Acebutolol "I've had high blood pressure since I was 19 and been on many blood pressure meds that just stopped working. My doctor put me on Acebutolol when I was 35. I'm 45 now and my blood pressure is always perfect or low! I was on a second medication when I started and I was off that two years after starting Acebutolol. This medication is awesome! When I was unemployed, Medicaid required a prior authorization! So I had to borrow the money to fill it!"

Acebutolol "I have been on Acebutolol (Sectral) for 2 years now, and my BP is pretty controlled. I am also on it for an elevated heart rate not related to mitral valve prolapse. My heart rate is usually in the 80s now. :)"

"Acebutolol (for whatever reason) is hard to find user info on. I have been on it almost 1 year, and once my body adjusted to it (less than 1 week), it has been pleasant. No side effects, no hair loss. It keeps my BP in perfect range, and my resting HR has gone from 98 to 62 (I wear a FitBit 24/7). I've also been able to lose 40 lbs while on this medication (further helping my HR and BP). I take it at night, so any fatigue will occur while I'm sleeping."

"I have been on it for a year. No problems until now. My hands and feet hurt. My skin is super dry. Heart rate is fine, but muscles and other parts of my body are not getting enough blood. I take it for HOCM, so I will have to tell my cardiologist and taper off. I take the lowest dose capsules."
