For Bacterial Vaginosis "I inserted this last night, and it's been burning and itching ever since. Tonight, the burning and itching are so bad that I feel like going to the emergency room. I feel like someone poured acid in my vagina. I don't even know how I'm going to get any sleep tonight. Why would my doctor even take a chance at prescribing this for me?"

For Acne "I'm a 31-year-old mom of three and had been experiencing the worst acne of my life for the past year. I've always had acne off and on since a teen, but the past year I had cystic acne along my chin line and under my jaw like nothing else. Painful. Embarrassing. My doc prescribed this in the liquid form that you pat on. I use it nightly or every other night (along with a RX benzoyl peroxide cleanser first). One month down and acne cleared up almost immediately. I will continue using for maintenance, of course. I'm sensitive to Retin-A, this stuff, though, never leaves my skin dry or burned like Retin-A did."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor prescribed Clindesse along with Gynazole, advising me to use them alphabetically: 'C' before 'G' because of the expectancy of a yeast infection after using Clindesse. I noticed that this stuff really stayed in and clung over a course of days and comes out, but NO SMELL. My cycle came on about 3 days after the dose, and my blood didn't even have an odor. I use a flex cup, so I can see and smell anything that comes out. Anyway, I feel like this medication has renewed me, and I felt soooooo fresh. Sure enough, a few days after, I started to feel a bit itchy, like a yeast infection is coming on, but no discharge, luckily, I had my trigger shot (Gynazole dose), so I was prepared. There really isn't anything like this. Out of Flagyl, use to be my go-to, but this one dose is amazing."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "This med was prescribed to me 3 months ago for vaginal 'E. coli.' I did not have any symptoms at all of b.v. or 'E. coli' until I used it! I have had extreme issues! A shingles outbreak the days after using it, burning, itching, swelling, oral and vaginal yeast infection. My immune system has been severely low, and I cannot seem to get better. This med ruined my life! I went to the doc feeling normal, but after using Clindesse, I feel like I have AIDS! I was tested last year, and I was negative, so now 3 months later, and my body is all messed up. Worst med I have ever taken!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I have had recurring BV for years. When I got an IUD put in, in February of this year, they basically stopped. Well, I had a case of BV pop up in the middle of last week. My doctor called in Clindesse, which I had never used before. Let me tell you, day two I was so itchy around my vulva that I couldn’t even go to work. I had to go to the store and get maximum strength Vagisil itch cream and wipes, and the relief was very minor. I was in bed for two days crying, I almost went to the hospital. It’s now day five and my legs are itching with minor vaginal itching and swelling. I don’t know if I can ever take this medication again. I’ve skipped the gym for a week because the thought of putting on leggings is making me want to cry."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So. I had been treating as a yeast infection for well over a year when my gyno appt. revealed otherwise. So far day 3 of 7. Only a small amount of itching. Few cramps and slight burning today. But all minor. I tried metrogel last year, and that is what did not work for me. Gave me horrible pain and a raging yeast infection the next day. But it says that these creams give you a yeast infection. It is an antibiotic. I always get them just looking at antibiotics. So if things change for the worse, I'll update. Otherwise, I expect a good outcome."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I was diagnosed with BV (bacterial vaginitis), and I started on Flagyl, then my doctor prescribed me the clindamycin cream. Everything was going fine: no smell, no discharge, no problems until after the last day I took it. Then the itching and burning were terrible. I was constantly running to the bathroom because my vagina was on fire, it’s sensitive to the touch and irritable. These aren’t even the symptoms I had before starting the medicine. I called my doctor to have a follow-up appointment, hopefully everything’s gone, and it’s just a side effect, but that itching and burning were like nothing I experienced before. It has my anxiety through the roof!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've been using this for two days, and I've been itching and burning. I was prescribed because I thought I might have had a yeast infection, but the doctor said it was bacterial. My only symptom was a little discharge, but now I'm worse off than I was."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Okay. I went to urgent care a few days ago basically with burning and itching down there. The doctor said it could be a yeast infection or BV (which annoyed me because why aren’t you sure), so she gave me the yeast one-time pill and the BV cream. I was so scared because this is the first time dealing with something like this! ALL BECAUSE OF AMOXICILLIN!! Anyway, so I've been using the cream for 3 days so far, and I was prescribed it for 5 days. It’s honestly less itching and burning, BUT I still feel a tad itchy at times. It is VERY annoying. But I’m also not completely done with the dose, so we’ll see. The only thing I hate right now is how I can’t have sex for two weeks HAAHA."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was terrified after reading reviews of clindamycin vaginal for BV. I'm on the 7-day treatment. I'm on the second dose and no burning, no itching, etc. A little uncomfortable the first 10 minutes after insertion, but that's it. I recommend this over more systematic antibiotics that can have some horrible side effects."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor prescribed Clindesse, and a few days after I used it, I started having vaginal discomfort of burning and itching when I used the bathroom. I have called my doctor's office, and they haven't gotten back to me on what else to use."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I am now on day 6 of clindamycin for BV, and I haven't noticed a difference. I still have a smell, but not like fish, just a smell you can still smell. At this point, I have tried metro gel and pills, but nothing. I will be going back to my doctor soon. I haven't experienced any itching or burning, just a smell that won't go away."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "My doctor gave me this cream after having bacterial vaginitis symptoms with a urinary infection. I have never itched so badly in my life. My BV symptoms stopped, but now I have this terrible burn and itchy sensation, which I have no clue how to tackle with :("

