For ADHD "I’ve tried almost every single combo of ADHD meds imaginable from Ritalin to Dexedrine ER to Mydayis to Guanfacine to Qelbree. My goodness, I can’t even list them all. I have ADHD-PI possibly SCT. I have problems using my brain to think like feel so lazy, no motivation. Dexedrine ER makes me sit still, got rid of my anxiety but did not help with motivation to do stuff I didn’t want to do. I would just feel amped and happy and focus on procrastination. When I take more I get chest pains. Adderall XR/Mydayis made me tweaky and overfocused. I could no longer multitask. Evekeo with 50/50 dextro and levo combo was perfect for focus and motivation! It feels so smooth! No tweakiness for some reason like Adderall. Less focus but more motivation. The only problem is I experience a crash after 3 hours. I can't get timing of the pill right. They need to make an XR of this stuff!"

For ADHD "I’ve been taking Adzenys XR-ODT 18.8 mg for the past month after I was unable to fill my Vyvanse script (70 mg) due to the national shortage. As someone who’s undergone a LOT of trial and error with stimulants (Ritalin, Concerta, Focalin, Dyanavel XR, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse), I can confidently say this medication does its job. Though I prefer Vyvanse overall, Adzenys does carry its fair share of benefits. Improved focus and greatly reduced impulsivity are the two that stick out the most. On the contrary, its adverse side effects can be an inconvenience with diarrhea/upset stomach and uncontrollable irritability during its “crash” being the most prominent (personally speaking). The packaging is neat in design and is extremely convenient when you’re on the go, however, the blisters are a pain to open. All together, I’d place this medication in the top 3 most effective stimulants with Adderall XR and Vyvanse being the ultimate champs."

For ADHD "I was taking Adderall IR 20 mg 2x daily from 2005 to 2019. I moved to a new state and had issues filling my old prescriptions until I found my new doctor, so I ran out and was unmedicated for about 2 weeks. I planned on continuing Adderall, but the doctor recommended that I try Adzenys. I can understand the people who switch from Adderall with no time in between saying that they feel nothing because Adzenys isn't such a jolting medicine, and that's what I like about it. You retain your personality, things don't irritate you, and you are able to concentrate. I started with 6 mg, and it didn't last long enough (4 hours). The next month was 12 mg, still not long enough. My third month was 15.7 mg, and it works from 8 AM - 5 PM. Unfortunately, my 4th month of 15.7 mg, I suddenly feel like it's not as effective (like I took the 12 mg). I'm going to increase to the next dosage level, and hopefully, it continues having the same effect as it used to. Definitely much easier on your body than Adderall."

For ADHD "At first, this medication worked great. Now I noticed a couple of side effects: soreness in legs, increased urination, but worst of all was the increased agitation and dry mouth. On the plus side, the medication works better than other ADHD medications on the market. It has increased focus and helped level off my energy. I built up a fast tolerance using the 9.3 mg. I have only taken it for two months, hopefully, it keeps working!"

For ADHD "It was a lifesaver at first, but with the new box I'm taking, suddenly, I don't sleep and my leg muscles are always sore. Could this be a bad batch? Did the formula change? I'm definitely scared."

For ADHD "I just started this medication, and I like it for the hyperactivity side of my ADHD. I have tried almost every ADHD medication, but most recently was on Vyvanse. With Vyvanse, I had great concentration, but the hyperactivity was not controlled well, so she had me try Adzenys. I've only been on it about a week, and the taste is not that bad for being a dissolvable medication. But I will say that I can't take it immediately and then go to work because I become almost spaced out. I know I probably need to adjust to it, and it's great once the first hour has passed. I'm still unsure whether I will stay on Adzenys or switch back to Vyvanse, but so far, so good."

For ADHD "My son's doctor gave him this to try. It's pretty much the same as Adderall. I didn't see a big difference in his behavior compared to generic Adderall. There's not much point in paying a premium price (no generic) for the same effectiveness as his usual med."

For ADHD "I was put on this drug, and today was my first day. I appreciate these reviews and probably should wait before I review. I've been on Adderall XR 20 and one Adderall quick release 20 daily for the past two years. Before this, the dose was higher, but then I turned 50, so... I'm not anxious, and don't have the butterflies in my stomach. I am good so far and really hope those reports about messing up sleep don't happen to me."

For ADHD "I've been on Adzenys for a little over a year now and have mixed feelings about the drug. I'm a 23-year-old male, not taking any other medications, and in good physical condition. Currently prescribed the 15.7 mg dose, but am going to make the switch to Adderall XR for a few reasons. First, this drug can be extremely hard to locate, and if a pharmacy doesn't have it, it tends to take a while to get it in. Secondly, it has caused severe insomnia. I see some other people have had that subside within a few weeks, but I've had it for practically the entire time. Lastly, its ability to help me maintain drive and focus is too infrequent. Sometimes it's a miracle of a drug, other times, I misplace and lose things one after the other and can't remember things I had just heard or read. It's like sometimes I am completely there and focused, and other times I'm floating around, if that makes any sense."

For ADHD "Tried all these different medicines and found Vyvanse XR worked perfect until insurance didn’t cover it anymore, so I took Concerta, and that basically made my heart rate go up to 170 BPM, and it was ridiculous. So I tried a newer medication, Evekeo, and it’s good but causes a hell of a withdrawal, including anger, diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, and loss of appetite, but for the most part, it’s good."

