Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "It worked very well on my condition. No awful side effects, since I expected the burning sensation after reading the information about it. I only had problems keeping the ovule in, since it appears to get stuck in the applicator."

For Acne "I use clindamycin to address shaving irritation and related breakouts. The lotion works wonders. Usually, within 3-5 days after use, I can see a big improvement in shaved areas around my neck and chin. This medicine has solved my problem. My shaved skin looks and feels great even after shaving daily."

For Acne "I'm a 31-year-old mom of three and had been experiencing the worst acne of my life for the past year. I've always had acne off and on since a teen, but the past year I had cystic acne along my chin line and under my jaw like nothing else. Painful. Embarrassing. My doc prescribed this in the liquid form that you pat on. I use it nightly or every other night (along with a RX benzoyl peroxide cleanser first). One month down and acne cleared up almost immediately. I will continue using for maintenance, of course. I'm sensitive to Retin-A, this stuff, though, never leaves my skin dry or burned like Retin-A did."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "Clindesse didn't work for me -- and it sure was expensive! My doctor prescribed it rather than a less expensive alternative because it's a one-dose treatment. Worked for about a month the first time, then back to the doctor. The second time it worked for a week. Wasted a lot of money."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "Great! I did the 3-ovule treatment, and it was noticeably improved after day 1. This stuff is expensive! The applicator doesn't work; the ovule gets stuck. I was very happy with the results! I don't know if it will reoccur, but time will tell. Going to attack my diet; I wonder if that may make a difference."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor prescribed Clindesse along with Gynazole, advising me to use them alphabetically: 'C' before 'G' because of the expectancy of a yeast infection after using Clindesse. I noticed that this stuff really stayed in and clung over a course of days and comes out, but NO SMELL. My cycle came on about 3 days after the dose, and my blood didn't even have an odor. I use a flex cup, so I can see and smell anything that comes out. Anyway, I feel like this medication has renewed me, and I felt soooooo fresh. Sure enough, a few days after, I started to feel a bit itchy, like a yeast infection is coming on, but no discharge, luckily, I had my trigger shot (Gynazole dose), so I was prepared. There really isn't anything like this. Out of Flagyl, use to be my go-to, but this one dose is amazing."

For Acne "Wonderful. Takes a while to work (2-3 weeks), but once it does, it helps significantly. Works well for red, inflamed, cystic acne. I use the clindamycin phosphate 1% lotion—moisturizes a bit and doesn’t aggravate my very sensitive, dry skin. I feel it’s worth mentioning that I have eczema, and it doesn’t bother that either. One bottle lasts me a couple of months."

For Acne "I've tried lots of different combinations of treatments for acne over the past 6 months, and nothing was working. I was on Trinessa-Lo birth control (said to help reduce acne; it didn't), started Differin gel, tried more natural cleaners and facial treatments, etc. Absolutely nothing worked until my doctor prescribed Clindamycin. As a disclaimer, she had me switch to a more hormonally balanced birth control (Estarylla), continue to use Differin gel, and use Clindamycin on top of that all. But instantly after using the Clindamycin, I saw MAJOR results within 2 weeks. Just as a tip, however, DO NOT skip moisturizing your face, because this product is pretty drying. I recommend Differin brand moisturizer with SPF in it. My face is now nice and soft and pretty much acne-free!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've had BV for about a year, and about 8 months ago I was prescribed metro (which I have taken in the past 6-10 times because I seem to be prone to BV). Normally, after treating BV with metro, BOOM, yeast infection here I come. Rewind 8 months back, on metro day 2 I broke into hives all over my body, which led to me having terrible anxiety around any antibiotic. I even stopped swallowing vitamins whole, I would crush or open capsules. Eventually, I decided it’s time to treat this BV and grow up! I took Clindamycin capsules, which took me about 2 months to accept I was trying an antibiotic. First round failed and 2nd round also. Both times on the pill I wasn’t getting relief, and symptoms got worse after day 3 (maybe because I was opening the capsule and diluting it in a shot glass with juice). I finally took the cream right now, after weeks of reading horrible reviews, my anxiety has been bad, but this needs to be treated. I inserted the cream around 11. Some leakage, 0 burning, and no other side effects. I’ll keep you posted."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "This med was prescribed to me 3 months ago for vaginal 'E. coli.' I did not have any symptoms at all of b.v. or 'E. coli' until I used it! I have had extreme issues! A shingles outbreak the days after using it, burning, itching, swelling, oral and vaginal yeast infection. My immune system has been severely low, and I cannot seem to get better. This med ruined my life! I went to the doc feeling normal, but after using Clindesse, I feel like I have AIDS! I was tested last year, and I was negative, so now 3 months later, and my body is all messed up. Worst med I have ever taken!"

For Acne "I've used the benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin cream for 7 days, and I officially quit!!! I can usually tough out any initial side effects, but the way my skin burns after applying moisturizer (because it dries the heck out of my skin - seriously, my skin is red and scaly on my upper lip) is unbearable!!!!! I've never felt such a painful burn on my face in my life :("

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've been using this gel off and on, but BV always seems to come back. I think maybe my body is immune to this medication now, so I'm going to try Metrogel. The first time I used Cleocin it worked great for a few months, then, of course, it came back. Then I got a yeast infection, and after the treatment for the yeast, BV would come back. It's a never-ending cycle. But the medicine gave me no side effects and works until it comes back."

