For Opioid Use Disorder "If you use an ice pack on your abdomen for 10 minutes prior to the shot, it doesn't hurt. I have been on the Suboxone strips for 8 years, and I have wanted to get off of Suboxone, so I decided to get the shot. So far, I have had no withdrawal symptoms. It is different not taking medication every day. I give this medication a 10."

For Opioid Use Disorder "So I just got my 3rd Sublocade shot 300 today. I'm very happy with the shot! My insurance covers it for $5.00. The only thing I'm worried about is when I decide to get off the shot. Has anyone decided to stop the shot? If so, was there any withdrawal symptoms?"

For Opioid Use Disorder "Started this medicine about 16 days ago, and I feel great so far. No withdrawal, and I feel more even than I have in a very long time. Of course, I kind of miss the ups of having a large dose at one time, but not having any of the lows as Suboxone wears off is really nice. I love not having to worry about running out of medicine or not being able to talk for a half hour while it dissolves. So far, so good!"

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "Scared after reading comments on Sublocade, which I had the shot today. I really hope I don't have withdrawals. But I'm used to only taking 12 mg a day. I've been on Suboxone for 1 year, before that, methadone. It seems most people are honest, but I'd like to know for the people who haven't had issues with Sublocade, are you pot smokers or taking any other meds that might be helping you deal with the switch? Because I don't, and I want to be able to balance the reviews out. Thanks."