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was told to take it for 3 days rather than the standard 7 as I am pregnant. Didn’t help, so I took the last 4 days, and I thought for the most part it worked, except for the itching that came back a day later. I took another culture test, and my doctor said it might be yeast. Just wait for results. Guess what I didn’t have? Yeast. I still have BV!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Been with the same partner for 5 years. Then one day his semen smelled of fish and very metallic and actually caused a rash on my chest and legs. I was convinced he had Trichomoniasis. After ruling out any STD, I was prescribed Clindamycin Phosphate Vaginal Cream 2% (I am allergic to Metronidazole) for seven days to be inserted at the same time every night (which I found difficult to do because of my work schedule, so I just made sure to get it in before the stroke of midnight) for BV. Apparently, with semen being alkaline, it lowered the pH balance of my vagina. It didn’t matter how much yogurt or probiotics I took in. After the first treatment, I could smell the difference the next morning. I have one more treatment to go and have only experienced diarrhea once and mild itching of my arms and face, but no rash anywhere on my body. Maybe due to my insurance prescription plan, the medication only cost $9.00. It also came with 7 applicators."

For Acne "I was prescribed the topical gel 'Taro-Clindamycin/Benzoyl Peroxide' for acne therapy. Perhaps I used it wrong or applied too much. Within 48 hours of the first application, I experienced a small rash breakout all over my face and neck. You can't see it until you're up close, but I can feel it on my skin and when I touch it. It's itchy and dry. This has happened to me before, but it was so long ago I'm not sure if it was from the same antibiotic."

Clindamycin topical for Bacterial Vaginosis "I took Clindesse 14 days ago, and it has made my life a living nightmare! OMG, the side effects have been severe for me. I inserted it in the evening on a Sunday, and by mid 4 pm Monday, I started to feel irritability. Prior to the medicine, I did not have itching or a burning sensation. My vagina felt like it was on fire. I went to the restroom, and I saw the thickest cottage cheese-like discharge. My vulva was swollen as well. I went online to see side effects, and boom, I experienced the majority of them. The attending clinic where I had been treated and diagnosed hasn’t been responsive in scheduling an immediate follow-up. Meanwhile, it’s been 14 days, and the discharge has gone from intense to mild, but it is still present. Because I can’t take over-the-counter meds, I have been holistic to soothe my vulva from the chafing, burning, itching, and swelling. I miss my balanced pH vagina prior to BV."