For ADHD "I've been on ADHD medication for a very long time. My body had built a pretty strong tolerance to stimulants. I combine normally IR Adderall, Vyvanse, and XR Adderall, and now I combine Zenzedi (great, btw), IR Adderall, and this medication, and the only thing I noticed is no increase in focus at all, but some weird increase in insomnia, which is unusual because it's not like an anxiety insomnia, but a strange almost increased ADHD insomnia I had growing up. Normally, after taking my ADHD medications, I can sleep without issue, but this one causes me to just stay awake without jitters, focus, anxiety, or anything. I don't care for it."

For ADHD "18-year-old college female. I've been medicated for 4 years now and tried Concerta (which was hell) and Vyvanse (the devil's drug). Evekeo was amazing at first, kind of similar to Vyvanse, and then it went downhill. Whereas on Vyvanse I just wouldn't eat and was depressed and spacey, this one didn't have side effects like that. But after a while, it made me incredibly mean and didn't seem to take away the verbal impulse side of the hyperactivity. I'm normally an incredibly happy person, but when I'm on this medicine, I'm a bitch to whoever over whatever for no reason at all. It did help with the focusing though."

For ADHD "Disappointing, oh so disappointing. Used to be on Adderall XR and loved it. When the doctor told me I could not go up on the dosage anymore, I had to switch to Adzenys. Starts great at first, but after the second month, I started feeling very lethargic the next day. Then I started to oversleep for work. Started with 30 minutes, and then it jumped to 2 hours. He had to prescribe me another medicine with Adzenys for it to stop the lethargic response, which was Qelbree. So I take that at night. The Adzenys works, again, but it makes me more tired, and I don't feel like I am focusing on my priorities, but I focus on more fun things about me, and only things that I feel like doing."

For ADHD "After both Ritalin and Adderall aggravated my anxiety and caused my heart to race, my doctor suggested Evekeo. It did not cause my heart to race, but I was only on 5 mg, and it did not help my symptoms. My doctor upped me to 10 mg, but I was unable to afford it even with the copay card because I don't have very good insurance. I'm trying to find a way to afford it because it was so great to find an ADHD med that didn't cause my heart to race like others."

For ADHD "I just recently had to switch doctors because I moved states. Well, she switched my meds. I was on Adderall XR. It worked really well for me, but she insisted this new medication would be much better. I have now been on Adzenys for one week, and I’m miserable. I have a migraine-like headache, and I haven’t slept more than 3 hours at a time. I will be putting in a call tomorrow for my old Adderall."

For ADHD "My son is 11, and we have tried multiple medications since he first started school. I was doing my best to avoid a stimulant medication, but after years of him dealing with nausea from his non-stimulant, we decided to try something new. From day one, we were able to see a difference. He was more focused and had little trouble staying on task. No nausea at all! He also takes a mood stabilizer to counteract the side effects of mood swings he's suffered with stimulants before. Because of our schedule, he takes it around 5 a.m. every day, but it seems to wear off by noon. He's still moody, but I have trouble making out if his moods are from the meds, puberty, the fact that his dad just left for a year deployment, or a mix of it all. We have noticed he had an issue with a dry and sore throat. He has no issues until after he takes it in the morning. Overall, it's better than the non-stimulant meds, but I'm still pretty uncomfortable that he's taking an amphetamine medication."

For ADHD "Been on this for about 3 months now. At first, it was great in keeping me focused on tasks at work and at home, but it is starting to not be as effective, I feel. My doctor prescribed me the 18.8 mg variety based on my weight and also because I am a gastric bypass patient, as I digest and absorb things differently, which is why we didn't go the more known route of Adderall. As I've taken this medication, especially over the last month, I've noticed I have more anxiety, and I'm not my normal happy-go-lucky self. I have a follow-up in April with my doctor and will address these issues then to see what other game plan we can come up with. I've heard from a friend that also had gastric bypass that she takes Vyvanse."

For ADHD "I was 28 when diagnosed with ADHD, and I was started on 20 mg Adderall 2x daily. It worked okay, but it was lacking. I then, at my next follow-up, was prescribed 30 mg XR Adderall. She told me if I started to crash, take one of my 20 mg IR. The 30 mg XR once a day, and it worked way better! Well, due to a neck injury that happened when I was 19, and 3 levels of artificial discs. She told me that my prescription 'credit score' was on the high side. Of course, I was open to try the Adzenys. Okay, the pharmacy was 45 minutes away, and of course, they only had the exact amount I needed. So, I start this new medication in hopes of becoming refocused, less irritated. You know, all the things that come about when you’re unmedicated. I’ve been on this medication for at least a week. However, I don’t take it on the weekend. Since Monday, I’ve noticed I don’t feel as if it works during the day, but I have experienced the worst insomnia."

For ADHD "Because of the Adderall shortage, I was recently switched to Adzenys, and I’m not a huge fan of it. I guess it somewhat works, but for the most part, it just makes my stomach hurt and makes me feel insane. My mood swings on this medication are horrible. I’ve never had mood swings before (unless I’m on my lady days), and it’s terrible. I never had a problem with going to sleep on Adderall, but this medication keeps me up at night. I have pretty bad anxiety, and this medication makes it a million times worse. Other than the side effects, the drug works fine, but it’s hard to focus with all of the side effects."
