was told by the doctor who prescribed this that I should only be getting periods about once every three months, and even then it would be light. I was so miserable, and it was actually worse than my periods were before taking it."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 months and am now switching. I didn't get pregnant, so that's the only advantage. My mood swings were out of whack when I first started the pill. I have headaches, am tired all the time, tender boobs, severe cramping, bad acne, and heavy periods. I ended up with a cyst in my left boob too. My sex drive increased, and I was more wet during intercourse than my last pill. Everyone's body is different, this one wasn't right for me."

For Birth Control "I only took this birth control pill for 2 months. I didn't feel depression, moodiness, or bloating. It also did not affect my sex drive, which was great. The reason I stopped taking Apri was because it made me ridiculously hungry. I'm very in tune with my appetite. I've lost over 50 lbs on my own, prior to Apri. But once I got on this pill, my appetite increased immediately. Like through the roof! Also, it gave me a lot of acne, and I've never had acne in my life. The first week I was on it, I broke out with 5 cystic pimples. The second week, 4 more came out. By the end of the month, I had a total of 13 pimples. As a person who's never had an acne problem, breaking out like that was unacceptable for me. Apri gave me painful headaches nearly every day too. Once I stopped taking it, no more breakouts or headaches, and my appetite is back to normal."

For Birth Control "Not sure if this is related to Apri, but I’m pretty sure it triggered something in me because I have never had a worse reaction to anything in my life. After about an hour of taking the birth control pill, I started to feel numb in my left hand. I got pins and needles in my whole arm and my two feet. I then quickly realized I was feeling shortness of breath. I was so scared that I was so close to going to the hospital. I tried to calm myself down, I told myself this is normal, my body is getting used to it. The symptoms continued on, but I tried to ignore it and went to bed. I woke up with the same symptoms, just lessened. The whole day I felt off, I started to get bad headaches, my body felt not good. I decided to call my doctor, they told me to stay on the pill and that nothing was wrong! I decided to do some research, and all of the side effects I had were symptoms of a stroke! Obviously, I didn’t have a stroke or I wouldn’t be writing this. I am okay now. I stopped taking this."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control experience I've ever had. I was on Quasense for three years but stopped when breakthrough started to occur. I am on these medications for birth control but also to manage excessively heavy and painful periods. I started Apri on the first day of my period. I then bled for 12 days, followed by five days of horrible discharge. I stopped Apri 12 days into the pack after experiencing ridiculous weight gain (my diet did not change), headaches, outrageous mood swings, anxiety, full body pain, cramping, muscle spasms in my neck, and severe fatigue. It is now day 18 (five days off the pill), and I'm still bleeding and dealing with tremendous mood swings. I have gained what looks like 20 or so pounds."

For Birth Control "So far, it's been my first week taking it, and I am not impressed. I've been nauseous every day this week, gotten severe headaches, and now I am worried that my relationship is gonna be ruined because of the side effects this pill has on me. It's making me look and act like a total cow, which I'm usually not. I'm also very annoyed that my doctor switched me to this without warning. Jublier is a better brand."

For Birth Control "Been taking since January 2018. I have intense headaches, my mood swings are awful, and I am angry or get frustrated so easily. This pill raised my blood pressure when I’ve never had issues with blood pressure. I’ve gained 25 pounds. I’m always hungry and have cravings for the most random things. The first few weeks on the pill, I was nauseous, and even after being on it for 7 months, I spot a lot, and I have NO sex drive! I’m going to have my tubes removed soon so I can get off this mess! I’ve taken many birth control pills, and this is by far the worst!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Apri birth control about three months ago. At first, it was okay. Now, three months in, and I can’t handle it anymore. I’ve gained 15 pounds, my mood swings are horrendous, I’m severely depressed and literally crying every day, which is unusual because I don’t cry. I got a job promotion and was sad… I just couldn’t be the happy self I knew I was. Cramping is constant. About a month in, I would randomly get sick. My last period lasted two weeks. Massive headaches every single day. I just stopped taking this pill as of today because even my family members were concerned for my mental health. Such a horrible birth control."