For Opioid Use Disorder "At first, it was great for me. I never had to adjust my dose with the strips. But now I want off of everything. I have read so many testimonials about others who stopped taking Sublocade with no side effects. I'm thinking it's because it leaves your body at a slow rate, and you possibly don't have to go through withdrawal. Maybe some, but not as severe as stopping strips, as I did that, and the withdrawal was horrible. Now I had an injection 2 weeks ago with no plans of having another. I want my life back because I used it for pain control due to a broken back and neck. The testimonials I read about others who have no withdrawal experience are so super exciting for me. I believe them. WHY WOULD THEY LIE!!! I will keep you posted about progress. But scientifically, it must be true because it's leaving your body at a slow rate, hence no symptoms. Slow, maybe slow symptoms, but not vicious symptoms, so easy enough to push through. I will post again as my progress continues."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "This medication only works well for people taking low doses. If you are taking more than 8 mg, you will be in withdrawal. I was taking 16 mg a day, and within 3 days of getting my first shot, I knew immediately what was happening, as I have been through various forms of opiate withdrawals in my life. I called my doctor and begged to be put back on the sublingual medication, which he did, thank the goddess for that! Word of advice: if you are taking more than 8 mg per day, you will not do very well with this. If you are taking 8 mg or less, you will benefit. Please don’t get the idea that Sublocade is some kind of stepping stone for stopping Suboxone, as I’ve unfortunately seen in so many of these comments. Sublocade is Suboxone. It literally releases bup into your bloodstream slowly, every hour of every day. Stopping Sublocade is exactly the same thing as stopping Suboxone, and I can tell you from my experience, it will take a solid month of agonizing withdrawals to be done."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "Just awful. I was taking 16 mg of generic buprenorphine a day and decided to try this out because I was sick of having to take my meds twice a day. Days 1-3 were okay, but starting day 4, I noticed that the cravings were back and I felt way more tired. Day 5, I was in full withdrawal. I ended up going back to the doctor and he put me back on my original dose. Be advised that this works very well for some and is a complete disaster for others."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone for 17 years next month. I have changed to Sublocade, and it is my 11th day of getting the injection, and I don’t feel good. It started my third day with symptoms of withdrawal: irritated, chills, hot flashes, yawning, runny nose, and watery eyes. I feel tired a lot more than usual, and I definitely know when my body is withdrawing. I don’t know if I can do this every month."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been on Suboxone off and on for the past 6 or 7 years. My doctor talked me into trying Sublocade. I was so grateful and agreed. The first day was fine. Each day after has been horrible. Withdrawal symptoms... you never forget how it feels. So when the other doc called and said maybe it's a virus, that really annoyed me. Anyone have Sublocade not work out? I was so hopeful for this. Now what... when I did get the shot, they said it was oozing out. I specifically asked... what if I didn't get enough?! You did. You'll be fine, they said. I'm not fine. Luckily, I have Lucemyra to help."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I had high hopes for this treatment, just like everyone else who tried it. I did my research and was very optimistic. However, I have had to take Zubox every other day, otherwise, I experience withdrawal symptoms and feel sick. Today, I am supposed to receive my next shot, and I still hope it will work, but so far, it has been a terrible month. I hope my doctor believes me and allows me to go back to Zubox."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I did 2 years snorting H before I OD. I got on strips with no insurance and couldn't afford them. The strips turned me into more of an addict. When I weaned myself off, it wasn't long until another OD. 5 months of strips, then two 300 mg shots followed by three 100 mg shots of Sublocade, and I have my life back. Haven't had a shot in almost 2 months. No withdrawals, no cravings. Thank God for Sublocade! I'm just thankful I never had a serious addiction to heroin that I felt when I first went off the strips. I have my life back. I would urge anybody that is serious about getting off the merry-go-round to get on Sublocade, it was a smooth ride off. No rehab, no meetings, just done."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "SUBOXONE is 100% more addicting and had extremely terrible withdrawals. Now Sublocade is one of those things you need to be sure you want sobriety. You can’t abuse it, you can’t use on it. I was nervous I would withdraw, but I didn’t! Sober for 4 years now. 0 cravings! 300 mg isn’t equivalent to 24 mg on Suboxone. I was only on 6 mg, so being on 300 mg was more daily and perfect. But someone on the max Suboxone will not be satisfied right away on Sublocade. You’re not supposed to be on 24 mg really. The highest is 12 mg. I would suggest if you are on heroin or a high dosage of some opiate, do not go to Sublocade first. Get Suboxone first because your doctor can adjust. Jumping right to permanent help is scary for some addicts, especially if it’s not sufficient to what you usually take. But if you take 12 mg or less, Sublocade 300 mg is perfect, then you work your way down. Lastly, Sublocade may take a few months to approve on Fidelis."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "On Sublocade, the first 2 weeks, no withdrawals or slight withdrawal began occurring, so the doctor put me on Subutex for the in-between. That was my first shot of 300, going tomorrow for my second. Praying my second will be slightly better than the first."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was on fentanyl for about 2 years, got on methadone, went to treatment, stayed clean for a year. Even though I was clean, I still felt like a prisoner to pharmacies and doctors. I relapsed for a month, hot on Suboxone for 2 weeks, then the smartest move I could ever make was Sublocade. I did 3 months of 300 mg, then 1 month of 100 mg Sublocade, then I stopped going in. It’s been over 60 days since my last shot, and I feel amazing. I have gotten my sex drive back, my sleep schedule is normal, and the minor withdrawal symptoms I have last for 40 seconds. I get real warm, a sweat comes, then it goes away. It’s happened almost every second day, but it’s been 60 days. I’ll update in another 60 days. The way things are going, it’s only getting better. If you're 100 percent serious about cleaning up and getting your life back, Sublocade is the answer. My only regret was I should have done fewer Sublocade injections."