Amphetamine for ADHD "After Adderall and Ritalin made me incredibly irritable, moody, and anxious, I tried Evekeo, and it is my miracle drug! I've been on it for 2 years now and have no complaints. I recommend this drug if you have failed the more popular stimulants! 11/10 recommend!!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "I was very disappointed with varying generics of Adderall XR for my combined ADHD. Brand was better but caused some side effects. Adzenys ODT is a million times better than either. I think my body doesn't respond well to amphetamine salts (Adderall) but does to amphetamine base (Adzenys). Or maybe some of the inactive ingredients that are artificial sweeteners in Adderall (aspartame, for example) are reacting badly; I know I can't eat or drink any foods with aspartame or saccharin without getting headaches and low blood sugar, but this would still not explain why the active amphetamine in Adzenys works so much better for me, so I'm going to have to go with the salt vs. base hypothesis. Adzenys doesn't make me sleepy like Adderall XR/IR, feels cleaner and smoother, works better for ADHD symptoms like impatience, impulsivity, procrastination, avolition, and task initiation and completion. I just wish there was an Adzenys IR."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I was that mom... the mom that was 100% against medicating my child. I fought it for years until I could no longer handle his behavior, so I agreed to give something a try. He has a diagnosis of anxiety, sensory processing disorder, ODD, and ADHD. Our pediatrician started him on 2.5 mL, increasing to 3.5 mL throughout the month. This medication has been life-changing for him and everyone else in our household. He is back to being my sweet, loving, respectful little boy and is doing much better academically too! He has had zero negative side effects except a little weight loss, but overall his appetite doesn’t seem to have decreased any, he sleeps well and I haven’t noticed it “wearing off” later in the day. I started getting positive reports from his teachers almost immediately. I am so thankful his doctor put him on this medication, my only regret was not starting it sooner!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "I had tried everything and didn't like how all of the other stimulants made me feel. My doctor mentioned this and that it was new, and it blew my expectations out of the water. It's incredibly useful, but you don’t feel like you’re on medicine, you don’t feel the highs and lows that even Adderall or others cause. It’s extremely smooth, and it got me back to normal."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I never knew I had ADD until my daughter was diagnosed. During her interview, I realized I had all the same symptoms. I tried the 3.1 mg for three days and felt a lot better. I also noticed I slept really well. I have had insomnia my entire life, and for the last 6 years, I have been seeing a sleep specialist/researcher. We have tried so many different sleep meds, and my primary had me on Xanax for a couple of years. Nothing truly worked until I found this med. Now I take 6.3 mg, feel great all day with no side effects, and the best thing is I sleep with no aids and I don't take Xanax anymore. I feel great, and my sleep specialist was able to get me three years, yup that’s right, three years for free!! I have two insurances and neither was going to pay!!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "My 5 1/2-year-old son was given this in the past month. We switched from Quillivant XR. This is much better for him. He thinks much more clearly, can focus, and have a conversation. He doesn't have the anxiety that Quillivant was causing or the emotional crash when the medicine wore off. It's very expensive even with insurance since it's so new, but the doctor gave us a discount card to make it very affordable, and another problem is all pharmacies don't carry it. Overall, much better for his ADHD and fewer side effects. His school even noticed an immediate difference."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I was taking 2 of the 20 mg Adderall a day, and they wore off quick. The doctor had tried my son on this new medicine, and it worked for him. So I asked our doctor to switch me also. The only drawback was that no one in our town carries it. I could either drive an hour to a Walgreens that carried it or wait a week for the Walgreens in our town to get it in. They said they won't just order this medicine to keep on hand until we have filled 4 prescriptions, which I thought made no sense. Luckily, our local CVS has it on hand, and the $25 coupon our doctor gave us has been wonderful. With our insurance, it would cost $89, but I was able to get the first prescription FREE!! And then each one after for $25."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Simply the best. The only side effect of this med is increased concentration and dry mouth :). It doesn't make me feel like my heart is racing or that my blood pressure is up. I'm really happy with this med. I had a hard time sticking with Concerta and other off-brands, and I didn't like any of the Adderall products. Since starting this, I haven't missed a single dose."

