"I was a study patient given Tavneos for 12 months. The drug failed to induce remission after 6 months and increased the rate of kidney damage based on my GFR, BUN, and creatinine blood levels. It did cut my prednisone dose by 1.5 mg. The trade-off wasn't worth the risk. Be careful, the company is hyping the phase III study data out of context and beyond the FDA approved label."

"Tavneos helped me achieve remission. I was on Tavneos for 6 months and not on any type of steroid along with it, just the Tavneos. No other side effects except increased blood pressure and increased blood creatinine (my GFR went from 89 to 44). My doctor started me on losartan for the BP and is just going to monitor how the blood creatinine/GFR is doing. There seems to be no study info on how and if patients' blood creatinine comes down after stopping the Tavneos. I am off the Tavneos and will begin Truxima infusions every six months to hopefully keep me in remission. I am now ANCA negative with no antibodies detected! YAY."

"Since being diagnosed with ANCA vasculitis last year, I was originally prescribed prednisone, which has many side effects. After beginning my Tavneos treatment, I was weaned off of prednisone and have been taking 30 mg morning and night. I feel much better with not having the moon face, hair loss, and other nasty prednisone symptoms. I am nine months into my diagnosis and have little to no side effects with taking Tavneos. It is very easy to take the twice-daily dose, and I would like to think that this drug therapy has helped me in my medical journey with ANCA vasculitis."
