For Behcet's Disease "I'm in the early phase of using this medicine. If you don't have insurance coverage, it's extremely expensive (about $2,100.00 a month) for two injections! I was skeptical at first, but I am now on my 5th injection and can honestly say I have almost no pain in my joints. I noticed improvement after the 4th or 5th week (2nd injection). It hasn't improved my energy level, mouth ulcers, or vision issues, but the joint pain relief is awesome! I can finally open a jar, turn on a faucet, and comb my hair without any pain. I am still taking Plaquenil, Colcrys, and Prednisone, but no pain medicines!"

For Crohn's Disease, Maintenance "Have been on Humira for 2 months. Discontinued Endicort as MRI showed it was not working, although I felt good. Within weeks, got very sick again with fatigue, joint pain, and abdominal pain. I had to go off work. Gastro doctor prescribed prednisone for 5 weeks to buy me more time for the Humira to start working, which was very effective for the pain. Have just finished the prednisone 5 days ago, so am waiting for my Crohn's symptoms to return. So far, so good, but my energy level is low."

For Ulcerative Colitis "I have been on Humira 40 mg every other week for approx 6 months. My TNF is still high, and I am in the midst of a horrible, painful bout with UC. And of course, my gastroenterologist is on vacation this week, and no one is on call for her. I have to say that Humira has not helped me at all, and this bout is very painful. I cannot eat and have limited drinks. Water hits hard. I have been sipping on Coke with fresh lemon in it. Does anyone else have this issue when their UC is full-blown? Not able to eat, fatigue, acute abdominal pain, and passing a lot of mucus. I am at my wit's end. Any help?"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Not completely pain-free and stiff-joint free. But the fatigue is awful. 5 injections so far, and I can sleep all day if my family didn't need me. Very lethargic and drained."

For Ulcerative Colitis "I used for 6 weeks of Humira (all 7 injections) for no improvement in my ulcerative colitis. Bad side effects: fatigue, burning skin, so very uncomfortable for weeks."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Humira is awful stuff. Muscle and joint pain when I never had it before. Upper respiratory infections that won’t clear up. Bruising-like big bruises that have no specific cause. Caused breakouts/flare-ups. Fatigue. And this happened consistently every time I would do an injection. This last injection time the upper respiratory infection started on December 19th, and I still have it on New Year’s Eve. I wouldn’t recommend this med to anyone. The only upside is the Humira people are very nice and helpful."