For Narcolepsy "This medicine changed my life - I have chronic fatigue and I take it because I am constantly tired and have no energy. This has given me the energy I need to be a mom and a normal human being. This is the first stimulant I tried. My doctor prescribed me Adderall. After my insurance wouldn't cover it, there are major differences. Adderall XR makes me on edge and nasty, but the Adzenys doesn't give me any side effects besides appetite loss. Amphetamine for ADHD "My son has tried everything for ADHD. Vyvanse wears off too quickly, and Adderall XR made him moody. We tried the dissolvable tablet, but he hated the gritty orange flavor. As a last resort to going back to Vyvanse, the pediatrician put him on the new long-acting Dyanavel XR. It lasts all day, which is great for all the middle school homework he has in the evenings. My favorite thing about Dyanavel is that he still has his appetite and is sleeping well. The copay card made it cheaper than a generic too!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "I was a little skeptical to try a new drug, but when my Daytrana went on backorder, I listened to my doctor, and I'm glad I did. I hate to swallow pills and didn't want to carry around any syrup with me, so this works perfectly for me. It actually tastes like orange! Which, as you know, most drugs don't actually taste like the flavor they say it should, so I was pleasantly surprised. I got to try it out free for the first month and will be continuing to use it in the future!"

For ADHD "I am on Dexamphetamine, got diagnosed with ADHD only at age 40. I self-medicated with alcohol for 20 years and was on 5 mood stabilizers. I feel like a reborn person, detoxed of alcohol and all meds, replaced it all with Dexies, and WOW, I am alive! It took me 4 months to get used to them. They are a real pain in the neck to take every 2 hours. In the 1st 4 months, it was hell, I became so incredibly depressed, wanted to jump off a bridge. The interval was too big: 4-5 hours. I pushed it to 40 mg a day every 2 hours. He said, 'You won't sleep if you take them after 5 pm.' I sometimes take them at 9 pm and sleep at 11 pm. Side effect: big headaches if I dare to forget my pill after 2 hours."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I have taken Adderall XR for several years and found that long-acting amphetamine was the best treatment for my ADHD. However, I frequently had issues remembering to take it in the mornings and would often forget to take my medicine. Adzenys XR-ODT is so convenient in the blister pack I remember to take it, and the orange flavor is great! It lasts all day, and I don't get a bad crash at the end of the day like I used to with my Adderall XR. Also, got the first month free and pay only $25 per month with the co-pay card."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Recently, I switched from taking Adderall to Vyvanse and then to Adzenys. I have been taking short-acting Adderall tablets on and off for the past twenty years, twice a day. I tried Vyvanse hoping that it would last longer during the day, up to twelve hours. Unfortunately, I experienced terrible side effects, such as mood swings, insomnia, and zero focus. I tried doses ranging from 40-70mg and spent six months on it, only to switch to Adzenys. I started taking Adzenys last month, and it is more like Adderall. It provides a mellow focus and does not cause additional anxiety. However, it only lasts for about six to eight hours, and my doctor is hesitant to prescribe it twice a day. We are increasing the dose this month, and I hope it is more effective. The packaging is inconvenient, but the medication works, and the carry case is nice and fits in my locked bag for safety. The easy-to-take tabs are definitely a hazard around children because they look like candy or something. However, if you are responsible for your medications and keep them locked up for safety, it should not be a problem. The pharmacy takes a long time to restock it as well."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My son started taking Adzenys XR-ODT about 18 months ago, at the age of 8 years old, and it has been the best option so far. Prior to that, he had been on Adderall, Adderall XR-ODT, and Cotempla XR-ODT (which made him incredibly moody in the afternoons as it wore off). He's maintained the 9.4 dosage for 18 months, and we are pleased with it. It dissolves, so I give it to him about 45 minutes before he needs to wake up - which makes mornings so much smoother in our household! We still have to make sure he eats enough - although he is usually ravenous at bedtime once it's worn off - but it's worth it."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Vyvanse was too expensive, and insurance didn't cover it. I had a coupon for Adzenys. $50.00 a month with a coupon. Both did well at controlling my anxiety related to ADD. I focus a good 8 hours with Adzenys. The packaging is a pain to open. It tastes really good, and I've had NO dry mouth! Makes me wonder how I made it without saliva the previous year."
