"Still unsure if it's helping. Inverse titration relationship between azathioprine and high dose prednisone. Now at 20 mg prednisone, 159 mg azathioprine a day. Struggling to breathe, gained weight due to prednisone."

"I've been taking this for eight months and just got out of the hospital, where I was diagnosed with pancreatitis, probably caused by this drug. I have had stomach issues and diarrhea the entire time I have been on this."

"When I could no longer take prednisone with mestinon, I was switched to azathioprine by a doctor specializing in MG and MS in Detroit, Michigan. I was warned from the beginning that it could cause lymphoma. It was difficult to take as it gave me an ill feeling in my stomach. Once I got past that feeling, it did a great job, until 17 years later when I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I'm lucky to be alive today. I have experienced many after effects. I believe there are better medicines available today."

"Very happy. Start to feel better after one week on this medication. It was a huge surprise for my doctor (he is a professor, his specialty is rare diseases), how fast I started to regain my abilities."

"I've been on it for 11 years, it's been working, I guess? I'm still on it, and I get decent doctor reports."

Azathioprine "I have been on Imuran for 6 months and find it very helpful for my ocular symptoms and moderately helpful for my generalized myasthenia gravis symptoms (fatigue and weakness). So far, normal hemograms, hepatic function tests, and renal/chem-7 results."
