"I have taken tramadol off and on for years. Everybody is different, and everybody has different pain and different tolerances. Tramadol will help minor pain. For me, 50 mg did nothing, so I had to take it 3 times a day. I felt some relief, not pain medicine for me though! But it is better than nothing. Everybody has their own pain levels, and tramadol can treat those with minor pains and for some people who can’t handle the stronger pain pills."

"I've had an extracted tooth before, but this was the first time I'd been given Tramadol/Acetaminophen for pain afterward. I literally called the pharmacist, crying my head off, asking what else could I take for the pain! I don't remember what I'd been given in the past; (T-3) maybe, but THIS doesn't work at all like whatever I'd had before! I counted on this medicine to get me through the healing peacefully. It has not."

"I have taken it for 2 issues over the last 2 years. First was a lower disc, second was a pinched nerve in the neck, so upper disc. Without it, I could not function. The first time was 6 pills a day for 2 months. The second was 3 pills a day for 4 weeks as the pinched nerve needed less. Nothing else allowed me to move, work, sleep. Without it, with the disc issue, I could not stand. I must say coming off was hard. I went slowly down to 1 and stopped, but could not sleep for 4 to 6 weeks. Feels like you drank 10 coffees before bed. Pulse in the 90s, I am norm of 65 pulse. It is worth it for allowing me to function, but I wish there was some way to avoid the withdrawal as I'm in fear I will need it again someday. Sleeping pills and other things did not help."

"I have had severe knee pain since I broke my femur about 2 1/2 years ago. My doctor prescribed tramadol/acetaminophen, and it worked really well. Since then, I have been prescribed Tramadol 100 mg, time release, 3 times per day. On its own, tramadol does not work as well for me. Clearly, the Tramacet 3.27 is better for my joint pain."

Acetaminophen / tramadol "80% effective for an old man (age 84) pain -- back, legs, prostate flare-ups that typically come on at the end of the day. One tablet reliably kicks in at about 45 min and lasts for 12-18 hours. Often supplement with an extra 500 mg of Tylenol. Slight constipation side effect. Easier sleep, especially with a booster of a microdose of marijuana at bedtime. Been using for a year or more with no diminution of effectiveness. Swimming or 45 min supervised resistance training is equally effective, but one is not always up to it, in which case this medicine does the trick."

"Having shoulder pain for many months, went to the doctor. The insurance company denied the test that he ordered, and they put me on the Tramadol 35.7 mg, acetaminophen 325 mg, and it's barely touching it. I'm not sleeping, so we're waiting to see what can be done."

"I was taking Norco 10-325 for back pain. After 6 years, my Dr changed to tramadol 50mg. Side effects are killing me. Now I do have a lot of pain in my liver and my kidneys, nausea, black stools, and I wonder if I should take an attorney and sue him."

"This medication did not help me with my pain, period. I took up to 400 mg at once and still no relief, but it did make me feel nauseated and gave me a headache. It's synthetic and really more like a weak antidepressant. I was prescribed it to alternate with my hydrocodone 10 mg tabs. I stopped my Norco for a 2-week period to give tramadol a chance, but it never worked. This stuff is rubbish! No, it's not equal to codeine. I have taken codeine, and tramadol is entirely different in effect. Sorry, I'll stick to true morphine-based pain meds like codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc. Even synthetic Darvocet worked better than this stuff!"

Acetaminophen / tramadol "I used Ultracet 0.4 mg for my abdominal pain. But it's not very useful to me. I took one Ultracet before the pain worsened, but still not provided a good relief to me. I went to the hospital after 4 hours as my pain increased gradually."

"I've been using the red capsules for several years with good results. Recently, I was given the beige capsules by Amneal, and they make me sick and do not reduce my pain. There were a few white ones mixed in with the others, which also worked. I now have a bottle of beige ones, which are worthless unless you want to feel worse. And, I am unable to get any others because they're controlled, and the pharmacy says beige is all they can get from their supplier."

Acetaminophen / tramadol "Take this when taking a triptan for headache pain. This is to bring baseline pain level down a few notches. If I was late taking my regular abortive, it usually won't work unless I can get a control on the pain. Ultracet is mildly okay at this, just a trial for headache pain, as I've tried many others, but not too bad to have sometimes. Can be somewhat effective."

"Taken after laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal with torsion. I usually can only tolerate Toradol for pain due to severe vomiting that occurs with strong pain meds. I took 4 mg of Zofran 15 mins prior on a full stomach, and the incision pain lessened about 20 mins later, plus no intestinal side effects. Highly recommend taking with anti-nausea if your stomach can't tolerate it alone."

Acetaminophen / tramadol "I take Ultracet tablets when it is needed, that may be once a day or once a week or fortnightly, whatever it may be because of joint pain. It really gives me relaxation from pain. Since Dolo or P 650 does not give me satisfactory results, I use it for better results. Apparently, I do not feel any side effects."

"I have suffered from moderate to severe back pain for 15 years. I have a disk herniation and a pinched nerve. Lots of pain all day. Nothing relieves it. I have been on tramadol 50 mg. After 4 years on the tram, I became addicted. I loved it because I could work like hell on it. Pain gone. Took anywhere from 100-400 mg a day. I had the doctor take me off. Took some of my wife's here and there. I called my doctor and told her she had to give me something. I was missing work a lot, and I just can't go without something for the bad days. She gave me Ultracet. Literally does almost nothing for me but makes me nauseated. Maybe it doesn't work because I've been taking tram until she gave it to me? Built a high tolerance?"

"I was taking hydrocodone 10 for years for degenerative disks in my neck and lower back. I started seeing a different doctor that was indifferent to prescribing them because of the bad hype and didn’t want to have to prescribe them monthly. So he asked me to try Tramadol HCL 50 mg, and so I did for three months. They made me nauseous for hours until it wore off. I tried taking 1/2 and still felt nauseous, but not as bad. They do not even compare to my Norcos, and I couldn’t get past the nausea I feel after taking the pill. So I heard of Tramadol with Tylenol from something I read, and I’ve started doing some research. The reviews on the tramadol/Tylenol are mostly very positive, and it might be as good or better than the Norcos I have been taking for 30 years or more. So why did my doctor prescribe me the Tramadol HCL 50 mg and not the Tramadol/Tylenol 50 mg? Well, that is a question that I can't wait to ask him when I go see him, but I won’t be taking any more of the HCL."

"Been taking now for 3 days. I was diagnosed with severe arthritis and bone spurs in my left knee. (tons of bone spurs)!!!! It was an old injury (30 yrs old). I hadn't ever gotten it operated on. I'm 46 and the injury was done when I was 15. My knee is trashed. I went to see the surgeon and this is what he gave me. So far it hasn't done anything but make me want to take more. It's not working for me. I guess the pain is just too much...anyhow I go back to see my family doctor in a few days and will post some more of this so you can maybe help me with what to do about getting something stronger......"
