"Have been on Adderall for years, and so a while back I had a drug test, which is fine. I'm on Suboxone, so I drug test monthly anyway. Three months ago, my psych doctor said I tested positive for cocaine, which was never anything I did. I also offered to sign a release so she could get my records from my Suboxone doctor so she would know. Never, ever in 10 to 13 years have I tested dirty for cocaine, so why would I now? She said she wasn't interested. My blood pressure has dropped dangerously low, and the Adderall raises it, so I need back on it. What should I do?"

"I've recently been prescribed this product because of the shortage in Adderall in the States. This happened some years back when Shire had an explosion in a manufacturing facility in N.C. (fun fact). Unless you are prescribed Dexedrine, almost all the licit amphetamine is manufactured by Shire, who in turn sells it to companies that sell it under their generic labels. Those who swear one generic works better for them than another are probably right, but it has more to do with the fillers and binders in the tablet than the medication. Also, the DEA sets manufacturing quotas each year for schedule II drugs. So there are reasons it is in short supply this year, even though it's denied by the FDA. I can't tell a significant difference between Adzenys and Adderall, but like some commercials used to say, 'results may vary.' I found your comment about using Adderall as a vasopressor interesting. Way back in the day, Methedrine was used in ICU settings to help pull patients out of respiratory depression."