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I've had the Sublocade shot nearly 2 weeks ago. I was on 18 mg of Suboxone. I also take Lyrica daily. For most of the time on the injection, I've felt withdrawals, not severe, just general unwellness, anxiety, etc."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was excited about Sublocade after hearing so many success stories of getting off the Suboxone. I was on 10-16 mg a day. I had to supplement with 2 mg of Suboxone the first day after the shot. I had the 300 mg 3 weeks ago, now I'm supplementing 6-8 mg, which seems like a step backward. If I don't take Suboxone, I feel like I'm dragging, blah, and in mild withdrawal. I was going to get another 300 mg shot just to see if I needed a higher sustained dose, but I'm afraid I will feel worse."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I just got my first Sublocade injection. I'm praying it works. It is actually 6 mgs less than what I take daily, so I hope I don't start having withdrawal symptoms. It would really suck because I have been doing so well on Zubsolv."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I’ve been on Suboxone for over 20 years. Down to 2 mg per day. These days I just use it to take the edge off... but I’m really sick of it, TBH. Although I like the buzz I get from it, I’m tired of having to take it all the time. I don’t really get very sick from withdrawals, but it is uncomfortable, with the usual sweats, cramps, and headaches. I’m hoping this will make it easier. I saw all your success stories, so I figured what’s the worst that could happen? They started me on 64 mg Subudole. They said it’s similar to Sublocade but smaller doses for lower mg addicts. The dose definitely hurts (ouch!), but it goes away within 10 min. ATM I feel okay a few hours later. I definitely still have a buzz, so all good so far. I just want to live life free of this crap for once. Also, I’m on Effexor, which I’ve been able to get down to 75 mg, but I’m not going to lower that until I’m off subs completely. So far, so good."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I had been on Subutex for 10 years, and around year 8, I was fed up with it but tried to wean off and stop taking it, but the withdrawals were horrible. My doctor retired, and a new doctor told me about Sublocade and how it’s a great drug to use in order to get off of the Subutex with little to no withdrawals. So I read a lot of the reviews, of course, a lot of people said they had little to no withdrawals, so I said okay. I didn’t want to be on the pills anymore, my mental state was already done with the addiction, but my body withdrew every time I tried to stop. So I got my first shot 3 months ago, 300 mg dose… Let me say that the peak got me high for three days, and I was scared to death. I also had horrible sleeping spells where my body would try to fall asleep at random. I am now on my third shot at 100 mg and will update on my last shot, then 3 months after I’m off. We will see."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've waited to comment to see what happened to me taking this after being on Suboxone for over 10 years. In that time, I tried to quit a few times and had such bad withdrawals that I couldn't quit while I was working and had severe restless leg syndrome. To make a long story short, I'm on 4 months with nothing after Sublocade for 4 months, then I stopped to see what will happen. I thank God every day I go without drug use. I hope I never need anything like Suboxone or Sublocade again. If you're done with taking any drug to get high, including pot or alcohol, this will take you there without being sick or withdrawing."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I was on Subutex for a little over a year for MAT. I wanted to stop taking it so badly but was terrified of withdrawals. I’m also a single mother, so laying in bed sick was not an option for me. My doctor recommended Sublocade, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I went from 8 mg of Subutex a day to NONE. Did I mention I only got one injection? That’s right! ONE! And I’ve had ZERO WITHDRAWALS. This medication was truly a miracle for me."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I've been on the shot for 13 months. It’s good and all, sure. But I have experienced brutal, horrifying, gut-wrenching withdrawals from the injection when I have stopped taking it in the past. I don’t understand why. No one seems to have experienced this. It has happened twice now. The first time something happened with the pharmacy, and my injection was 2 weeks late getting delivered (COVID), and at like day 10… I was doing my damn thing, going about my damn business, and all of a sudden I felt a little chill down my spine with a rush of heat, and BOOM I just started projectile vomiting and legit pooping myself. This wasn’t a gradual come on, people. It didn’t start with a yawn, a teary eye, and then HOURS later you start puking and pooping. No, no, no. This was something like PREcip withdrawals, people. I went from 0-100 within 10 minutes. It took three 8mg strips to get me back to normal."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I've been taking Suboxone for 2 years now, I'm down from 24 mg to 12 mg, and my counselor suggested this medication. I obviously don't like the whole no eating, drinking, or talking for 15 min before, during, and after taking the sublingual, but it works. I told my doctor no way on this stuff. I don't know if some of these positive comments are fake, but all my friends at my clinic who have tried this stuff said it was awful. And after 2 years of keeping a needle out of my arm, I'll stick with Suboxone. I'm done with going through withdrawal, so why risk this medicine? Look, if it works for you, awesome, but if you're taking something else that even remotely works, don't switch. We are drug addicts trying to stay clean, there is no magic pill, shot, or strip that suddenly changes who we are. We will struggle for the rest of our lives, so if you're having a hard time with Suboxone or methadone but it still works and you're clean off heroin or oxy, stick with it. Better the devil you know!"

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I am about 72 hours post-initial 300 mg Sublocade shot. The needle itself is painless, but the medication does hurt going in. As a previous Vivitrol patient, I expected the same results and quickly learned the difference in the two, pain-wise. For me, it definitely gives you an opiate-type high, something I wasn’t expecting, and I was very nauseous, even when previously on (2) 8 mg pills per day. The high lasted a couple of days, but now on my third day, I am starting to feel withdrawal symptoms. I woke up feeling like I am used to feeling this morning. It’s not extreme, just fatigued throughout the day. I may need to supplement a few mg per day. As for the injection, you are left with a big lump. (I am a very thin person, and it’s extremely noticeable.) I was unaware and thought it was abnormal until I read these reviews. It’s very serious, as it affects your life directly. Thanks for the input from everyone else."