For Acne "I have been using adapalene and clindamycin phosphate gel for 3 days, my skin is getting a severe burn, and I have cracks under my skin. But I had read many reviews which give me positive thoughts, therefore, I hope it will cure my skin eventually. But for now, my skin is becoming worse. If I notice any change, I'll share it for betterment."

For Acne "I have been using this lotion for about a month now. At first, it helped reduce my pimples, but I noticed I kept getting more and more pimples. It never helped clear my acne, but it may have not worked for me. However, it might work for others. Everyone's skin is different, just use what you notice works for your skin."

For Acne "I've been using clindamycin phosphate 0.1% topical solution along with other topicals twice a day, and I've seen no change till now. My acne is getting worse and becoming inflamed and leaving pathetic and horrible scars. Hoping for improvement in the coming days, as I'm directed to use it for 9 weeks."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was asked to use the ovules for three days. Right after insertion (best done by finger), it burns a lot for the first 15-20 minutes, then it calms down. I thought it was an allergic reaction, but after reading these posts, it seems like it’s a side effect. Symptoms seem to be getting better, but I’m also taking another oral antibiotic, so I’m not sure which medicine is the effective one. If there is an alternative to this medicine, I would opt for that to avoid that awful burning sensation."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I have had recurring BV for years. When I got an IUD put in, in February of this year, they basically stopped. Well, I had a case of BV pop up in the middle of last week. My doctor called in Clindesse, which I had never used before. Let me tell you, day two I was so itchy around my vulva that I couldn’t even go to work. I had to go to the store and get maximum strength Vagisil itch cream and wipes, and the relief was very minor. I was in bed for two days crying, I almost went to the hospital. It’s now day five and my legs are itching with minor vaginal itching and swelling. I don’t know if I can ever take this medication again. I’ve skipped the gym for a week because the thought of putting on leggings is making me want to cry."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "The Cleocin ovules is the only med that has no side effects and gets rid of my BV! Only issue, it gets stuck in the applicator and won't come out, so I just insert it myself laying down before going to bed."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "It’s likely that you are terrified to take this medicine just like I was, which is why I’m leaving a review. I read far too many reviews/possible side effects than was necessary. The reality is everyone’s body and reaction/lack of reaction to this medication will vary. The idea of putting cream inside me was disgusting and made me gag. You cannot feel the cream fill inside you in any way, you only feel the insertion tube. I made a much larger deal of this medication than needed. For me, there was no burning or itching when I went to the bathroom. The next morning, some cream was coming out, but this is normal. Later in the day, I had some nastiness left on the toilet paper while wiping, this is normal and exactly what it is supposed to be doing. I had zero side effects, and I’m hoping that the clindamycin wipes out the BV completely. I typically get a yeast infection every single time I take an antibiotic, so I am already expecting that to happen with this and have Flagyl on standby."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Best med for bacterial imbalance in the vagina. It stopped the terrible smell I was getting from my pH imbalance. Just that it gave me diarrhea, stomach cramps, and a metallic taste in the mouth, but who cares about those when you have a clean vagina? Also, I stopped having pimples while on the meds. I don't know if they will come back after I stop, but hey, I love this med, it works great."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "A positive review!!! I was diagnosed with BV and was prescribed clindamycin vaginal cream for 7 days. After the first dosage, the bad odor had COMPLETELY disappeared. I had very, very, VERY mild side effects such as a small lingering headache and maybe some constipation (might actually be due to my diet more so than the med). Also had some mild cramping. But that's it! I experienced no itching or burning or any diarrhea (knock on wood) while on this med. I took my last dosage the night prior to writing this, still no bad odor or any major side effects. I'd highly recommend this medicine if you're not a pill person or if you're sensitive to flagyl. With insurance, I only had to pay $10 for the cream. I gave it 9/10 because using the applicator can be messy if you're not careful or take your time with it. And the cream is less convenient than taking an antibiotic pill, but so far it's been absolutely worth it!!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "This was by far the most horrendous experience I have encountered with any medication to date. I went to the ER for pain, fever, nausea, and diarrhea. They thought I had the flu. Since we are in the midst of a deadly flu season and currently pregnant, I freaked out. My second thought was listeria. After several days terrified of food poisoning and feeling on the brink of death, my provider mercifully took me off this. If my life depended on this drug to survive, I would have to seriously debate whether to take it or not. Seek other options if available."

For Acne "Well, after a year and a half of mysterious weight loss, hair loss, fatigue, night sweats, weakness, swollen glands, and slight depression, I figured out it was the darn clindamycin lotion! I stopped using it and haven't felt better in so long. I mean, it helped clear my skin (mostly), but it's not worth the side effects. I quit sugar before the epiphany (thinking I could have cancer), and so hopefully that right there will cure my skin problem. I also figured out that dairy causes breakouts for me."

For Acne "I used clindamycin phosphate 1% gel (on a clean face), and I got a rash on my face quickly. I then washed my face again, and the rash subsided. I then used clindamycin phosphate 1% lotion, and the acne began to clear up quickly. I have been using clindamycin in lotion, gel, and the swab packets since about 2000, and it usually clears up my face very quickly, so I knew what to expect under the usual formula. The lump under the blemish sort of dissipates, and it goes away. I have an old tube of the gel, and it does not cause a rash. It may be an allergy to any changes in the gel base. I will use allergy cream in the future to see what is a zit and what is the rash around the zit. They also usually tell you to use benzoyl peroxide soap once a month, or it stops being effective. I found that to work. I used a coupon from the doctor's office."
