"I started out on 8mg Suboxone 3x per day. After 8 years, I was down to 8mg per day. My insurance switched me to Zubsolv. The equivalent Zubsolv dose is 5.7mg per day, according to their website. This did not cut it, and the dose had to be raised to 5.7mg 2x per day. Suboxone doses lasted about 8 hours. Zubsolv was closer to 4 hours, half of Suboxone strips when used as directed. I figured out how to get a longer duration from Zubsolv by putting the tablet between the bottom of my tongue and the gum far back on the side. This caused Zubsolv to dissolve at a much slower rate, usually 2-3 hours. This greatly increased the performance for me. Eventually, I reduced to 5.7mg divided by 4 or 1.4mg per day. After stable, I stopped taking Zubsolv (could not reduce to less than 4 parts). Withdrawal is difficult with insomnia and raised body temperature. The days are not bad, but the nights can be. This can last several weeks but becomes tolerable with a proper mindset."

"I hate this stuff. Once over withdrawals, may as well be off it. Still crave narcotics every day, and if I was able to get Vicodin, wouldn't be on this stuff. Now I'm fat, constipated, zero energy, and miserable. About to cry every day. Can't afford therapy, and NA doesn't want anyone on this stuff since it's not considered clean."

"So it's great to hear everyone being able to swap so easily, but I've been on subs for over 15 years, they saved my life. Then insurance changes have forced me to go back to Zubsolv again, and in less than a week, I had dilated pupils, couldn't sleep, all the typical withdrawal symptoms. I went from 1 and a half 8 mg strips a day to the supposedly equivalent 5.7 Zubs. So my doctor was like, listen, their whole thing is a marketing ploy to be able to sell the meds cheaper. He swapped me to the 8.2s, and I finally felt the same again. So maybe I have a crazy fast metabolism or something, but I can tell you I've had to do this twice, and both times had to be bumped up to the Zub mgs closer to the 8 mg strips, and that worked for me. Regardless of what the internet tells you, they do not have any different bioavailability than the strips, that's nonsense. Otherwise, I wouldn't get this sick every time I've been forced to switch."

"I've not had a good experience thus far. I have to pay cash because it's not covered by my insurance, and Zubsolv is CRAZY expensive ($28.00 for 1 pill). I'm not eligible to use their discount cards because I have Medicaid, although Medicaid isn't paying for a single portion of my RX. Orexo (Zubsolv manufacturer) must not want people on their medication because of the cost and unwillingness to help with discounts due to stipulations. I'll be forced to switch back to buprenorphine tablets, $164.00 a month."

"I'll be 100% real. Zubsolv is terrible. They claim that Zubs and subs are the same strength, however, that is not true. When coming off/withdrawing, SWIM can usually take a half to 3/4 of an 8mg strip of subs (possibly a full strip if SWIM's relapse is bad enough) and then they will feel fine. However, they recently tried ZUBSOLV with the directions of only needing to take one every so many hours. After waiting the correct amount of time, SWIM took the Zubsolv as instructed and soon after, the withdrawals came. After waiting an hour and a half, the withdrawals had emerged with full-on sweats, vomiting, etc., so they took a second one, and after about another hour, the vomiting had stopped, yet cold sweats and shaking were still present. It wasn't until after a third Zub was taken that my friend was even able to take a deep breath and finally sit up straight and not have to be in the restroom. And yet, still had sleepless nights. Finally went back to subs and after a half of one, had no complaints. So if you're thinking about switching, don't. The taste may be better, but wow, who cares what it tastes like? It's about being able to function without withdrawals and without cravings. So all in all, don't waste your time, your health, your money, and your sanity on ZUBSOLV."

"I love opiates. Uppers were my first love, but it was of the puppy sort. Opiates were my 'DOG LOVE,' for lack of a better phrase in the English vernacular. Pretty soon, I was spending ~$2K+ a month on pills, and I definitely don't make enough for that to be sustainable. I decided to go cold turkey and the nearest ER during withdrawals, but they turned me away (illegal... I think?). My PCP then introduced me to an online service called Ophielia. We tried Suboxone films at first, which gave me horrible constipation and fatigue. Zubsolv proved to be a far superior drug-intermittent constipation, less brain fog, less extreme fatigue, less cravings (no cravings would be a lie), ad infinitum."

"Zubsolv is considered more potent than Suboxone because it is formulated towards higher bioavailability, meaning it dissolves more quickly and is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. Important to remember, ex. 5.7 Zubsolv tablet is equivalent to one 8 mg strip. My doctor inadvertently miscalculated my initial dose. 20 mg Suboxone equals four 5.7 mg ODTs (for 22.8 mg), but that conversion is actually 32 mg. An increase of 60%. My biggest issue between Sub/Zub eventually becomes taste aversion, and both influence or promote acute tooth decay. Lightly flavored mint ODTs dissolve immediately with a quick onset effect. The strips stick to your gums for 5-10 minutes, taste disgusting, and alter the mouth's pH with severe tooth issues. Zubsolv is a brand-name drug, American-made pharmaceutical. I recommend it. Be careful, carry naloxone, and keep your medication locked up and out of sight."

"So I became addicted to opiates because I fractured both of my legs, and I had 11 surgeries. And the doctors just freaking loaded me up with narcotics. And because of this and how much I was taking, I became an addict. I never thought I'd be addicted to opiates. But lo and behold, I am. I was prescribed a fentanyl 100 microgram patch, 90 mg oxycodone, 30 mg Xanax, and 2 mg clonazepam. And I had enough, I couldn't take it anymore. I was sick and tired of taking all of those drugs, so I went to my doctor and got on Suboxone, and it saved my life. Now I know that Suboxone therapy is awful in itself, but in my opinion, Suboxone and Zubsolv is the lesser of the awfuls."

"I am transitioning from the Suboxone to Zubsolv and haven’t had any of the Joey story side effects. The only problem is as soon as the drug hits, I fall asleep after just waking up, then sit there for hours nodding like I’m on heroin… it’s great, of course, to feel so amazing but might need to dose down. WOW, this drug works!"

"I'm on Zubsolv for the first month. I was prescribed 5.7 mg one and a half times a day. I tried that dose and almost went into full withdrawals. I've been taking 12 mg of Suboxone strips for a year now. And all of a sudden, my insurance wanted me to switch. Today is day 22, and I've used all my meds. I left a message with my doc and have not heard back yet. I wouldn't recommend this med to anyone. I'm in full withdrawal right now, and I'm going to a new doc on Friday. Please say no to it, I've been fine on 12 mg of Suboxone until now!"

"I have been taking Zubsolv for a few months now for opioid dependency. Two main side effects I have from taking this medication are that it makes me nauseous and tastes like metal. I absolutely hate taking this medication, it makes it hard for me to want to stay clean. And the Suboxone gives me an allergic reaction. Wish there were an easier way to get clean."
