For Diarrhea "I have colon cancer that's in my lungs now. One of the chemo drugs I take gives me explosive diarrhea. Tried Imodium, got some relief. After the 5th explosion, decided to take Lomotil. It's been an hour. No runs!! This stuff is a miracle drug."

For Diarrhea "I have recently been diagnosed with C. diff, which is a very bad bowel infection. I have lost 20 pounds due to severe diarrhea from the C. diff. My doctor prescribed me Lomotil 3 times a day to help with the urgent bouts of diarrhea. I find taking 1-2 seems to be effective enough to not have the watery poops, but enough I can live my life without urgency to go to the washroom. I've been stuck at home for over a month with worry about not finding a bathroom in time. This medicine has helped me enough to be able to enjoy some things without severe pain and diarrhea."

For Diarrhea "I took Lomotil for over 10 years, without taking it, I had up to 20 stools a day. I took 9 a day. I had to have eye surgery because it damaged my eyes. I now take Lomotil 5 a day with occasional bouts of diarrhea. Then I take 2 more. It is nice to only have 1 stool a day, after years of being a slave to the toilet."

For Diarrhea "I am taking Lomotil because I had surgery. Then a bone infection set in, and I had to take IV antibiotics, which caused extensive diarrhea. The first day I took Lomotil, it worked great for about 10 hours, but the following days decreased in its effectiveness. By the third day, it was no longer working for me, but I attribute this to the antibiotics. I will have to let my doctor know so that he can possibly prescribe another anti-diarrhea medicine or change my antibiotic."
